《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 32 Gal Brutal Retaliation

After a year, the mana vein had been reduced to only 3% of what it originally was. Galvion soon left the cave and searched for information. The tax collector thought he was dead so his bounty was gone. Galvion soon found the information of where the tax collector lived and went towards him.
After reaching the mansion of the tax collector he tried to find Merinna but he couldn't. Thinking she was transferred, Galvion went into the mansion and forced information out of the tax collector. The tax collector said she had been transferred and Galvion knew it was a lie. He could tell it was a lie by the mana intention of the tax collector.
The tax collector then confessed that Merinna was dead. While the tax collector was bringing her back to be one of his concubines, a werewolf attacked during the day which wasn't normal. The werewolf tried to kill the tax collector but the tax collector pushed Merinna who was tied up into the werewolf claws.
The werewolf looked at Merinna's dead body with fear and shock, it then ran away. Seeing his life was safe, the tax collector looked at Merinna's mangled body. He became mad he lost a new toy. Merinna was still alive though and was in constant pain. The tax collector thought about healing her but found that it might be costly.
Deciding to not spend money on an already ugly corpse, the tax collector used his mana and burned Merinna alive. Since Merinna's vocal cords had been cut by the werewolf, she couldn't even scream in pain. Her body could only writhe around for a long while before it stopped. None of the soldiers bothered to put an end to her misery since they didn't want to earn the wrath of the tax collector.
Satisfied with his work, the tax collector left. Galvion knew there was more to the story than Merinna just dying so he searched the memory of the tax collector. After looking at the tax collector's memories, he broke apart as a human. He then proceeded to tie up the tax collector with his children and proceeded to burn them alive.
Their screams were music to his ears. He grinned and laughed. Galvion was losing his sanity and the only thing that kept him from losing it more was the tax collector's screams of pain. Whenever the tax collectors and his children were about to die, he would heal them.
Galvion did not harm the concubine of the tax collector but they still tried to attack him seeing that their children were burned alive. Galvion gave them all a quick death so they didn't have to suffer anymore.
The screams of the tax collectors went on for many years with Galvion's mana slowly rising. Galvion got tired of the children screaming so the only one left was the tax collector. He had taken the collector's mansion as his new home and would train with mana every day.

Every day he would also listen to the tax collector's screams of pain which didn't stop as Galvion kept increasing the tax collector's pain sensitivity. Many had heard the screams and pain of the tax collector's and had come to put him out of his misery.
Whenever Galvion saw them come to put the tax collector's out of his misery, he would remember Merinna who no one bothered to put out of her misery. Every time he saw these people, he would seethe with hatred. After that, he would kill them if they got too close.
The tax collectors suffered along with his will and mind being broken time after time. Every time the tax collector's mind and will broke, Galvion would proceed to heal him.
One day a pretty blond-haired woman in shining armor came to Galvion. She asked Galvion to release the tax collector's from his misery. Galvion of course refused. The blond-haired woman told Galvion that if he didn't release the tax collector's, a church would come and purge him. Galvion laughed and refused again. The blond-haired woman then left.
Finally, a day came when a church came. The church worshipped goddess Dalio. Dalio was the goddess of peace and rest. The church was about to attack when another church came and attacked them. This was the church that worshipped the god Prenos. Prenos was the god of violence was suffering.
The two churches fought each other and left with a tie. One day another church came. This church worshipped goddess Metrope. Metrope was the goddess of balance and disorder. They attacked Galvion but Galvion had already reached peak rank 3.
The amount of time that Galvion had been torturing the tax collectors was 50 years. He never knew the tax collector's name since he didn't care about it. The church lost and one of the church members spoke some words.
"If you don't release Gonia Nal Tawn, you will be condemned by the two goddesses."
Some say that one church member shouldn't have said such words because it brought a calamity on the continent. Galvion remembered praying to the gods to keep Merinna safe but they didn't. Such existence he could not stand.
Galvion flew up and in front of everyone he broke through to low rank 4. That was when the calamity began. Galvion wanted to wipe out the gods from this continent. He then proceeded to attack and destroy every church on the continent.
There were some rank 4s at that time and they had tried to stop Galvion but they couldn't. Galvion would always manage run away or escape every time. Slowly Galvion devastated the continent. His destruction forced the mana to repair the land.
Slowly, mana on the continent was getting thinner and thinner. Many other races on the conetinent lived their life revolving around mana. Mana getting thinner and thinner was a threat to their lively hood. They formed the biggest coalition on the continent to stop Galvion.

