Chapter Seven - Thoth Academy part 2
"I can't afford to have my emotions fluctuate too much," thought Lucky Riot inwardly. Such a thing was a rather oppressive feeling. The only exception was when he was laughing with his friends. Doing so seemed to soothe his blood a lot, "Perhaps this is why Grandmaster Amen encouraged me to value friendship more. How bothersome."
Lucky secretly felt a bit wary towards this, but he still didn't mind or care. After all, it could be dangerous if he chose to do so. Plus, he had known these guys for years. They were close, and it wasn't a facade.
It's just that Lucky Riot didn't entirely trust Bravo or Antonio. Especially not Antonio. Although Lucky didn't know for sure why he had always felt apprehensive around this eccentric guy, something about Tony's scent disgusted Lucky from the bottom of his heart. After hearing Amenophis' story, Lucky had a suspicion as to why this was.
However, he couldn't prove it for now.
"Hey Kasino, is there any danger down the west end? For this is surely the quickest way to school," Tony asked abruptly, dragging Lucky out of his thoughts. His friends were accustomed to him knowing a bit more about their surroundings by entering his perceptive force state.
"Wait a minute," Lucky slapped his own forehead. How could he have forgotten! He was literally just thinking about the application of this ability, yet using it had yet to occur to himself. Lucky's eyes flashed as the Eye of Horus tattoo appeared at his glabella.
He immediately entered the Perceptive Force State!
"Woah…" Lucky Riot was shocked to find that his psyche perception had improved tremendously! He also felt unprecedented control over his mental state. His emotions were all clear and in check. He no longer felt intimidated by them. It was like he was a normal high school boy. Suddenly, Lucky felt far more relaxed and light-hearted, as he laughed lightly, "Now this is what the sixth level of the hard body should feel like!"
No longer did Lucky feel like he was on the verge of explosion! He felt so happy, and it was evident on his face. His friends were temporarily dazed, staring at that superbly handsome smiling face of today's Kasino Shreya Riot. This was an individual who seldom smiled, and when he did, it was more of a sarcastic smirk. Who knew his smile was so breath-taking since he usually didn't smile? At most, Lucky would only laugh a lot.
Lucky suddenly grabbed Maggie's hand and spun her into his embrace. Maggie's face immediately reddened like a bloody peach, but she didn't resist at all. As far as she was concerned, this man could do whatever he wanted to do with her. Lucky looked back at Tony and smiled brilliantly, "The west end's not so safe. I know a better way. Come and follow me, let's go."
Lucky dashed off down a side street, lifting Maggie into his arms like a princess as he ran. Maggie felt so delighted that she didn't know what to do other than covering her face in embarrassment, and Tony immediately dashed behind them. He was visibly jealous. Meanwhile, Capp and Bravo remained where they stood and looked at each other in the eye.

"What are you thinking? I mean, really?" asked Bravo Frenzy. "Your the one who knows him best. Is he… very different?"
"I don't know…" said Capp after a bit of thought. He sighed heavily, "He seems the same for the most part, but… earlier, he was definitely different. More intense. It was like being next to a volcano. Then just now, he was… the total opposite of that. He didn't feel threatening at all, and even felt… like a normal guy our age. That's also very strange for him."
"Mn, I felt it too. A normal Lucky is totally abnormal. I've never seen him smile like that in my life. Something has changed in him, too, just like with us…" Bravo's blue eyes flashed and suddenly became azure and cat-like. His body unconsciously released a different level of intensity.
Capp smiled wryly, "At least you both seem to have some manner of control over your changes. I simply cannot control my own at all. Why would the sacred wall be so biased..."
Without knowing better, Capp attributed these changes to the Sacred Blessing Wall. Bravo, on the other hand, knew better.
"That's not even the point, Capp!" Bravo felt exasperated, "Look, this means it's not just us anymore, you know? Even though Kasino acted plenty weird already, this is good! At least we don't have to keep it under wraps anymore, yeah? It's not a coincidence if all three of us have experienced these changes related to our blood! I don't know why it came two years late, but this means we're special. It means we're Fey Blood Warriors! We can cultivate the plasma system and not just qi refinement."
"I guess... we should have told him back there, huh? He told us about what happened to him, right? He never hides things from us," Capp crossed his arms, his demeanor changing to a nobler and more majestic bearing. If Lucky could see such a Capital, he would likely be gratified, but Bravo knew that Capp couldn't control this change. Capital's speech pattern changed a bit as he continued, "Those abrasive goons definitely had my mind distracted. Yeah, we'll tell him once we get to the dorm."
"Okay, let's go, Capp," Bravo Frenzy's eyes returned to normal, and he joined Capp as they ran after their friends.
25 minutes later…
From the outside looking in, Thoth Academy was like a fertile resort land the size of a small town. Many buildings littered the campus, and it was always bustling with traffic. It was one of the most significant properties and the premier youth academy in Nibiru City. It was likely the most popular location in the entire Disaster County! Thoth High School was on the western side of the academy, separated from the other two schools by a river channel. The walls surrounding the academy were made of mysterious purple-black steel that was more flexible than aluminum but as tough as titanium called mystic tungsten steel. In addition to the defensive formations inscribed into the walls, Thoth Academy seemed almost as impenetrable as a fortress.

