A woman with long blonde hair wore a set of silver armor. She walked through a group of people with a notepad in her hand. She looked around and noticed a man wearing a white shirt and black pants.
“Oh Gray! good work on this raid as always!” She patted Gray on his shoulder and continued
“Here is your share” In her hand appeared several items, she handed them over to Gray who took them and put them in his inventory.
“Thank you” Gray said as he walked away through a group of several people. Some were chatting, while others attended to people that were slightly wounded.
“Oh did you hear about Hokkaido?” A hunter asked his friend.
“Yeah man, really hope they succeed, that dungeon was ranked A right?”
Gray walked past the group.
The two men noticed his presence, immediately asking the question that popped on their mind.
“Hey Gray! Did you get your rank allotted?” the man asked
Gray slightly tilted his head back to see the men before replying
“Haven't yet”
“Ahah, I bet you’d get rank D at least. Might even get a rank C if you’re lucky!” The man said while smiling.
Gray walked away casually.

Sung Ho sat alone in his personal office. This office was very elaborate, housing many facilities. It had the over the top comfort, to the point that it even had its own separate bathroom that had a shower room and tub. Moreover, if Sung Ho ever needed to rest, he could take a nap in another room that had a bed. Therefore, it could barely be called an office but was more so a luxurious apartment.
Sung Ho had his eyes closed.
‘What is it that I can do?’ he thought to himself

The city was very alive these days. There were people moving around everywhere. Gray walked for about 15 minutes before reaching a tall building, it was the hunters association. The building seemed to undergo some renovations. Beside the building was a circular building that was under construction as well, he wondered what the purpose of that building was.
‘Maybe it’s a stadium?’
As Gray wondered he walked into the hunters association, at the entrance a lady was standing. It was Linda, she immediately noticed Gray.
“Hunter Gray! Please follow me”
Linda walked Gray to a place inside the building. Here there was a line of people.
“Please wait here Hunter Gray” Linda pointed towards the line.
The group of people looked towards Gray. Some were nervous, while others stood there confidently.
A man at the front of the line was standing there nervously
‘Please if I could just get rank D..rank D….D’ he said to himself over and over again.
“Next!” A lady shouted from inside the room.
The man walked in slowly, after a minute or so he came out with a large smile on his face.
‘Yes! I did it! Now I can earn a lot of money!’ the man walked past the group of people waiting.
He was then approached by several people
“Our guild offers a lot of benefits! Please see them here!” A man shouted as he held a pamphlet in his hand
“Please see my guild!” a women shouted
Many people tried to get the man’s attention, he felt overwhelmed.
Gray stood and observed the scenario.
Hunters were like precious gems. They were limited in number and everybody wanted them. To make it easier to judge the power of a hunter, the government appointed ranks from E to A. What they learned was that each hunter had an ‘innate talent’ that determined the potential they had as they levelled up. This talent was based on a number of reasons, from the amount of the mana that was in the hunter's body to the base stats the hunter had when they awakened.

Of course, if a hunter levelled up to a high level, they would gain the strength to clear higher ranked dungeons. Still, since hunters that awakened differed in their base strength, the ranks made it clear which hunters were bound to be the strongest as they levelled up, this was evidenced by the amount of stat points they would gain at each level.
The general logic was this, two hunters that were equal in level but had different ratings would have vastly different stats. Hence, there was a disparity among hunters.
“Next!” a women shouted
Gray walked into the room, this room was large, it had a sphere in the middle with several computers close to it.
“Please place your hand on the sphere” the woman told Gray as she looked at her computer.
The sphere was white in color, Gray walked up to it and placed his hand.
The women looked towards the sphere, then looked back at the computer and the sphere again. She did this several times.
The woman turned back to see her colleague who was working on something else. She then asked him the question that was on her mind.
“Hey, what was the meaning of dark purple?” she asked innocently
“Oh thats….. Wait what did you say” the man immediately stopped what he was doing and walked towards the sphere. He walked until the sphere came into his view, he stood still.
The sphere had a dark purple shade to it, it had changed colors. His eyes went wide, his mouth wide open. The women stood there with a confused look.
“Oh my god! That color! It means that man……. he is the United States fifth A rank hunter!” the man exclaimed

This story is written in third person limited POV. That means you can expect to know many of the thoughts and inner dialog of one character, and only see the actions of other characters. This POV does include scenes without the main character, and thus the reader can and will know things the main character does not. Further, this means characters act on what they know, which is almost always less than the reader knows. Something else to know. These books do not hold your hand. If you're reading it and thinking "Gosh, why aren't 'they' doing some 'obvious' thing." Bad news. You probably missed something that explains exactly that. If you're seeking a light read that doesn't ask much of you as the reader, you're invited and very welcome to come on in, but this might not be the story for you.
