[Passageway]

Inside the dark passageway both Luka and Alda are currently on a spree while evading and blocking the attacks coming from multiple huge earth worms

As the monsters popped up from the walls and on the path way, both of them used whatever method they could think just to avoid this kind of sudden ambushes

When both of them managed to arrive at a intersection. Luke immediately turned around and held his shield up intending to stop the huge earthworm's

As for Alda he quickly turned around and unsheathed two swords from his waist and face the incoming monsters

Quickly when an earthworm sprung up from below, Luke immediately smashed his shield at the monster and following it with his skill to push back the earthworm's in front of him

"Heavy Cleave!"

When this happened Alda quickly dashed forward and attacked the other earthworm's using his skills

"Crisscross!!!"

"Sword blade!!!"

"Bisect!!!"

Instantly four earthworm's who received the attacked fell unto the ground dead and not moving an inch

Very quickly more earthworm's sprung up from the walls and attempted to bite down Alda, but the latter quickly used another skill to block the attacks

"Continuous parry!!!"

With that Alda successfully blocked the attacks and he followed it with multiple sword blade to finish them off

As the monsters fell both of them became alerted once more as if they were expecting more earthworm's to appear but after few minutes of waiting. There doesn't seem to be another wave of monsters and so for that reason they started to relax a little

Since monsters are monsters they can still be exchange for materials and many if it is exchange in the guild so they quickly stored the earthworm's inside their spatial bag before keeping their swords away

As they cleaned up the area Luke asked Alda about something that was out of the blue

"Hey!... I've been meaning to ask but... Are both of you and Mia are in somewhat close relationship?" Asks Luke out of curiosity

Hearing that Alda gave Luke a perplexed gaze and upon seeing the former's expression Luke said

"It's just that I often see Mia teases you a lot and sometimes both of you converse quite well"

At that Alda gave him a sigh as he said

"Well it is expected... We are childhood friends" answered Alda

At that Luke nodded silently as he listened

"And what else?" He asks

"What else? Well we spend our days of childhood together and also we play with each other a lot in which people mistaken us for something else" answered Alda

"I see then no wonder you guys seemed comfortable with each other" remarked Luke

As Luke said this, Alda however gave him a stern gaze but suddenly both of them heard footsteps coming from one of the direction of the intersection

Since they are in unknown place both Alda and Luke became alerted and held their weapons, ready when the enemy appears

As they thought of this two silhouettes appeared from a corner and when this two silhouettes saw them from the corner. The other one throws a dagger straight at them

"Crap! An ambush!" Exclaimed Alda

"Shield block!!!" Shouted Luke

When the daggers are blocked the other silhouette released a fire ball straight at them causing both of them to dodge it

"They've got a mage!" Exclaimed Alda

"We need to back away! Quickly!" Said Luke while eyeing the two silhouettes

As he said that the other one dashed straight to Alda and brandishing it's daggers

Seeing this Alda pulled out his swords and blocked the attacks

Peng! Peng! Peng!

When Alda exchange blows against the silhouette he felt a little numb from the attack of the enemy

When he was about to retaliate Luke quickly stopped him upon noticing the identity of the two silhouettes

"Don't!" Shouted Luke

Because of this Alda quickly jumped back as he asked Luke

"Why?"

"Take a look! It's Anna and Melfina!" Exclaimed Luke

When both silhouettes came out from the corner Alda quickly recognized them as he saw both Anna and Melfina

Subsequently the other pair stopped their attacks when Luke mentioned their name

"You guys! We're you separated too?" Asks Luke

"Well yes! But that is none of your concern seeing that you yourselves are separated just like us" said Melfina as she kept her daggers

While for Alda he was surprised to see this assassin having such high strength that even he a sword saint felt numb from the attack

"And seeing from the direction your in... I presume that is not the way which leaves us to this passageway as the exit" said Melfina as he pointed at the empty passageway

"Your right!" Agreed Luke

"It seemed we have been separated through space magic" said Anna

"Space magic? I see... That explains a lot" muttered Luke

At that Alda intervened in the conversation

"Then we should quickly find the exit to be able to reunite with the others" said Alda

"I agree" nodded Luke

"Since we're going in the same way then it wouldn't hurt but to join forces" said Luke looking at both Anna and Melfina

"Your right!... The more the safer" agreed Melfina

With that both Melfina and Anna joined Alda and Luke to find the exit

On their way they somehow met up with a lot of monsters but since the four of them has a considerable strength then killing this monsters was quite an easy task

When the four of them finally felt fatigue they decided to rest and set up a camp

As Luke bundled up some few rocks in request of Anna, he gave them all to her before settling down on one side

When Anna received the stones she quickly placed them at the middle and pulled out a bottle from her storage

"This is just a trial product made by mine and Kaido's effort, but he wouldn't mind it if we use it this way" said Anna

At that she poured the content of the bottle at the rocks. After few minutes the rocks started to burn hot red and eventually small fire started to come out from it

"Nice! With this we can keep ourselves warm" said Luke as he cozied himself up

As Anna fell asleep due to the continues using of her spells that cost mana and stamina, she was clearly tired out of all of them

As Melfina checked her dagger Luke suddenly asked Alda out of the blue again

"Can you tell me the events that lead to your current relationship?" He asks

Hearing him Alda quickly realized that luyke was trying to know the reason why they had such relationship

"Alright! But it will be long!" Warned Alda

"I've got time" answered Luke

Seeing that Luke wasn't intending to back down, Alda finally gave up and told him their story that led up to their current condition

"Well the thing is that... Both of us Mia and me are childhood friends from a certain village and since we always spend time with each other then terms like childhood love are quite common to people in our situation" said Alda

"She was my first and only friend from the village... I was arrogant and more wild in the past that made most of the kids to not even bother to befriend me buy Mia was different she actually approached and asked me this "will you be my friend?"... Since that time when i accepted her before we know it... We became close" added Alda

"Our life back then was really nice... Well most of us wanted to stay in the past to cherish such moment but it doesn't mean that since time continues then we can't be friends anymore right? So we continued our friendship till now" said Alda

"I see" reacted Luke

Hearing him intently listening he noticed that Melfina was also listening to him so he continued

"Well let me tell you about something" he said
