Lily jumped into the security van and looked at the papers in her hand. Pickup of valuables in Mount Pearl to be returned to secure storage. Blah, blah, blah. Same garbage, she hated being a rent a cop. She had graduated with a criminology degree, entered the RNC and was the youngest to make detective after 5 years. And now she was waiting for her fat, stinky colleague, you could not call them partners, to jump in. In a way she was lucky to have this job, an old friend owned the company. She sighed. Maybe she should have slept with her superior. After she humiliated him and brought the harassment to the attention of the department, her life became a living hell. Every shit job possible, and then the trumped up charges that forced her to resign or be arrested.

Her partner Fat Benny, was what she called him, opened the door and huffed his way into the van. The stench was overpowering; why could he not wash his fat ass. And his breath was worse. He clambered in and ogled her body, add pervert to the list.

“Eyes forward Fat Benny.” She growled. “Remember the last time you looked at me like that?”

Benny quickly stopped looking at her. The last time she had kicked him in the nuts, and that was something he did not want to happen again.

“Sorry Lily.” He said blushing. “Please stop calling me Fat Benny.”

“I will when you stop looking at my tits.” She retorted. “Next stop Mount Pearl.”

She put the van in drive and screeched out of the parking lot. It caused Benny to scream and bang against the door. She grinned, she loved doing that. She powered through the streets weaving through traffic.

“Please slow down.” Whined Benny.

“Shut up fatty and enjoy the ride.” Growled Lily.

30 minutes later they pulled into the parking lot. Lily glanced at the number on the building and compared it to the papers.

“This is the place.” She said. “Lets go fatty.” She grabbed the clipboard, switched off the engine, opened the door and jumped out. She slammed it shut and clicked on the lock button before putting the keys in her pocket.

“Hey, I am still in here.” Cried Benny.

With a sigh she pulled out he keys and unlocked the doors. When she heard the door close she hit the lock button again and put the keys in her pocket. She moved the gun in the holster, to make sure it would come out smoothly if needed, and walked up the steps, opened the door and walked into the building.

It looked like a wide corridor with office on both sides. There was a stairway at the end with a sign below it. There was one door open so she sauntered over there and looked inside. A young man was staring out the window. She gave his ass a good look and smiled. He had a nice ass, I wonder what the rest of him looks like, she thought.

“Hey sport.” She said. “I am looking for a lawyer’s office; do you know where it is?”

He jumped a little when she said this and turned and walked toward him with a big smile on his face. Lily’s jaw dropped when she saw him, he was the best looking guy she had ever seen, better even then the skin mags she looked at when she was alone.

“Hi.” He said walking over. “The end of the hall and up the stairs you cannot miss it. I guess you are here to take my package into storage?”

“Did the uniform give us away?” She snorted. “Yeah lead the way.”

Jake brushed past her and headed towards the stairs. When he passed she got a good whiff of him, he smelled incredible. But after Benny anything would smell good, she thought. She followed behind him as he went up the stairs. She admired his ass, I would love to grab that, she thought. Benny walked behind her and did the same to her ass. He would love to grab hers as well.

Jake got to the top of the stairs and opened the door to Claudia’s office and walked inside and stopped next to Claudia’s desk. He smiled down at Claudia.

“Hi Claudia.” He said. “The security people are here.”

Claudia picked up her phone and buzzed Susan. A few seconds later Susan’s office door opened and she walked out.

“Hi my name is Susan, who is in charge?” She asked. Benny started to step forward, he was almost drooling at the sight of Susan and Claudia. Lily turned and gave him a glare and he stopped.

“Hi my name is Lily Pretty.” She said looking at the papers. “I am here from Premier Security to pick up a package from a Ms. Susan O’Rourke.”

“That is me.” Said Susan smiling. “Please come into my office and we can finalize things.”

She turned to walk into the office followed by the rest. She stopped by her desk and pointed to the lockbox.

“This is the box we need securely stored.” She said. “The contents are really valuable. Is it going to be kept secure?”

“Yes ma’am.” Replied Lily. “We have a state of the art facility, with secure vaults and around the clock protection. I just need you to fill out this paperwork and we can take possession of the lockbox. We will transport it to our facility and then transfer it to the secure vault.”

Jake was impressed with Lily and also she was very good looking.

“Have you always been a security guard Lily?” He asked smiling at her. “You seem much more professional then the ones I have encountered in the past.”

“I have been with the company for only a year.” She replied blushing at the attention of the handsome man.

“She was with the RNC before but quit.” Said Benny cutting in.

Lily turned and glared at Benny who shrank back. She would deal with him later.

“Oh that is too bad.” Said Jake. “What did you do with the RNC?”

“I have a degree in criminology from MUN.” she replied sighing. “I was with the RNC for 5 years, and attained the rank of detective before I resigned for personal reasons.”

“I think we may need a security officer in the future Hal.” Thought Jake. “Especially when we start our new business. Do a check on her quickly?”

A few seconds later Hal replied.

“She resigned under dubious circumstances.” Hal said. “I dug deeper and found that she was framed however. It was in some emails sent between her superiors. No one can hide anything from me. She would not be dishonest according to her records.”

“Lily, my name is Jake, I am starting a new company in the near future.” Said Jake. “I may need a head of security; would you be interested in applying?”

