Chapter Five - Amenophis part 1
"You seriously think I give a damn about whatever' final blessing'?" Lucky Riot didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He had just been informed that the last blessing left him in a coma for an entire year. After waking up, he had to fight for his life to defend Maggie from kidnappers. They had barely escaped before that magnificent power suddenly awakened within Lucky. Now they expected him to go near this wall again?
Sacred?
More like cursed!
"Lucky, you don't get it. Theodore was an OG's nephew, this won't end so well," Capp tried to explain.
"Kasino, we have to do something! Once those guys found out what you did… we'll never live another day in peace in Nibiru City," Surprisingly the voice that started explaining the current situation was Margot Frenzy! This left Lucky stunned, wasn't Maggie unconscious even longer than himself? Did he get it wrong? However, when he glanced at Capital and Bravo, he saw both of their mouths agape. Apparently, they were even more stunned than Lucky.
"The Silver Mercury Gang is currently the undisputed ruler over the city. This princess never expected a street gang to reach such heights. Their reckless and lawless behavior has ruined the outer and inner sectors." Margot Frenzy's eyes shined with a brilliant light as she continued, "Only the central sector was left unharmed because of the high schools and the university. In this princess' opinion, Silver Mercury didn't dare to provoke them, in fear that they would have to risk everything to defend the coupe!"
"Mags... how could you know about all that? How do you know any of this?" Bravo Frenzy was dumbfounded. By the time he climbed up after crash landing from the wormhole, his little sister was staring speechlessly at the Sacred Blessing Wall. Bravo thought that she was confused like Lucky had been, considering that they were all still in the same place from a year ago and she was suddenly alone. He had yet to explain the situation to her clearly when Capp arrived, and then the three of them were busy worrying for Lucky after Capp explained the situation.
"Big brother, I'm okay. This princess' was in a strange state for the past year. It was... humbling, to say the least. I could not control my body, but this princess remained conscious after a day or so. I perceived everything around me on a profound level," Margot Frenzy's voice was light and airy as if she had experienced a great journey. Bravo's face was full of shock, confusion, and concern. Meanwhile, Capp wore an insightful look.
On the other hand, Lucky was not actively paying attention to their conversation at this moment. He had assumed that once he calmed down, his blood would likely relax, and he may even experience a period of weakness. This was the logical conclusion because just like the thugs he fought before, Lucky himself wondered whether or not he had accidentally consumed some drugs! This wasn't the case. Since arriving in this alley, his blood boiled even fiercer than before! It was getting worse by the second.
Lucky felt like he was on fire. His body felt like it was literally exploding with strength. However, what Lucky didn't notice was that the scarlet golden glow of the Sacred Blessing Wall was growing denser by the second.
The pain blinded all of Lucky's other senses.
He had no idea what to do, so he immediately sat down and cultivated his mystic origin ascetically. This startled the others once they noticed this change, but no one spoke out of fear of disturbing Lucky. After a few seconds, myriad mysterious lights emitting an ancient aura gathered and poured into Lucky's body like a whirlpool.

The skies above the abandoned alleyway darkened and storm clouds made of origin energy condensed in the atmosphere. Citizens all over the Nibiru City were frightened by this disturbance. In the dining hall of a large and beautiful white mansion in the central sector of the city, a handsome and robust middle-aged man with a scar on his cheek furrowed his brows as he looked in the direction of Lucky and the gang.
"What is this surging vitality? Could it be that there are unidentified mystic artists in Nibiru City? Is this somehow connected to Alfred? Mary's not going to like this…" the middle-aged man had a bit of trepidation in his voice as he mentioned the name, Mary. He immediately pulled out a communication device. It was shaped like a disc and opened up a light panel. The middle-aged man interfaced with the light panel, and it connected with someone in the outer sector of the city.
"I'm here, big homie," came a deep voice from the disc.
"Rook. Investigate this anomaly personally! I want to know what the hell is going on in the external sector."
