After Kaido unlocked the cage he took few steps back before the prisoners got out of the cage

The first one who got out was the man who has a long messy hair and wearing only ragged pants on him followed by the woman who has a long disheveled scarlet hair and a ragged dress

As they got out the man stretched his arms and legs before talking to Kaido and his group

"So tell me... Why did you free us? What do you want? And how do you know us?" He said with a hoarse voice as he stretched some more

Hearing this Kaido calmly spoke

"I'm here for you guys... I've seen information about you lot through some reports and papers and I want you guys to follow me... After all your strength and experience may have some use to me" he said while staring intently at the man who's stretching his body

"You are Jack and she is Anna... I'll tell you once follow me or else die... I can't let convicts to just roam free after they reject me you know!" Added Kaido

Upon hearing that the woman remained silent as she observed the situation while for the man he begun to trod lightly to the corpse of the soldier near him

"You know... I was branded as convict for a reason" he said as he stops in front of the corpse

Due to his movements Melfina became suspicious as she slowly pulls out her dagger

"In this world... People follow the strong"

As the man said that he flips the sword using his foot and it landed on his hand, after that he suddenly dashed forward as he slashes down the sword

The moment he slashed down the sword Melfina immediately intercepted him and blocks his way using a dagger

Due to this he took a step back as he said

"Hahaha! Looks like this girl has some skills... You have some interesting people with you kid... And based on her aura and appearance... She maybe a an elf who is disguised as a human with the help of an item" deducted the man

After hearing him Kaido was amazed at how the man pinpoint Melfina out during their first contact, as for Melfina herself she feels an incredibly dangerous aura coming from the man as he smiles from the encounter

After a few moments of silence the man dashed again as struck his sword out to Melfina but the latter immediately used her two daggers to party his attack

Seeing this the man immediately grabs Melfina's wrist as he spins around and about to strike her from behind

When the man did this Melfina sense a great danger so she jolted forward to give herself a boost and stumble to the ground, Melfina was sweating a lot as she managed to dodge by a hairs thread but her assurance vanished quickly when suddenly the man dashed straight for her and slashed downward

To block this Melfina blocks the attack with both of her daggers but the collision left her astounded as she felt numb from the attack

When she was about to retaliate the man unhesitatingly punched her through her stomach, after that the man spins as he back kicks her on her head which resulted to her stumbling across the floor

"Ahahaha! Come on! Show me what you got elf girl" laughed the man

Due to his attack it left Melfina clutching her stomach as blood flowed out from her the side of her head

As the man taunted he made his move by dashing straight to Melfina

But when he was about to land his attack a earth spikes suddenly assaulted him which made him to jump back and look at Kaido's location

"You...." He growled

After that Kaido shot out three more spikes to the man, but the man quickly dodged his attacks and dashed straight for him

Seeing this he puts up his barrier immediately and when the man's attack made contact with his barrier the sword which is held by the man snaps into two

With that opening Kaido steps the ground and ice spikes emerged from the ground and attacked the man

When that happened the man quickly dodged that but suddenly Kaido appeared behind him fired a whirlwind straight at him

"Don't underestimate me kid"

With a grin the man swept his hand sideways and redirected Kaido's aim, after that man clenched his fist as he sent out a punch which landed successfully on Kaido's face making the latter flew back and stumbling unto the floor

"You almost got me kid... But unfortunately your still too inexperienced in terms of fighting" taunted the man

But contrary to his expectation Kaido replied

"Are you sure?"

When he heard that his gaze suddenly felt hazy as he kneels on one knee

Apparantly when he looks down he saw a spike impaling him to his side and blood dripping out of his body

"You sneaky brat... I totally didn't saw that one coming" he groaned as he pulls out the spike

"One needs to know tricks in order to survive" Sai Kaido as he stood up

During this time Melfina regained her footing and went to Kaido's side

When Kaido approached the man he bellowed out at him in a domenearing tone

"Now make your choice! Serve and follow me or die?"

After hearing him the man sneered as he said

"Fine... You win! I give" he said

After that the woman also followed out

"Me too... After witnessing that... I'm certain that you have the skills to lead us" she said as she folded her arms

When Kaido heard her he gave her an indifferent look as he grinned a little

"Kid you can call me Jack" said the man

"Call me Anna" said the woman

"But if you show a hint of weakness remember... I'll kill you myself" said Jack

"Don't worry! You'll never regret it" smirks Kaido

"And I'm pretty sure you won't be able to kill me though" he added

Upon hearing this Jack laughed

"Hahahaha... Whatever kid" he said

"Heh! Don't be too arrogant old man" replied Kaido

At this time the deal was done as Kaido finally obtained a new companions in which it would improve the battle prowess of the group making it more formidable
