A silence fell between them. A thick and wide silence like the mud of thick soil.

"I am going to make a deal with a devil, and to fulfil that deal I need my tribe. Who can I trust and who will hunt humans here and across the border with me?", Winston said Breaking that thick silence.

"Whatever you are saying is too ambitious. Yes, I want to be human, who doesn't? And I am also ready to take every chance for it. But this is a one-way street, once we start, there is no coming back", hyena said.

" That's the fun of life in hell, my friend, that there is no turning back. This risk makes living in hell worth it". Winston said with a wide smile on his face.

"I hope you realise that you are talking about waging a war against humans", hyena said trying to confirm.

"And hunting them inside their cities just like they hunt the animals inside a forest", Winston confirmed.

A big and wide smile spread on both of their faces with the hope of a new dawn.

Winston and hyena were walking on the footpath in the forest. Voices of animals and scattering of leaves.

"Do you have any name or something?", Winston said while looking at the hyena.

Hyena stared at him with no words.

"Of course, you have a name", Winston said, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Hyena didn't say anything and kept walking.

"It's cupid,'' the hyena said.

For a few moments, the silence of the jungle felt even more intense. But Winston couldn't handle it for long and started laughing.

"What?" cupid said with an irritating voice.

"Cupid? really? Who gave you that name?", Winston said while trying to suppress his laughter.

"Dilda, my lover", he said while looking and blushing a little.

Winston start laughing even more loudly and said with a surprising voice,

"You have a what?"

Cupid looked with anger towards Winston and Winston suppressed his laugh, but his face and eyes spread wide with his impossible attempt to stop his laughter.

They reached far deep into the forest. The trees seem different here, it was wider and taller. It seems like moonlight doesn't reach the ground through their branches and leaves.

"How much further?" Winston said impatiently.

"We are almost there", cupid said with a little smile on his face. The kind of smile people has when they reach their home after a long time.

Few hyenas were walking, and they saw Cupid and Winston walking together towards their dwelling. They were surprised and started following them. To date, no human has been able to locate their site. They hide it on purpose from humans because once they find it, they know they are going to destroy it. More and more hyenas started to appear and they looked surprised and started walking with both of them with questions in their mind.

There were shacks carved into trees, inside them hyenas looking out with their brown surprised eyes. Finally, they reached the place where the old hyena, whose skin looks a bit wrinkly, was sitting on his back legs and he was looking straight towards Winston and cupid.

Both of them stand in front of him. The other hyenas gathered around them curious to see what is going to happen now. While the old hyena keeps staring at Winston, it seems like he is trying to calculate something. Everyone was waiting for him to speak.

But he keeps starting without saying anything. After a long and suspenseful silence, he finally speaks,

"You are the only human to make it here. Cupid brought you here, and I know that he cares about our tribe a lot. So I believe he has the reasons to bring this man here".

" Yes master, I have a reason. This man's name is Winston. He is my friend", he looked at Winston with trust in his eyes. Winston felt overwhelmed for a moment.

"He has a hope for us, and I can see that hope. I want everyone to see and have your trust in him the way I did", cupid continued.

" What are you talking about cupid?" Master said while trying to understand where cupid was going with all of this.

"Humanity", Winston intervened.

Everyone felt silent for a moment, and the master looked at cupid and said,

"What is he talking about?"

"He is talking about making us humans", cupid said with a strong and firm voice.

Master stays silent for a moment and laughed and said,

"I thought you were smart, but look what ambitions and dreams did to you".

Cupid's face turn red with anger, he moves forward from his place, coming closer to the master and said,

"And you are old and coward, who has been cripple with his mind without hope and dreams"

"How dare you?" Master howled with anger.

Everyone around was staring at them with surprise. Even Winston was also a little shocked by cupid's reaction. Cupid turned towards people and start talking,

"Yes. I know that what he is offering is almost impossible. But what the fuck have you achieved so far from hiding in the shithole for your entire existence in here? Let me tell you what it is. It's nothing. It's fucking nothing", he shouted so loudly that his voice echoes around the trees.

" you have crossed your limit cupid", the master said from behind interrupting him. Cupid turned towards him and got even closer to him, so close that they could feel each other's breathing.

"We can't live anymore hiding like rats, we want what we deserve and we deserve salvation," Cupid said his eyes were boiling like a volcano and seeing that in his eye master fell silent.

"You are too old to understand this", cupid said and moved back his face towards the crowd.

"I am asking you. Everyone in here, I want everyone to make a choice today. The choice to live with their situations forever or to fight. Fight for salvation". He finished and felt silent.

The crowd was also silent, no one was speaking. Everyone was looking at each other's faces. Master was happy with the silence. And he was about to speak but someone shouted from the crowd,

" I want to fight, I am done hiding". Then second voice and third, fourth, fifth and the whole crowd join the voice,

"Yes. We want salvation".

With all voices, the trees in the jungle started to flutter, like the houses in the earthquake.

Inside the jungle, four men were walking with bows and arrows in their hands, looking for prey. They are wearing ragged cloth and faces like juiceless mangoes. They were following some animals that they saw around some trees.

They reached a place where they lost that animal. They start looking for him here and there,

"Does he vanish into paddy's fat ass?", a muscular man said, looking at the fat man. And everyone's started laughing.

"Maybe he does! But for that, you need to take a look at it by yourself", the fat man replied with a sarcastic tone. And again everyone started to laugh, except the muscular man.

Suddenly, they heard something and a muscular man shoosh everyone. They saw glistening eyes through leaves.

" I think I found him", he said.

"That's nice. You got saved from peeking into paddy's ass", one said in a sarcastic whisper.

Muscular man points his arrow in the direction of an eye. His friend put a hand on his shoulder, but he tries to shake his hand away and tries to aim. But he saw more eyes. And more. His friend pinches him to take the look around.

As he turned to look at what his friend was trying to show him, he saw two hyenas, a wolf, three bears, a tiger, all kinds of animals together, more than a couple of dozen, they came from all the sides and created a circle around them. They were staring at them like a hunter looking at his prey.
