[Screa Port City, Outer Land]
9 days have passed since the group have fought the bandits and thus the rotten corpses are starting to smell, luckily Kaido managed to get rid of the smell by circulating a barrier on them and freezing them them to preserve the corpses and get rid of the smell
For 9 days they've only passed one village and finally made it at the gate of Screa Port City
When they approached the gates, a city guard halts them at their tracks
"May I know what business your here for?" Asks the guard
"Oh! We're here for just travelling!" Said Rebecca
After that the guard looked inside and saw an elf and a guy sitting by the sides while a pile of bags contained in a frozen barrier inside the carrier
"Then what are those?" Asks the guard
"Yeah! The thing is... When we were on our way here we somehow encountered a group of bandits, we were planning to hand this over to you guys!" Said Rebecca
"Bandits?" Asks the guard
"Bandits" replied Rebecca
Hearing her the guard called out to another guard and told him to dislodge the dead corpses
After that the guard faces Rebecca
"We now have all the corpses, after we identify them we will give you your rewards but for now do you guys at least an ID or permit so that you can enter?" Asks the guard
"Yeah here! Look were Adventurer's" said Rebecca
Seeing her ID the guard let them come in but before they could pass him he said
"Be careful of those greedy nobles! Especially the elf! Those bastards don't have any shame at all and do what they want!" He whispered
"Don't worry we can handle ourselves!" Said Rebecca

Hearing the guard Kaido smirked
"Seems like no matter what world you came from they are always greedy and corrupt rich people" he whispered
Melfina clearly heard Kaido but chose to kept silent
"By the way... What are you guys doing in the village?" Asks Kaido
"No need to worry kaido-sama they are training themselves to be a better fighter and be a better use to you!" Said Melfina
"Good! How about the spies?" He asks
"Those traders? It seems that they are still doing they're work diligently and now they expanded their side from few traders they have made other people with other occupation join they're group and follow your instructions" said Melfina
"I see!" Reacted Kaido
"Some of them started to call you boss by the way!" Added Melfina
"I see!" Reacted Kaido with a sweat trickling down his face
After few silence Melfina stated
"But the thing is kaido-sama there is one guy who seems to be plotting something behind you, and now he's procuring soldiers to protect himself from you while betraying your trust...." Said Melfina grimly and with anger in her tone
"That's what the other spies told me in they're own communication crystal after all they are a little bit suspicious of him" said Melfina
Hearing this Kaido smiled wide revealing his canine teeth to see
"Looks like I have to clean out the group again!" He said
"Where is he?" Asks Kaido
"The other merchant told me that he'll be arriving in Screa tomorrow" answered Melfina
"Alright I know what I'll be doing tomorrow! I'll show them the consequences on betraying me" said Kaido
****************
As they talked Rebecca found an inn for the and rented out three different rooms
After they settled down they met up downstairs and had their fill on lunch after all they've been on the road for at least ten days

After their fill they immediately heads out the inn and plans to explore the city
"We're planning to go to this city's adventurers guild" said Rebecca
But before they could head out a carrier stops infront of them and the door opened up
"Ugh! A noble in this rusted inn?" Reacted Rebecca
When the door opened a head that came from a lady poked out
"Rebecca? Is that you?" She asks
"Ugh! Lilith?" Replied Rebecca
Hearing Rebecca's reply the woman in her late teens bursted out of her carriage and hugs rebecca tightly
"Rebecca it's been so long! I missed you! Even if your not your house successor doesn't mean that you can just leave your home just like that!" Said the woman named Lilith
"What!? Wait? Me noble no way" said Rebecca with sweat trickling down her face
This time the Lilith looked up to her in puppy eyes and said
"You.... You don't remember me?.... I'm your best bud! How can you forget me?" Said the teary eyed Lilith
Seeing this Rebecca gave up.on pushing her away
"Fine! Fine! Do what you want!" Said Rebecca
After that she looked back and saw kaido and Melfina mumbling something
"So Rebecca-dono is a noble born.... I see" said Melfina
"No wonder her old room and the way she spent her seems like a rich kid! This explains a lot" said Kaido
"What explains a lot?" Thought Rebecca
But on the other hand Kaido thought of something really clever
"A noble i see.... Looks like I have to get this nobles trust and plant my roots in their society" he thought
As he straightened up Kaido walks towards them remembering some of the formal etiquette of his old world
"Greetings my lady!" Bowed Kaido
This time not only Melfina but also Rebecca stared at Kaido dumbfounded as if they're seeing a ghost
For them a formal Kaido is nowhere ordinary
"Ugh! Kaido? Formal? Impossible!" Thought Rebecca
"Kaido-sama?" Exclaimed Melfina
But for Lilith this caught her attention
"For a person, you don't dress like an commoner nor and adventurer especially noble but your manners are spot on! Tell me what do you want?" Asks Lilith
Hearing this Kaido smirked in his mind
"My lady! If you would allow me to form at least a little bit connection with you and I will assure you that my ways would greatly benefit you!" Said Kaido with a soft smile as if he's saying that he's a god sent pure hearted prince charming
"Hehehe! those acting role play as a noble from my world pays off" he thought to himself
"Oh my! Your quite bold!... But I like your guts" exclaimed Lilith
This time Melfina stated at Kaido as if she lost her master and for Rebecca she saw Kaido as an imposter
"Tell me! Tell me your name first and I'll decide" said Lilith
"Names Riruko Kaido my lady!"

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
