《Peacekeepers (COMPLETE)》65

About fifteen minutes later, there it is. A shot to prevent doomsday, protect others, the reason that being became a peacekeeper in the first place, the reason I was in Iron Maiden. And Alice, I wish I could tell you to run and live your life. A bullet cracks the glass. "Alice! Get ready to roll out of here!"
Monsters fire guns at the turbines as we make our descent. "I'm ready! You?" I grin, "I think I'll give it some `flair." The front turbines give, we scrape on the ground as I bend my legs. I break the cockpit's glass as a hulking mass comes to catch our ride. I leap out the cockpit and cleave down on his head before the UM-70 bashes into him.
I leap off him and scrape myself on all threes to a stop. The UM-70 explodes as Alice runs up. "Huh. You weren't kidding about that flair." Inside the broken blast doors, there's more of them scattered about. We both look at each other and smirk. Gladius better be fucking right.
I zoom up and kick one. I grab a hanging minigun and mow the ones around me down, then help Alice with her share. She catches up and grabs the other. "I'll get the ones ahead!" "I'll join you in a minute." I finish up, then turn around as the speakers come on a loop, *Alert, reactor critical condition! Evacuate now.* The miniguns get pulled up into the ceiling, then Switch jolts,
This is it, Last chance. Alice shouts, "Uhhh, a big guy's coming!" I charge towards him and dodge his punch. I jump and puncture his head open with my heel, it spurts black blood all over until he collapses.
A shotgun lies on the ground. Alice yells over the speakers, "You sure?!" I grab it and grab at my head, then shake off the pain. "Yeah!" I only hope I can live long enough to see doomsday averted. Kaylin is the key! I charge at Alice's pace and we find the reactor room. Kaylin's inside it, he crosses his arms as junk orbits the small, intense sun.

Alice hands me some goggles. We put them on, then march in.
He chuckles, "You can't stop it now! It's over, Earth is done for!" I point, "Alice, get to that switch." She looks over, "Yeah!"
"Every reactor, every warhead is going off right now, the radiation will kill everyone!" I charge in and punch him square in the face. "I thought you wanted more for the world!" He slices down with a grin, I dodge.
"Humanity's not worth it! The good people never win, it's rigged!" He kicks the wind out of me. I try to stand up, but he stomps on my back. "And don't start with the good always will prevail! You can't stop all of them."
*Emergency shut off impossible. God save you all.* I laugh and slowly get up. He tries stomping again, but it doesn't do shit. This purple sure is something. His eyes widen and he stabs forward. I Spin and break the giant bony blade. I pick it up and slice his head off. No, no, that was too easy.

Becoming The Wolfman
Hello everyone. I’m an avid reader but I’ve never tried writing my own novel to be published. So I’m going for it on Royal Road and let's see what happens. Prologue My story begins while working as a Security Officer. I’m Bill501 aka the Wolfman as I have about 15 different Wolf tattoos. Not that you would know it since I have to cover them all for work. I’m sitting at my desk waiting for lunchtime and greeting all the employees in the building as they walk by. All the sudden I have a splitting headache and I’m trying not to show it because I don’t have sick time and I don’t want to go home sick and lose money. Suddenly a screen comes up but it just looks like floating text. It says Welcome to the System. Hell I read at least 5 novels a week that start that way so I’m like hell yeah so worth the headache. I’m over here saying status and character screen and anything else I can think of to bring up my stats and it doesn’t do shit…. 15 minutes later I get a message that says loading…..
