Hunter:
*Zip*
“152” Hunter breathed as his zweihander swung over the man's throat “will you be 153? Or will you be obedient and join my legion?”
“I will never succumb to you… evil-” The soldier didn’t get a chance to finish, his head landed into the arms of his still alive comrade
“Now then,” Hunter looked into the battalion of terrified soldiers stuck in their place by thousands of black chains. He raised his sword with one hand in a nonchalant way pointing at the nearest soldier “154 anyone?”
The soldiers tried to back away from Hunter but with no avail. Hunter walked towards the battalion with his zweihander and swung it lightly, another head fell “154, now who will be next?”
A man walked forward holding a flag walked forward holding out his shaking hand “My name is Grund, Commander of this battalion, I wish to negotiate”
Hunter was briefly stunned and started laughing “In what world do you think I will comply with any of your demands?”
“Because we will take you to our general” Grund groaned as Hunter grabbed his throat
Hunter was shaking again, he grabbed his arm, he wasn’t the one who was controlling his arm. His hand was not in his control, it was as if some outer being had been telling him that this was the way to his answer. “What’s their name?”
“Youko, His first majesty’s second son” Grund said lazily
Hunter raised his eyebrows, this wasn’t the attitude of a normal soldier, his eyes lingered on the tattoo that looked burned on the skin of the Grund.
“Axial rebellion mark, got it when i joined the revolution” Grund grinned as he watched Hunter’s expression change from annoyance to shock.
“Rebellion?” Hunter was curious, more than he ever had been, everyone he had seen or met had been patriotic to the kingdom his father created. “As in against the kings?”

“Yes, exactly like that,” Grund picked up his sword from the ground and slit the neck of a soldier closest to him. “We could use someone like you on our side”
Hunter felt a tug at his gut, he grabbed Grund by the throat and pinned him to a wall,”I can understand you need my help to get rid of this corrupted empire”
Grund groaned as Hunter fingers tightened around his throat, “Your choking me”
“Am I?” Hunter sneered as he flicked his wrist, as chains sprouted around from Grunds shoulder, he howled in pain, and Hunter was disgusted, some blood had landed on his shoulder and it made him feel sick. Filthy, was the word that came to Hunter’s mind he felt sullied by a lower life form. His voice came out before he could puke, words forced out of his system “There's something you should understand, LEARN. YOUR. PLACE. Use a person like me? What authority do you have?”
“You need allies,” Grund said, pulling Hunter's hand to try to escape from his grasp. “And that is something we can provide you”
“I don’t NEED anything” Hunter hissed, his hand tightened around his zweihander “Understand this filthy ingrant, you are under my rule”
The chains that had sprouted from Grund’s shoulder’s and wrapped around his neck. The chain dug into Grund’s neck and transformed into a black chain tattoo. “What the hell is this?”
“A token of sacrifice to mylady A’distat” Hunter released the grip he had on Grund, “A curse of desolation. A token that will remind you how empty this world is”
Grund’s pupils started to dilate as he mouth curved into a mad smile. His face started to get paler by the second as he groaned scratching at his neck, desperately trying to remove the engraved tattoo’s that continued growing on his body. Hunter watched as the Grund’s tear dropped one by one onto the ground as his face was etched into a gruesome grin, unable to change his facial feature. Hunter smiled the growling feeling that came from his gut had completely disappeared, and it made him that much more satisfied with his decision of experiment. His fears came true, the voice’s in his head made everything seem so much more pleasurable. The voice made everything seem so happy compared to the desolate and depressed state of the kingdom.

“Looks like you're having fun,” The shadow emerged from the shadow of the struggling Grund. “I found him, Frevor”
“Your back?” Hunter grabbed Grund by the throat and raised him again, watching as Grund struggle had stopped and hung limp with a frenzied look on his face, still alive it was as if Grund was awaiting Hunter's orders. “With good new I suppose”
“Some of the best” Bassa giggled terrified the soldiers as they tried to edge their way away from the two of them, though most couldn’t see Bassa; they watched Hunter with terror in their eyes. “The next village over, contains Frevor’s army and your second brothers messengers are both there, they are awaiting your sixth brothers orders to continue their monthly patrol around the kingdoms border.”
“Good, Frevor keeps in close contact with Moreal and Toumare which means if we kill Frevor the other two will start to know my presence within the kingdom” Hunter chains started to crawl up each of the soldiers and crawl into the necks and forming the same chain-like choker that forced itself onto the soldiers, they begun to change slowly as the into the zombie-like creature that Grund was.Hunter started to laugh, the idea itself was hilarious to him “An army? What army can stop the likes of my madness?”

We also have a Discord for anybody who wants to talk all things Rise of the Paragon!! Genesis Discord Also, consider joining my Patreon! Fair Warning: Blue Screens, and somewhat overpowered protagonists! The main character's point of view is described in first person. Every other character is in third person. Having subdued its surrounding enemies, the former Sulic Empire is faced with unrest brewing from within. Society is torn in two. The reigning mentalists constantly persecute the subjugated elementals under the pretence of curbing the explosive potential of their destructive powers.