Meanwhile, in the main hall of an office building of a city thousands of kilometers away, a young man with white hair wearing a white suit was in the middle of a business meeting with 11 other professionals. He was just about to speak when he suddenly sensed an uncomfortably familiar aura. A dark glint suddenly flashed in his grave and dark eyes as a sinister qi leaked out for an instant before vanishing the next moment.
'Oh? Ruling class Darkness Qi? Who is this Marc Raizen really… could he truly be a Raizen Clan scion?' Of the 11 men in the room, only one of them was able to detect this energy signature. He was a tall and handsome man with auburn hair who was currently looking at the white-haired man suspiciously.
Savage fury flashed on Marc Raizen's face for the briefest of instances before he resumed his cheerful countenance. It was as if nothing had ever happened, and he didn't notice that someone's suspicions of him. Marc knew precisely where this aura originated, he would never mistake it. This was his life's greatest rival, a threat that should no longer exist! Marc calmly rose from his seat and excused himself, to the shock and intrigue of his associates.
Merely, he couldn't be bothered with his associates currently.
Marc Raizen absolutely knew that aura! It was the aura of Meno Riot. However, he was absolutely sure that Meno Riot no longer existed in this world. He was certain! After carefully considering the possibilities, Marc's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Amenophis! This is a Divine Dragon aura! It could only be Amenophis! So that bastard had one last trick up his sleeve after all?" Marc always thought it was strange that the beast's carcass never got discovered. "So he didn't die at all and was hidden on this planet somehow. Meno's accomplishments in science were indeed nothing to scoff at."
Meanwhile back in the outer sector of Nibiru City, thick white origin mist blanketed the entire alleyway where the kids resided, slowly leaking out into the streets. All who approached the alley got lost in this mist and wandered around aimlessly as if they were possessed. A burly man wearing a tank top crossed his tattoo-covered arms as he observed from a rooftop.
"I'll have to tell the boss that this is as far as I can go… twelve little homies have already gotten lost in this fog. What is it?" The burly man codenamed Rook frowned as he investigated the scene. He didn't feel any confidence in being able to enter this mysterious mist. He could sense dense qi of origin within. Who knew what the consequences of recklessly approaching would be?

Back in the alleyway, the walls on both sides of Lucky and the gang glowed in golden light as runic patterns flew out of the wall condensing into a scarlet-golden dragon silhouette. The dragon silhouette soared grandly into the sky as it expanded until its body stretched for hundreds of meters, and released earth-shaking roars before plummeting straight down into Lucky's glabella.
Before impact, the Eye of Horus appeared and shined brightly.
Lucky's eyes flashed open, glowing in golden light! As the dragon silhouette descended, four light spheres separated from its body and one landed on the glabella of each of the other three youths present, while the other shot off into the distance rapidly.
As for those present, all three of their bodies shook intensely before they were rendered unconscious as the tail of the dragon's silhouette entered the center of Lucky's forehead. On the other hand, Lucky Riot was actually still conscious, in spite of the dragon silhouette trying to disperse his consciousness at every moment. The boiling of his blood allowed him to retain a thread of focus. This single thread of will seemed to possess some sort of endless resistance, it would never fade! With this thread, he desperately tried to increase his mystic origin by refining the surrounding origin energy. Drops of liquid essence slowly condensed from his origin root. These drops were near negligible amounts of mystic essence strength.
Lucky currently needed as much strength as he could get!
To Lucky's shock, he immediately broke past the barrier leading to the third level! Shocking still, it didn't end there. He successively broke through to the fourth level, the fifth level, all the way up to the mid-phase of the sixth level Hardbody Stage. The origin energy charged into his body like a 100,000 man strong calvary stampeding through him. He could feel the strength of his body increasing astronomically.
Due to his rapid and successive breakthroughs, Lucky Riot's body felt very unstable, so he continued cultivating desperately. After three hours passed, his boiling blood finally calmed down. An outrageously high amount of fatigue suddenly swept over his body in a wave. Lucky felt numb as the strength left his body and his consciousness drifted.
