[Distant past, Village]

As Alda told the story about how his and Mia's relationship turned out to be. He retold the days when they first met each other during their childhood days

In a random village of the north of the empire lays a village where both Mia and Alda grew up together

During those days Alda was much more arrogant and also high dreamer at that time. He also likes to prank most of the children back in those days

Because of his behavior the kids In that particular village deemed him as a troublesome kid. His parents was somewhat kind and generous family

His father was a hunter in that village while his mother was a housewife who often helps out in sewing clothes with the other housewives for selling

Even if they earn a little, the little family still enjoyed their life to the fullest

One day when Alda was hanging out with some kids out in the streets, he accidentally offended one of them for his arrogant behavior

"Who do you think you are huh? You think your some hot stuff just because you can do better than us?" Argued one of the kids who pushed Alda to the floor

"Isn't it normal for me to be that way? I played fair and I won easily, so what if I say that you guys are weak for not being able to catch me?" Argued back Alda

"I heard some visitors here in the past, they told me that in this world strength is everything... Since I'm stronger than all of you then why would I not boast about me being better than all of you?" He added

Hearing his words the kid that just pushed him flew in rage but the other kids joined together to stop him

"Don't bother him... He just a jerk! No need to waste your breath on him" said the other kid who eyed Alda

"He's right! Let's just ignore him... He's not worth it" added another kid

After that all of the children that played with Alda left him alone for his arrogance and this in turn made Alda felt wronged

"You want to leave? Then leave! Who cares about you guys anyway! I'm better not playing with you guys" shouted Alda

After that Alda separated himself to the other kids as he went to the tree right outside the village fences

As he sat down he grumbled about the event that took place inside the village

"It's not like it's my fault that I'm better than them... They're just jealous of me! Hmph! Who cares about them" he grumbled

With that said he proceeded to sit down beneath the tree looking out to the horizon. He felt solemn just by doing this that it made him close his eyes shut

When he did this a sound suddenly interrupted him out of nowhere

"You know... There might be someone who is stronger than you out there"

Hearing this sound Alda sprung up in surprise as he searched around his vicinity to locate the origin of the sound

"Your quite silly if you keep doing that"

When the sound spoke up again he directed his gaze above the tree and saw a girl sitting on a tree branch looking below

"Wha... What the!!!" He exclaimed

"You took your time... If this was an attack you would've have died already! Luckily I just called out" said the girl

"What did you say?" Reacted Alda

With that kind of reaction the girl jumped down below and landed beside Alda

"I'm saying is that don't boast too much or else one day when someone comes who is much more stronger than you, then you would be humiliated when you lost to that person" stated the girl

At that commented on her statement

"I won't be humiliated! I will become stronger so that none of you can tell me that I'm spouting nonsense" said Alda

Upon hearing that the girl waved her hand as she said

"Who cares... I'll see it when the time comes" she said as she started to walk away

Just like that Alda felt offended as he adruptly stopped the girl on her tracks

"Tell me... What's your name?" He asks

"My name? Why would I give you my name?" Asks back by the girl

Hearing that Alda snickered

"So that I could imprint your name into my memory and show you just how wrong you are" said Alda

With that the girl gave him a sigh as she said

"Mia! My name's Mia!" Said the girl

With that the girl left and headed back inside the village leaving Alda alone beneath the tree

"Mia eh? I'll remember that" he muttered

~next day~

In the next morning Alda went to one of the stalls in the village and when he was about to leave he saw some people stole the vendors stuff without anyone noticing except him

When the culprit left, the vendor noticed that something was missing and immediately his gaze landed on Alda who was also known as a troublemaker

"You brat! You played your prank again did ya? Give me back my stuff!" Shouted the vendor

"What are you saying old man? I didn't steal anything from you! There are some guys who left while stealing your stuff" explained Alda

"Lies! Your spouting lies again! If you don't give me back what I owe you would see that I will lock you up!" Threatened by the vendor

With this commotion it greatly distressed some of the villagers as check out the situation

When they got close to the commotion they found a vendor pulling Alda by the shoulder

"Damn it! Let me go!" Shouted Alda

"Never! Give me back my stuff" said the vendor

With this the crowd tried to calm the vendor as they separated him from Alda

Many of them testimonies that even though Alda was a troublemaker and a prankster he would never result to robbery. And since many testify to him the vendor didn't bulged the issue any longer as he left in anger

After being accused in public some kids tried to harass him for being a robber which made him a lot angrier

By noon some kids that has issue with him surrounded him and accused him

"Hey why are you here? Aren't you a robber?" Said the kid

"Yeah! Robbers has no place in our village!" Said the other kid

"Those guys are scums they should die" followed the other

Hearing them accuse him of of speculation he flew in rage and punch the kid in front of him

Seeing that the other kids ganged up on him and beat him up, of course Alda didn't back down so he also fought back

After some while Alda limp down unto the ground while the other kids looked at him while panting

"That's better for you!" Said the kid

"You should just stay like that!" He added

While Alda was being looked down after being beaten up by a group of kids. A voice suddenly sprung up that alerted the other children

"What do you think your doing?"

Hearing that the kids seemed to be frightened as they scrambled away for safety

When the person who speaks up approached Alda, the latter looked back only to see Mia stretching out her hand to him

"Are you okay? Asks Mia

"Go away!" Said Alda

With that Mia asked

"I thought they were your friends" she said

In return Alda said

"Friends? They never considered me as they're friend so why would I?"

With that Mia deducted

"I see then you have no friend..."

With that statement Alda was left speechless, after a while Mia spoke up

"If that is the case then would I be your friend? Maybe your first friend?" She asks

At that question Alda was stunned speechless
