[What is a mere cat doing here?]

A deep voice came from the dragon, I stopped charging upon hearing the voice and checked my surroundings for the presence of another person, but the only presence found was that of the earth dragon, an overwhelming and ominous presence.

[Hmm? I sense the scent of a divine beastman from you. Care to introduce it to me?]

“You... You can talk?”

[Mmm… It’s telepathy, mine name is Garoes of the 7 deadly sins.]

“Well, do you mind sparing us and going on your way? A member of the 7 deadly sins will be troublesome to deal with.”

I took out the mixture in the mortar and threw it into the pot, which was boiling red with other ingredients.

“I wonder how Jack’s doing.”

Dragons are usually mini-boss class monsters, I am not sure if I can beat one right now with the preparations I have on hand, to equip most of my powerful gear, I need level 150.

While waiting for the final step to finish, I looked through my inventory for a weapon.

“Let’s see... Level 130… Level 200… Ah! Level 1, Beta sword!”

After scanning through multiple weapons, I found the Beta sword. The sword was an exclusive gacha weapon during the Beta phase, only 100 swords were available in a server. I remember spending $600 trying to get it since the ATK was similar to that of a level 150 swords but it had no bonus effects like most weapons.

“Alright! It’s finished!”

Smoke spewed out of the pot and inside of it were 2 bottles made of crystal clear glass clearly showing the glistering amber liquid inside.

“Dispel!”

All of the ingredients and tools disappeared leaving only smoke behind after I cast dispel, dispel is a unique spell that uncast everything the player cast using their MP with the cost of 10MP.

I quickly headed towards the direction Jack ran, with the Beta sword and overpowered potion in hand, after cleaning up everything with dispel.

The loud footsteps of the dragon combined with the falling of trees were easily heard from a distance away as I ran.

“Jack!”

As I approached closer towards the sound, I found Jack in front of me covered in blood leaning against a tree. The surrounding trees were all knocked down and a tall figure stood in the middle of the destruction, I ignored it and turned towards the almost dead Jack.

“Damn it! Appraisal eye!”

I hastily jugged the Élixir sacré de la divinité and ran in the opposite direction of the dragon as fast as possible, the dragon is an earth dragon which was notorious for having a slow attack speed and slow running speed, I should be-

The earth dragon, who should’ve been far behind me, was standing in front of me nonchalantly speaking. The dragon was nothing like a normal earth dragon with several black scales and black horns, does this have something to do with the ‘Blessed By Demon God’ title? And, possessed?

I carefully laid Jack down and poured some health potions I had on hand to heal some minor external wounds.

[Little one, this is what one calls telepathy. Mine name is Garoes of the 7 deadly sins, Garoes of Gluttony! If I look closely, Your face isn’t bad either maybe I can have fun before-]

[My, how crude? To attack when the other party is talking.]

I charged forward with my Beta sword on one hand and fireballs on the other, I threw as many fireballs as possible straight towards the earth dragon filled with rage in my eyes, all I had on my mind was killing the bastard.

[I think you should settle down, how about we negotiate? You should already know what my power is capable of thanks to your appraisal eye, the chances of you winning are impossible and I don’t want to scratch a potential prize after all.]

“Negotiate? How!?”

[You will come with me and become my pet, letting me eat your divine power. In exchange, I’ll spare that cat over there, he’s important to you right?]

Although I haven’t spent much time with Jack, he’s one of the few people I’ve ever interacted with in real life, we’ll both die either way if I reject it. There no choice at all.

I quickly prepared a parting gift and laid it near Jack's body, goodbye Jack, even though you were annoying and we didn't spend much time together.

I turned my back from Jack and faced the dragon before me, now, how do I climb it? I could-