"You are quite an intelligent and diligent boy. I thought to forcibly knock you unconscious and raise your realm myself... to think you would not only successfully resist my soul with your own, but that you executed the exact same plan regardless. The results are much better like this. We are indeed kin, you are indeed a worthy draconian prince," a deep and booming voice suddenly invaded Lucky's mind as an ancient song could be heard. Listening to this song was erasing his fatigue magically.
"Who?!" Lucky Riot was appalled. Kin? As in a family member? His only family in the entire world was his mother and two sisters. In that case, who the hell was speaking with him? And why did he suddenly feel amazing all over? Lucky needed answers immediately.
"You're life partner is still so weak. You must nourish his soul properly in the future. Otherwise, he will be born in Zakai without potential! How can he become the greatest dragon monarch of Zakai like this? I will help you with this," the mighty voice continued as if it had never heard Lucky speak to it at all.
Lucky felt so confused.
Life partner?
What the hell was going on?!
He hadn't even gotten married yet!
His fiance was even missing in action. There were no calls, no text messages, nothing for months ever since her promotion to the advanced academy. However, this voice penetrated all of Lucky's senses directly from his soul, and the latter couldn't figure out how to combat this.
"Indeed. It is time for you to learn about your heritage. Your father has left me in charge of guiding you through your youth. Do not worry. We may be trapped and surrounded by fallen heroes, but now that your bloodline has awakened I can slowly merge with your..."
"Enough!" Lucky Riot grasped on to that stubborn thread of will and used all his concentration to force himself into the perceptive force state! Finally, he managed to yell out using his powerful psi to form a soul thought. He was met by silence for a few minutes, which allowed him to recover his tranquil mind. It was hard for Lucky's emotions to be so stirred, but once they were, it was rather explosive.
"You brat… in all honesty, you seem to be much better than that Meno. You have aggression and willpower that he lacked growing up. It seems you are powerful indeed," within a newly opened space of Lucky's mind, the hazy shadow of a scarlet gold dragon manifested slowly as it continued speaking. "Fine, it seems I can not be as heavy-handed with you as I had to be with your father. I would like to ask you something. Who do you think you are?"
"I don't even know who you are, should I start telling you my life story? Did you say you knew my father? Well, that makes one of us," replied Lucky Riot with a perfect blend of indifference and sarcasm. Now that he had grasped the method of communicating with his soul, he felt more comfortable when speaking. In spite of Lucky's calm voice, the impatience and resentment inside his heart were felt loud clear by the dragon shadow, as it had already entered the pool of ethereal matter in Lucky's soul.
Lucky had obviously heard the name Meno countless times before. After all, his older sister would often go into periods when she couldn't shut up about this man that donated the yang essence that created them both. Lucky knew his name even though he had never seen his face.
Meno Riot!
That was the name of his so-called father.
Sigh...
The heaviness of this sigh made Lucky's body quake slightly as the dragon shadow spoke, "Your father is… was my life partner. We were two parts of a whole. From a certain perspective, I could also be considered your half-father, or at least your uncle. In fact, it would be more appropriate to consider me the father of your life partner."
Lucky Riot was a somewhat intelligent young man. He seemed to figure something out from the dragon shadow's previous words, "Father... life spirit. Wait a minute! Are you the one responsible for giving us the sacred blessings every year? Then..."
"Sacred Blessings? You refer to the boons I have granted you and your companions. Correct. The year you arrived here was the year that I discovered you. I had just recovered from a coma, and Meno was in no condition to move. However, I could sense his bloodline in you, as could he. He used his throne to create a passage for you, and I used my own to merge with this area, protecting it from outsiders. Now that I have taken shelter within your soul, this alleyway will cease to exist once you leave," The dragon shadow was no longer as overbearing as when it arrived, its voice was calm and smooth, it made Lucky feel relaxed. "Merely, I never expected your friends to follow you every time. I was forced to gift them with insights as well, less it make any trouble for you. I was unable to communicate with you, or else it would have meant communicating with them as well. Because my power in this realm is limited, I was only able to help a little before needing to rest. This is because Meno… has already disappeared. Without him, and especially without my throne, my existence is far too fragile."

A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
