《This world is strange》Chapter 65. The ruin

Leo was taken back, but everyone else already entered the room. It was a small place, a little bit wider then the coffin on the other side from the entrance, but they all walked in without problem. On the walls there were stone shelves packed with urns. The whole place was clean even though there were no people in this place for a while.
They walked to the coffin. It was a grey marble piece, with roses carved in it. On top of it there were writings. Joseph read them up loudly.
"Here lies Örsül Kunat, peacbringer and lord of our lands. Rest in peace."
They looked at eachother, then he shrugged.
"This name is strange, but it doesn't seem like there are any treasures here. Except if there are any in the coffin."
Leo walked closer and tried to push the lid of the coffin of, but it was to heavy. Everyone tried to help him, but they couldn't move it. Catherine waved at everyone to back off.
She grabbed the lit and tried to move it with the help of magic, but it seemed like that did not work as well.
"This thing just takes away the mana I put in moving it. I don't know who made this, but they must have been a master of enchantments."
Leo sighed.
"So you say, we can't do anything with it?"
"I mean we can't open it this way, but there might be something else we overlooked here."
They started to look around in the room, opened up urns and checked stones and other stuffs, but only found ashes in the urns and nothing else.
Maria shrugged.
"This can happen as well. Just a rest place for dead people without anything exciting."
She looked at the coffin.

"Except for that. But we can't really do anything with it at the moment."
They went out of the room and took a rest.
After a while they called the guards in to help them get the lid of from the coffin. They barely pushed it off even though there were six of them doing it. They sit down on the floor to catch breath after they pushed the lit halfway. Maria couldn't keep her calm after all the problems.
"What is this bloody lit made from? It is as heavy as a tree trunk!"
They all smiled at her. It was true that it was heavy, but Catherine said it, that it was because of a gravitation spell, that keeps it in place.
After a few minutes they looked into the coffin. A skeleton was inside on it's back and it's hands were on it's sides. There were nothing else inside.
They all sighed, but Joseph reached in and pulled his hand around the whole coffin. Under the skull he found a part of the coffin loose. He moved the skull, but did not see any difference in the base. He pushed the part in and the bottom of the coffin started to decend.
Everyone got silent for a moment. Then they cheered on the moment, until they saw what happened with the whole thing.
The bottom part with the skeleton on the top slid down on a staircase into darkness and disappeared from their eyes. Maria laughed nervously.
"Seems like there is more to this place, then we thought..."
Joseph shrugged.
"You said it will most likely have more layers. Seems like we have found the bottom part of this place, or I would love to think this leads to the bottom."
Catherine jumped in.

"We won't know until we see it."
She started to walk down.
"Come on people! We can't just loiter around all day!"
She made a little light ball with a spell and started to walk down. Joseph jumped after her and turned back.
"Anyone else coming?"
Maria looked at him nervously.
"I... I don't think it's a good idea?"
Joseph laughed.
"If you don't come you won't have any part from the treasure we find!"
He started to walk down laughing.
"Hey!"
She forgot about the fact that she wasn't doing this for treasure this time and followed them down there.
Leo sighed.
"Folly of Youth..."

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

In order to create the Ultimate MC, I became Soldier A!?
Hello, my name is Yukimura Shin. I used to be a mangaka for Shounen Jump, but I was fired all of a sudden one day. Why? According to the editor, it was because my MCs are always too “2-D.” What am I supposed to do then??? Unemployed and desperate, I was offered one last chance. A chance to observe and create the ultimate MC. “In order to create the Ultimate MC, I became Soldier A!?” *Note: This fiction is episodic and a light-read. Pure non-sense. Please do not proceed if you are one that puts an emphasis on plot, as this will be similar to Gintama (completely crazy, I would say).
