《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 29 - Gold Mine

As long as you continue to grow stronger, you could live longer and never die. This was always a dream of Fuyo's. He wanted immortality, that's why he chose the path of world domination. If he conquered the world he would be remembered forever. But in this world he could actually live forever? What kind of crazy concept is that?
His blood boiled just thinking about it.
"Are there any knives in the bags of holding?"
Tuzai sent her spiritual sense inside the bag and shook her head.
"Are there any swords?"
A wind came from the space and a sword appeared. It was a beautiful red sword; it seemed to glitter in the sun.
"Good, that will do. Withdraw some low quality meat and we will start testing different cooking methods."
He didn't have any herbs, spices or flavoring so the meat would probably be very plain. He used the sword to cut the meat into smaller pieces. When he cut the meat the sword seared it as he cut and emitted steam from the evaporated blood.
"How come the sword is searing the meat? That's pretty cool."
"No way...It can't be." She almost bit her tongue as she said these words.
"It can't be true can it? Is it really...."
"What can't be true?" Fuyo saw her reaction and desperately wanted to know.
"This sword contains the attribute of fire, it's the only way it could sear the meat like that. Only Earth profound weapons are imbued with elemental properties. This....This sword is a great treasure!"
"It's...it's really that amazing?" Fuyo could feel the strength pulsing through the sword, but he thought his judgment of strength was different from this worlds. After all, his judgment of strength was based on a world that was thousands of times weaker than this world. So he tried not to make hasty judgements.
"An earth profound weapon is a real treasure; if you sold this you could buy the farm you wanted to buy. These guys were seriously rich, no guards could be this rich. No matter how long they have been scamming people. I think...we may have scammed someone we shouldn't have."

He shrugged his shoulders "No big deal, if trouble comes we can deal with it then."
He threw the meat on the hot flat stone that was being heated by the fire beneath it. He was very meticulous; he didn't know what kind of meat this was so he had to pay a lot of attention to the cooking process.
He cooked a lot in his past life; he had no one to look after him or to cook for him so he taught himself how to cook. When he became the Lord of Wsc village, he got professional cooks to teach him their skills. He learnt how to use spices, herbs and sauces to improve the flavor. He wasn't a master but he wasn't a buffoon when it came to cooking either.
Sssssssizzz..le
The smell started to lift up into the air and the wind blew it around. The kids smelt the delicious meat cooking and couldn't help but be drawn to it.
"Uhhh, big brother, big sister, what is that?" Drool dripped down the kid's mouth as he saw the meat cooking.
"It's beast meat, do you want to taste some?"
"Beast meat? Yuck!" They expressed their displeasure but then the smell assaulted their noses once again. With drool dripping down their face they said "Oh, maybe just a little bite."
Fuyo didn't know if his current body could digest meat but Bees can turn into humans so why wouldn't they be able to eat meat?
He recalled that they can only turn into humans at a certain cultivation level. He and Tuzai had not reached that level yet so it would be best to let these kids taste some first and see what it does to them.
He turned to Tuzai and whispered to her "Tuzai-chan, send out your spiritual sense and monitor what happens to these kids' bodies."
With his current strength he couldn't use his spirit sense to scan other people, he could only use it to scan his own body and even that was hard so he had to ask Tuzai to do it for him.

"Younger brothers and sisters, my friend here is going to scan your bodies. If you let her then you can have some."
They nodded their heads, it didn't matter to them. There were 6 of them in total so Fuyo cut the large steak into 6 pieces and gave a piece to each of them. The meat was a bit charred in places because he had no oil to supplement the cooking process. It was also a bit dry but they didn't seem to mind.
The one at the front looked at the meat in front of him then slowly put it into his mouth, it was beast meat so he was afraid it would taste disgusting and make him puke.
Chomp
"Mmmmmmm..... Grrrrrrr!"
He went from eating slowly to devouring the piece like a fierce beast; his face had an expression of joy on it like it was the best thing he had ever eaten in his whole life. The other kids never held back either and started viciously tearing at the meat. Even though Fuyo split it into 6 pieces it was still way too big for them to eat.
They ate half of the steak and were already full, but they didn't stop just because they were full. They grew greedy and tried to fit more in their stomach until they reached the point of throwing up.
"Bleuh!"
They threw up and then ate some more meat until they really couldn't eat anymore because their jaws were exhausted from chewing so much.
"These kids have probably never eaten anything good in their lives until this day, so it's only natural that they would gorge out the first chance they get."
Quite a bit of meat was left over from their endeavors so they hid it away for later, afraid Fuyo might ask for it back.
Tuzai's face was frozen in ice, her mouth agape.
"What's the matter Tuzai-chan? Are you alright? You look like you just saw a ghost haha" Fuyo laughed at her reaction but he was also curious why she had that strange look on her face. She turned to Fuyo slowly and retracted her spirit sense.
"It's...This is...How do I explain it?" She was lost in her own thoughts trying to make sense of the situation.
"Don't lollygag, hurry up and spit it out!" Fuyo was anxious to see what happened, did it poison them? Are they going to die? It's a sad outcome but that's the way of life, he would light incense on their graves and pay tribute. After all, they could have just saved his life so it was the least he could do.
"The meat, it's like..."
She was silent for a few minutes, Fuyo patiently waited for her to respond. He couldn't force it out of her because she was still trying to process the information
"The meat is like a typhoon, it's...it's not only being digested but it's supplying their dantian with massive amounts of energy. There is nothing toxic and it's not hurting their bodies in anyway. It's like absorbing spirit stones, these kids had no cultivation before but by the time the meat finally gets digested they would have all broken through to the first layer of qi condensation." She finished her speech but she was sweating. Then finally she said one last sentence.
"I think... We just stumbled across a gold mine."

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”
