The goblin emperor felt calm and happy. He had double the mana and also this mental pressure that he could give of which inhibits mages thinking. He looked around at the corpses of humans lying on the ground. Tonight would be a grand feast.

He remembered Stake told him that the human girl Jill might enter the battle and that he would hold her off. The goblin emperor jumped out of the cavern excepting to see Jill. But Jill was nowhere around. Did this mean the little girl wetted her skirt and ran away now that he's a low rank 2 like her?

Thinking about how he fought the low rank 2 human commander and still won with the support of the mages the goblin emperor thought that he could most likely obliterate Jill now. While he was thinking Stake came up to him.

“Congratulation your majesty for becoming an emperor, what is your order now that we have won this battle?”

The goblin emperor looked at Stake happily and felt a little foolish for being so threatened by Stake. Stake on the other hand thought the goblin emperor was going to die for sure but it seemed he overestimated the human commander.

“Stake, I want you to start the invasion on other kingdoms while I head towards that little town called Green Flower and destroy it.”

Stake blanked out for a moment at what he said. There was a time when Stake killed a bunch of beasts and took their mana core. He planned to hide the mana cores under the ground and explode them when Jill was over them.

He taunted Jill and Jill chased after him. When Jill was over the mana cores he activated a spell and the mana core exploded. The firepower of the explosion was equivalent to mid-rank 2 and Jill was still low rank 1 at that time even though most witnesses say she was rank 2.

He expected to see Jill with broken body parts after the dust settled. What he saw instead was a grinning man. The grinning man called himself Jack and said Jill was another part of him. Jack was rank 2 and then did something and his rank rose to rank 3.

Stake had never felt so much fear and danger in his entire life. He heard about dragons before and wondered if this was what it was like to stand in front of a dragon. Stake thought it was over and that he would die but the man told him he would let him go if Stake kept playing with Jill and that if he didn't keep playing with Jill, he would destroy Stake's kingdom.

Looking at the goblin emperor, Stake spoke.

“Your majesty I suggest you don't attack Green Flower since Jill is far stronger than you think.”

The goblin emperor looked at Stake weirdly.

“Did you grow feeling for that human?”

Stake shook his head.

“Then what is it Stake?”

“Remember how you ordered me to check on her every week your majesty?”

“Yes, I remember that, what about it?”

“Well you see, I once accidentally discovered that she's hiding her actual power. Her power is at least low rank 3 and she only suppressing her power so that she could toy around with creatures like our kind.”

The goblin emperor became shocked at what he heard and thought it was a joke but he knew Stake never lied. Feeling grim he asks.

“Can you prove she is rank 3?”

Stake shook his head. “I can't but it's better to leave dangers like her alone than to confront it.”

The emperor nods at Stake's answer. Stake had never lied before and there is no reason to distrust him since he had always fought for the goblin kingdom.

“Alright Stake, well leave Green Flower alone. Go on with the invasion of other kingdoms.”

Stake smiled, “with pleasure.”

Stake then went towards the goblin army and started leading them towards the closest human kingdoms.

“Glote, did Stake lie?”

Glote shook his head with fear. “He did not your majesty. I believe it would be best for us to relocate from this mountain. Let's choose a human kingdom to start the goblin empire.”

The goblin emperor nods and looked at the mountain that he has lived in for decades. It was time to move on to a new era. An era most goblin kingdoms and tribes never manage to accomplish.

After a long while, waves upon of waves of goblin all moved out of the mountain. Seeing that the goblins were all gone Jill and Tesra walked towards the cavern where the human army fell in. Around the cavern, they saw fires and destruction everywhere. The land looked damaged and lifeless.

“What are we doing here Jill?”

“I'm here to heal the land and want you to watch.”

Jill spread mana around her within 100 meters with the intent of extinguishing fires and sprouting new life. Her mana touched fires and extinguished them. The ground started growing sprouts. Soon within a range of 100 meters, there was life. Jill walked while Tesra admire the scenery.

Where ever Jill walked new life would sprout. Soon Jill covered the entire cavern and the area around it. In the middle of the cavern, she dropped waves of water and made a lake. After finishing everything Jill felt slightly stronger. The status rewarded her greatly.

