《The Journey's of an uninterested person》Chapter 3

As Zeil walked, he observed the surroundings, he noticed the elven had a distinctive culture like the Amazonians who inhibited the great forest known to all in his previous life as the lungs of the earth. A simplistic nature he thought, much like the hermit he once learned from, these elven seem to live in harmony with nature. The village in fact was not small. A misconception caused from the distance from the view of the forest. And whilst not small it was hard to call it huge. In his previous life he had once seen cities span greater lengths and widths than countries.in fact towards the end of his life’s that he had not perished in. the planet was dominated by cities so large they would join continents together. As impressive the culture was, it was the beauty of the village that sparked his interest. There have been few civilizations in his past life’s which had aesthetic beauty built into the very foundations of their life styles. And it was intriguing to see how the homes were built out of hollowed out trees that spanned kilometres in to the sky. How even the green of the forest reached into the homes of every villager. And how plant life extended into the eleven lifestyles with vibrant plants growing from every wall and crevice.
Laene the elven who was leading the stroll, slowed to a halt Infront of a building. This building was different to the others in the village. It had the presence of majesty around it. And the scent of something ancient and old reverberated through it.
Laene spoke “this is the elders hall, and this is where you can speak to him, so far you have shown no hostilities to our people and have been accommodating in our requests. Please note. Should that change you will be dead before a finger twitches”

Zeil said nothing. He had heard it all before, threats, promises, curses, he wasn’t offended. He looked laene in the eyes and when the elven met with his gaze. Zeil could tell that his impassive countenance uncomforted the eleven who wasn’t expecting such a lack lustre response.
Laene paled a bit and before he could continue
A new elven appeared
“laene, thank you, the elder has said that the visitor can meet him right now”
The elven turned and spoke to Zeil
“Visitor, please follow me”
The elven then turned away and Zeil and the new elven began their journey to the elders location
The eleven turn to zeil and spoke “forgive my manors, my name is triel, the elders assistant may I ask visitor, your name”
Zeil spoke calmly “my title is Scholar; my name has long been lost to time and if you were to ask many of my past companions they would know me by different names. Thus, please if you were to address me call me Scholar for that is what I identify the most with”
Treil replied
“very well Scholar, we have reached the elders location, please wait here whilst I inform the elder”
A few minutes later triel returned
“you may enter now, the elder awaits”

The plan is to post at least a chapter a week and more if I find time. Also, in order to not disappoint any expectations; the story plays in a fictional world reminiscent of the real world 17th to 19th century with some supernatural elements, but no obvious magic or game-like system.