Lily looked at Jake in surprise. He was good looking but did not look like a guy starting a company. His clothes were clean but cheap. Her senses told her however that she could trust him. Working with him would be a lot better the Fat Benny. She was working but it was something that would drive her to drink in the long term. The question is why would the guy be interested in her?

“I am interested Jake.” She said. “But why me? You know nothing about me. I may be a criminal.”

“You can inform her about this at an interview later Jake.” Said Hal. “We can even show her some emails. Her records show that she is above normal intelligence and extremely loyal. I think she would work well for us.”

Jake laughed and said. “I am a good judge of character and we can discuss that at an interview later, that is if you are interested? If so you can drop a resume off with Claudia here.”

Lily thought about it. There would be no reason not to do an interview, it could be interesting. Anything was better the private security.

“Ok Jake.” She said. “I will drop off a resume later. Now how about getting these forms filled out?”

Susan smiled and took the forms and sat at her desk. She quickly filled them out and handed them to Claudia.

“Claudia, can you take copies for our records please?” said Susan. “I like to keep a copy of all documents Lily. Please sit while we wait.”

Claudia took the forms and exited the office. Jake and Lily sat down. Benny looked around for another chair but there was none present. He sighed and continued standing.

Lily looked back and forth between Susan and Jake. She wondered what the connection was. He seemed pretty relaxed here. Was he in charge? It was a dynamic that brought out the detective in her. She decided to ask some questions.

“So Jake, what kind of company are you looking to start?” she asked.

“Well Lily, I have always been fascinated by electronics. I have some ideas for some cutting edge tech.” He said smiling at her. “So I decided to get a small company started and try and put my ideas into reality. Susan is helping me get setup. She has rented me some offices downstairs during my startup.” He smiled at Susan as he said this. Susan responded with a deep blush.

Ok he seems to have some money. Susan seems smitten by him as well, she thought. He looks like he has her well charmed. I know I am attracted to him as well. That is unusual for me.

Claudia walked back into the room and handed the original papers to Lily and the copies to Susan.

“Thank you Claudia.” Said Susan. “Well if everything is in order, you can take possession of the package. Is there anywhere on your site where we can view the package in private while still staying in a secure area lily?”

Lily took a quick glance over the papers. Everything seemed to be in order.

“Yes we have room near our secure vault that can be used.” She answered. “Everything looks good. Benny pick up the box and follow me. Thank you.”

Lily turned to Jake and reached into her pocket. She pulled out an old business card. She pulled out her pen and wrote on the back. She handed this to Jake. Accidently she brushed his finger. A shock went through them both.

“Why do you keep doing this Jake?” Asked Hal.

“I did not do it on purpose Hal.” He replied. “She touched me.”

Susan shook her head. She felt very lightheaded, the air felt so warm, she had to get out of there. She turned and headed to the door opened it and ran down the stairs. Benny picked up the box and lumbered after her huffing and puffing.

Jake shrugged his shoulders and turned to Susan and smiled broadly at her. Since the kiss she looked even more beautiful, and he was really attracted to her.

“It is the mating drive kicking in Jake.” Said Hal. “The more contact the higher the urge to mate and conceive. That is according to the ancient records. My analysis is that you have taken on the mating habits of my creators. The touch marks a female as yours. They will be more attracted to you until you mate. After this they will become your wives, in your terms. Fiercely loyal to you, and you to them. Your job is protector and theirs will be to run the businesses of the family group. This is going to be an interesting dynamic. I will keep notes on this.”

Jake sat down in a chair and sighed.

“I am not a lab rat Hal.” Thought Jake. “So does this mean all the girls I touched will be like Susan; Laurie, Cindy, Mandy Susan, Linda, Ingrid and Lily? The only one I have not touched is Claudia.”

“Yes but we still have not figured out how the pheromones affect them as well.” Replied Hal. “They could also be affecting her. We will have to see what the repeated contact will do with you and the others.”

Susan looked at Jake and bit her lip. She wanted to go over and straddle him and have another incredible kiss. She felt so excited. She had never felt like this before. Be professional Susan, she thought. Maybe supper would be a bad idea, if she had a few drinks she might loosen up too much. Jake was here for the long term and she did not want it to be a fling, like in Toronto with the asshole. She sat behind her desk and coughed.

Jake looked up at Susan and marveled at her with the sun shining on her from behind. She looked incredibly beautiful. All these incredible women, this may not be bad after all, he thought.

“So that is done.” Said Jake. “I guess dinner is up next? My treat.”

Susan shook her head and said. “No you have to leave town, and I would rather you not drive in the dark, the roads are too dangerous. I will go with Claudia to get my truck and bring it back here. When you get back we can meet and then we can have something. If that is ok with you?”

Jake thought about for a minute. It was a good idea and the roads were not safe at night. A little time apart would be a good idea.

“Sounds good. If Claudia could get some furniture in the offices, it would be great.” He answered. “If she bought some basic office machines as well. I can get involved in the server side later. I have a friend who specializes in it. How does that sound Susan? That is if I can still charge it to your accounts?”

Susan liked the idea. It meant he would be involved with her more. She could see he was interested in her and she hoped it could become a long term thing. She was amazed by this, they had just met, but she saw herself being with him forever. He was not a user like the asshole in Toronto, she could tell intuitively.

“I have no problem Jake.” She said smiling. “When you get back we will get the two offices set up with a minimum amount of furniture. You can add to it yourself over time. Let’s go talk to Claudia.”

She walked into the next room and Jake followed.