“Come on Tesra, let's go check on the town.”

Tesra nod and followed after Jill. The two walked into the forest towards Green flower. The forest was vibrant with green around them teeming with life. Sometimes birds would sing and the insects would buzz. They walked and enjoyed the life around them.

After a while, they reached a river and on the other side of it was a town. The two used farsight. In the town, they saw the people helping the soldiers that survived the battle or massacre. The town didn't look hopeful and everything seemed bleak.

“They don’t look very happy,” said Tesra.

“Yeah they don't, but they'll be fine. I'll take care of them during the two years that's left.”

“Jill, why don't you teach some of them magic like you did with me, they'll be able to protect themselves after you leave.”

Jill was about to answer that's a pain in the ass but a status mission showed up.

Tournament Selection

Start a tournament and give the winners prizes.

Reward: Sword technique.

Jill put her hand to her mouth with shock and happiness. A sword technique, something she had wanted for so long. Tesra looked at Jill wonder what she was thinking.

“Tesra I have taken your suggestion into consideration and decided to start a tournament with prizes and the winner gets a chance to be taught by me or ask a request.”

Tesra thought Jill's plan wasn't a bad idea so she went along with it.

“When are you going to start the tournament?”

“Next week, since I have to get the prizes ready.”

Jill flew up from the ground and Tesra flew after her. The two flew towards the town and stood above it. The people of the town looked up at Jill and Tesra in the sky. Jill spoke loudly in a soft soothing voice.

“Hello people of this town, I'm called the forest goddess. You do not have to worry about the goblins attacking you for as long as I'm here.”

The people looked at Jill with hope and awe.

“Unfortunately I'll be leaving this place soon and the goblin might attack you after that.”

The people looked at Jill with despair.

“Pfft, the look on your faces. Don't worry though, I have decided to start a tournament and whoever wins it can give me a request and i’ll fulfill it as long as it's not staying here.”

The people started having a little hope.

“The tournament will start next week in an arena. Hold up let me make an arena.”

Jill used the mana in her body and from the side of the town where people didn't live in the ground rose. Slowly the ground rose and formed structures. The structures fully formed until it became a coliseum.

“Now that we have an arena, I suggest you all train up for the tournament. Anyone is allowed in the tournament, even babies. By the way, the forest around the mountain is all safe from goblins since all of them have moved away and started invading other kingdoms.”

The people of the town had relieved looks and felt hopeful. They also thought about the tournament and wanted to try it.

“See you all next week, bye-bye.”

Jill grabbed Tesra who was running out of mana and flew towards the log cabin. After a while of flying the two soon reached the log cabin. Getting inside the log cabin, Jill started thinking with Tesra looking at her. After Jill was was done thinking she was about to speak but a sound rang out in the silent house.

Moving towards the sound with Tesra the two saw an egg hatching. The egg quickly hatched and Jill looked at the fluffy bird who looked back at her. Taking a bacon out of her pocket she fed the baby white talon.

“I'll be busy making prizes for the tournament so I won't have much time teaching you.”

Jill went to a bookshelf and pulled out a book.

“Like I said before I'm a herbalist before I'm a mage. Take this book and study it, it has most of my knowledge about herbs.”

Jill grabbed another book of the shelf.

“Take this book also since it will strengthen your fire magic foundation.”

Tests took the two books and nods.

“Now then, I should start since the tournament is coming soon.”

Jill left Tesra in the log cabin to study the two-book while she went off to find ingredients to make magic pills and other valuable stuff. As a herbalist, she was also an alchemist and she could certainly make wonderful stuff.

In Jill's head, Jack spoke.

“Why are you starting a tournament?”

“Jill doesn't have much use for pills since she has us to boost her strength and I decided it's time for her to use her pills on test subjects,” jelly said.

Jack thought for a moment and spoke. “Is that all though?”

Jelly shook his head and smiled. “I’ve been bored for a while and just wanted to see people fight.”

“Seems good to me, I guess,” said Jack.

“Me too,” said JJ.