"Halt!"
At the main gate of the academy, there were several guards on duty. As far as Lucky knew, they were usually lazy and uncommunicative. However, as Lucky and Margot approached the entrance, they were immediately stopped cautiously. After all, Lucky Riot was right over two meters tall, and Maggie Frenzy was now two meters tall exactly. They could easily be mistaken for adults, and as Lucky was currently racing while carrying the giggling Margot, they appeared to be some tourist couple roaming around the city.
"This is the campus of Thoth Academy! By order of the dead, identify yourselves!" said the guard. This fat man with light brown skin was actually vaguely familiar to Lucky.
Maggie Frenzy sweetly kissed Lucky on his cheek as he placed her down on her feet. As she turned to face the guard, her sweet and gentle expression had, at some point, completely shifted into an arrogant sneer. Maggie shouted aggressively, "Have you lost your damn mind, fatty?"
After that goon threatened her health earlier, Maggie felt absolutely fed up with being spoken too in this manner. She wouldn't stand for it another second, even if it meant coming to blows over it, "Correct your speech when addressing this princess, or I will correct it for you."
"You!" the fat guard's face was flush with anger. However, he looked at the girl's long legs, golden hair, and blue eyes. His heart accelerated uncontrollably, and he seemed to be reminded of something.
"Joe with the bow?" said Lucky Riot lightly while wearing a strange countenance, "So you're a guard now? Who would've thought... Where's Susie?"
Upon seeing that Lucky seemed to know this rude guard, Maggie instantly lost her intensity and became demure. She stood sweetly behind Lucky, but she looked past Joe with the Bow as if he didn't exist at all.
"Eric's fixing her up for me, she got damaged by a senior student. Damn jerks, always strutting around like they're Silver Mercury or something. As for this… Well, I had to pick up this post for extra credit since I'm only at the fourth level. This way I can earn some extra resour… wait, is that you, Lucky?! You really came back?!" Joe only knew one person in the world who called him 'Joe with the Bow' every single time they met, and that too with a straight face. It could only be the renowned king of the trash, the immortal waste, Kasino Riot!
They were both looked down on last year, so they had formed quite the cordial interaction. Lucky always remained confident and spoke many motivating words to Joe, and this was during a time when Joe needed to hear that a lot. This was why Joe was able to recognize his voice, reacting to it without thinking, "You grew taller, man! Did you finally reach the fourth level as well?"
Once a mystic artist reached the fourth level of the Hard Body Mystic Stage, their entire body would undergo changes. Therefore, it was natural that Joe thought this way.
"Haha, yep. Anyway, let us through bud, what's the deal?" said Lucky Riot as he strolled up to the gate. Joe made no attempt to stop either him nor Maggie once he confirmed Lucky's identity. Fear swam in his eyes as he realized who this angelic woman by Lucky's side was.
By this time, Antonio Bazaar III had caught up. Tony was out of breath and shocked by how fast Lucky Riot had become. Tony simply couldn't keep up at all. This was even while Lucky carried his precious Margot, much to Tony's dismay. Lucky didn't use a movement art or anything, he merely ran forward. Meanwhile, Tony used a profound movement art and couldn't keep up at all.
"Hey Antonio, about Lu…" started Joe when Antonio was passing by him. However, thinking that he shouldn't look so chummy with a waste like Lucky now that he got along so well with the upperclassmen, Joe changed his address, "well, that guy Kasino's a bit… different, yeah? What's up with the tattoo on his forehead?"
'Tattoo?' Tony genuinely had no idea what Joe with the Bow was talking about, but he didn't change his poker face. Not everyone could see Lucky's Eye of Horus because Lucky himself had to first trust that person. Since Lucky had never trusted Tony much, Tony had never seen what it looks like. Neither had Bravo for that matter. Only Capp and Maggie could see it. This was a function that Lucky himself had no control over. Currently, he couldn't stop others from looking, and he couldn't allow anyone to see it either.
However, for those he didn't trust, they would never be able to see it.
"Well, it's like this… you heard that those two were both out for independent study these last few months, no? Let's just say you'll be surprised by the results of their training," said Tony in an air of mysticism.
Joe frowned as he never knew how to deal with this eccentric guy, ever since they were in elementary school. On the other side of the gate, Kasino and Margot were passing through the origin recognition security system. This was a critical gateway full of machines and devices that could identify the energy signatures of those who passed by. To matriculate, you need not only your student crest, but you also needed the correct energy signature. It was quite in-depth. After quickly crossing to the other side, the couple chatted while they were waiting for their friends. Five minutes later, all five friends were reunited!
After going through the gate and arriving on campus, the five youths were finally back at Thoth Academy!

Dungeon Darwinism: Deepest Dungeon
Dungeons are a lot like sea turtles. They’re born in clutches of dozens, if not hundreds. A hundred may be born at one time, buried in still burning cities, or in forests where the canopy hides the sky, or in ocean trenches at the bottom of the sea. But only one in a clutch ever makes it to the surface. Everyone knows about dungeons— monstrous factories that emerge out of the earth, full of riches and Arcana and power— and monsters. But most of humanity only know about the dungeons that make it. Mark doesn’t know anything about dungeons. He isn’t from this world, and only as a victim of circumstance has he become an unwilling half of a dungeoncore. The other half is a Dark Lord. (Rewrite)

What is this?! Why are my hands just bones?! Am I decomposing?! It doesn’t seem to hurt though.” Just like normal, I could feel my heart beating faster, however, as I touched my chest, I felt my fingers sliding through the intervals of my ribs; my heart was gone. “Aaaaah!” As I panicked, I heard a girl’s voice behind me. “Ahm... Suddenly, something touched my right shoulder. My body froze. Slowly, I looked at it; I saw a hand wrapped in white bandage.

Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.

World-building that would help me with another project I have been working on for the last 4 months. That means it is a writing practice project for me. *Not a power fantasy. So you could expect lots of new species, magic, races, system twists, and a lot of other things. That is if I update it( Naash scoffs at himself.) I am not going to update it constantly, not even twice a week. So any 1 or 2 stray readers who stumble upon this and mistakenly like it (Sorry in advance.)
