I took off with my sister. We flew into the night. We could see the stars above us and the lights below. It was a wonderful sight. I took turns rotating my body to see both views, but it didn’t last long. We arrive at the archives in 30 mins. We land a mile away from the facility. Erica shoots out an ice crystal above the building. Once it was over the building, it exploded causing the building to drop in temperature. With the falling temperature, I can get the heat rating of all the people inside. There were 10 guards inside of the building. They didn’t put up their guard even though the temperature dropped outside. They were taking their duty seriously. I could also detect that there was a 5 floor sub level. I twist my body making a small tornado and flying into the ground, making a hole big enough for Erica to follow behind me. I tunnel beneath some building to arrive at the archives. I broke inside of the facility. There were no guards protecting this place. There were hundreds of hard drives on the floor. They were peeping with green lights. The fans didn’t make a lot of noise. This is the room where they keep all the data. Erica arrives behind a few moments later. I give her a nod. She picks up her scythe and hits the floor with it. Ice spreads from the end of her scythe. I put ice blades underneath my feet, waiting for the ice to spread across the floor. I stake across the room to the stairwell. I jump to the side of the wall and push off going up. I had to use the wind to push me up against the wall, so I wouldn’t fall to the ground. I hate trying to fly in a building. Staking around is easier. Also, I have a lot of practice at it, escaping from an evil witch. I skate up from the lower levels to the street side levels. Ok, now it is the hard part. I need to knock down the guards long enough for Erica to freeze them into place. If I don’t hit them hard enough, they won’t freeze. This is a stealth mission cannot let anyone know we were the ones to take the data. Also, the odds are that we will be a capture if the alarm is sound. We aren’t powerful enough fight over one guard. I summon flames on my arms and head to counteract the ice. I didn’t want the temperature to fall under room temperature at higher levels. I need to be unaware of our presence. I see the first guard. I have some luck he wasn’t facing me. Using the wind, I canceled out the surrounding noise. I summon a bolt of lightning and throw it at the back of the guard head. It stuns him. I take a giant leap and punch him in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground. Once his face hits the ground, he started to freeze. I land on my feet and keep going. That was one person down and nine more to go. I shot up to the next floor. The next guy was right next to the staircase. I jump off the wall. While in the air I use the wind behind me to speed up. I cover my arms in rocks. With the force of a speeding car. I hit the guy in the back. Crack! I heard the bones in his body break. He falls to the ground freezing over. I stake pass his body with no trouble. It doesn’t take long for me to reach the top floor. The other guard fell to my attacks with no trouble. The last guard wasn’t like the rest. She stood in the middle of the room with ice blades on her hands. She looks at me with a smile and says, "I have been inching for a fight kid. The elders refuse to promote me. Now, it is the time to show them my worth." I wasn’t listening to her talk. I needed to get my body ready for the fight. I was breathing slowly. I got rid of the surrounding fire, no need to hide the temperature anymore. She is my last opponent, and she is waiting for me. I wait for the entire building to finish freezing. Erica noticed that I have stop moving. She also felt the air around me get colder. She finishes freezing the entire building. This guard monologuing was a great way for us to finish our preparations. I summoned a fire sword. Given Erica the signal to attack. An ice spear pierce through the guard foot freezing it on the spot. The guard cried out in pain. I stake forward and bring down my sword on her head. She blocks it with her hand and the sword froze over. I tried kicking her in the face but she catches my foot and throws me away. She breaks out of the ice and charges at me. I land on the wall and stake away. I threw down a fire ball between guard and I. An ice wall springs out where the fire landed. Causing the guard to slow down. This gives me enough time to summon a lighting spear and another flaming sword. The women broke through the ice wall. She screams, “I’m the Ice Queen!” She slams her foot into the ground. As I was staking along the wall, the ice along the wall froze my feet, causing me to fall to the ground. She laughs, “You are strong in a few years you might make something of yourself criminal but the odds are you are staying in jail and they will promote me.” I got up and say, “Two things, one you talk too much and the second, the Ice Queen is 45 meters below you.” I stood up and the ice at my feet melts. The women look at me with a surprise face. The next instant, the ice around her feet crept up her body. She looked horrified at that moment. She tried to break the ice by punching it, but it was no use. I gave Erica enough prep time to focus her energy and capture this woman. I threw the lighting spear at the women. She covered her arms in rocks to protect herself. But the rocks were flimsy. The rocks broke apart, and it stuns her. I followed the spear and once it broke through her guard, I slammed my sword on her face. She blackout, allowing Erica to freeze the rest of the body. I went to one computer on the top floor and unfroze it. I used an usb card to steal the data I needed. Erica stakes her way to the top floor. Once she arrived, the usb finished collecting the data. I punch a hole in the wall and we both flew into the night.

PINAN: Refuge
All Haeok wants is for his sisters to be safe. This fiction starts in 1942 Korea, during the final years of both the Japanese Empire and of WWII. Cornucopia of Hope
The graduating class of Hope's Peak Academy has been kidnapped sometime after their graduation ceremony. They wake up in a beautiful, plush mansion with no idea where they could be other than the name Our Mansion of Plenty. The physical barriers of steel plates and locked doors might not be enough to cage them, if it weren't for the malicious mechanical fairy calling itself The Fey and ruling their new lives with an iron--albeit tiny--fist. While being kidnapped is bad enough, the fact that this fairy brat is telling them to kill each other is definitely worse. Apparently, murdering one of your fellow victims is the only way to get out of this luxurious mansion. But nobody would do that...right? Cornucopia of Hope is a non-canon killing game completely alienated from the the canon universe of the Danganronpa games. The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
