《Shadow’s World》secret identities are dumb.

In most DC and Marvel comic, most characters run around with secret identities. What if I told you that having a secret identity with super powers is pointless and in the long run. There is only one reason that I might see a person having a secret identity, and that is to have a normal life. But even that makes little sense. Having a normal live just means you are wasting your time doing random crap instead of saving lives. Hey, look Clark Kent is over there while a robbery is happening. Oh, now I can hear people talking about the love ones in danger excuse, I will get to that soon. That is the big reason superheroes shouldn’t have a secret identity. People are brainwash thinking a superhero should hide their identity because of story telling reasons, but once you think about it. The nonsense of secret identities flies out of the window faster than superman changing his outfit. The only logic reason to have a secret identity is because you want a normal life. This seems more of a selfish request than a logic one. Unless the crime rate is zero and there isn’t any major threats the time you are spending being normal is someone else dying. That being said, it is ok to let people die when being a hero. You have no obligations to save everyone. For most superheroes, they are only human and the rest are monsters and aliens. Yet, heroes felt responsible for saving how many people they can. Then they shouldn’t have secret identities for this reason, look at spiderman. Spiderman, Peter Parker is a super who feels the need to save as many people as possible but don’t do it as effectively as he can. Yes, Spiderman beats up. Bad guys, but he has a tool that could 100% make the world a safer place. His web shooters are the answer to self defense. Now, this isn’t my owned idea, and I didn’t think of this first watch cracked after hours about spiderman. A web shooter is as an effect or more affected than a gun. Since shooting webs will not cause you to worry about the person dying. Also, it shots as fast as a gun without the sound. How many lives would be saved by giving it to the cops and other people’s hands. Heck, there wouldn’t be any reason for a citizen to have guns. Also, Peter is mad smart and if he got some resources he can do wonders with them. In the old 90s spiderman TV series, we see that there is another spiderman who came out to the world as Spiderman. He was rich and famous. Not only was he rich and famous he built a giant spider robot that was voice command. Who knows what else spiderman can build on a budget that is bigger than a photographer salary. Think of all the things spiderman built and now give him money and people. He might rival Tony Stark in intelligence but doesn’t have the same backing. He is a kid in the basement building crap vs Stark who has a multi billion company, because of his father. Not saying Stark isn’t smart but I bet spiderman is on the same level. Ok, we have gotten that out of the way. Let’s do the meme about protecting love ones. Um, who in the mind would hurt Superman’s love ones in any way? Let’s ignore all the crazies like the Joker. Or someone that is as powerful as Superman. Why would someone in their right mind go after a powerful superhero family? Think of what superman can do to an avg person. He lets ignore avg people. superman can easily kill most of the justice league with no effort. I think the only real hero that can compete with Superman is the flash. Superman, if he wanted, could easily kill Batman. What is Batman going to do? All superman have to do is throw a rock at batman‘s head from a mile away and watch it explode on impact. Superman fighting Batman in close combat is only a pride thing that superman does because he and Batman were once friends. Now, getting the human justice league member out of the way what about the rest. Superman easily crush the green lantern with zero difficulty. WW is on the same level as Ares the god of war and superman can easily handle her. Aquaman would give Superman a tough time if he is near water but if he isn’t. Superman would crush the fish and eat him for dinner. The martian couldn’t take Superman’s heat ray. Now think about this, superman will crush the justice league to get to the person who kills either his mother or Louis. You can do it for the rest of the heros in both DC and Marvel. How power is some of them and if they get their hands on the one who murder someone close to them. Well, that would be the end of the person. Villains should actually be on the lookout for the superheroes family members and get the hell out of dodge if they ever meet one. If I was a robber and was robbing a bank. Saw that Marth Clent was in the building. I would lie down my gun and jump out of the nearest window screaming from the top of my lungs, “Superman, I saw your mother and ran away. I didn’t harm her.” If I found out, one of my partners in crime killed her or injured her. I would turn myself in and snitch on them. I would leave no stone unturn. By the time I finish my confession, the police would know what my associates had for dinner when they were 12. Secret identities are dumb and only would hurt the population once the heroes get piss when their loves one die. Heck DC did this twice. Once in the Justice League cartoon, the flash dies, and the league becomes tyrants. With superman killing Lex Luthor. Would you want a world in which a single death can bring about unstoppable tyrants and they were the nice ones. In the DC game Injustice, instead of the flash dying, Louis Lane did. That broke Superman, he kills the joker and goes on a rampage. So the lesson here is this. For the love of god if there is ever a time in which people get super powers please tell us who you are so we can stay away from your love ones.