At this point, Galvion had already reached a high rank 4 after devastating the continent for about 100 years; which was enough to reduce mana concentration on the continent by 60%.
The coalition thought they had Galvion. Unfortunately for them, Galvion was a very skilled mage. Combining four spells with conjuring, he unleashed a high rank 4 spell called Scorching Sun. The spell created a mini sun that heated the entire land. If the spell landed, it would destroy a nice chunk of the continent.
That was when an archangel descended from the cloud. Galvion was shocked by the archangel's appearance. The face of the archangel was none other than Merinna. Seeing her Galvion became happy. Unfortunately, Scorching Sun was still in his hand.
He was about to shoot the Scorching Sun somewhere else until he realized something. The angel might be putting on an illusion in order to trick him. He asked her if she remembered their promise. The archangel became confused wondering what he was saying.
Galvion then thought that it might be Merinna with her memory erased. He became angry at the angels. How dare they try and make him submit using his love. Aiming Scorching Sun at the clouds, he fired. Many archangels and other angels saw this and descended from the sky to block Scorching Sun. In the cloud was their home island called Angel Island.
Merinna flew towards Scorching Sun intending to block it. Galvion had already released the spell so he could use four spells simultaneously again. Using his mana, he casted another high rank 4 spell. The spell was called Bird Cage.
He created a Bird Cage around Merinna in order to protect her from Scorching Sun. Unfortunately, half of Merinna's body was already burned by Scorching Sun.
The other archangels and angels flew into Scorching Sun giving up their life essence to reduce its power. The land under Scorching Sun burned and all life perished under it. Slowly, all the archangels burned and the only thing left of them was their mana essence. Merinna saw this and quickly absorbed the mana essence of the archangels.
Scorching Sun firepower had been reduced by 80% but was still flying with terrifying force. The mana essence Merinna absorbed quickly stabilized and healed her body. Unfortunately, there were still some permanent damage and the mana essence could only heal Merinna to where the burns were reduced to red cracks.
Filled with mana essence, Merinna's power grew to that of low rank 5. After reaching low rank 5, she tried to break the Bird Cage but it was too complicated to break. The Bird Cage wasn't harmful and was instead like armor. Seeing that it wasn't harmful and safe, she sent a normal rank 5 attack towards Scorching Sun.
The attack was a sharp beam of light that pierced through Scorching Sun and exploded it. When it exploded, Galvion teleported in front of the Bird Cage to protect it. The explosion burned Galvion face and sliced the right side of his face with a heat slash.
Although he blocked most of the explosion, the Bird Cage still broke apart and Merinna was sent flying to the ground. Although she was a low rank 5, that didn't mean she had consolidated her powers yet.
Galvion flew down towards her and saw that her body was in pain. She couldn't scream though since she ran out of energy by sending that rank 5 attacks. He saw her slowly dying in front of him. He quickly used her mana to heal her and she looked at him.
She did not feel ill intention from him. She only felt trust and love. It was a weird feeling, when she was born as an archangel from the Anola Tree she never experienced it. The explosion of Scorching Sun had still managed to damage Angel Island and it was slowly falling from the sky. Galvion looked at Merinna and cried.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there, let me fix everything for you. If we meet again, I hope you can forgive me, Merinna."
Galvion casted another Bird Cage around Merinna that stabilized and slowly healed her body. Merinna's body had been damaged too much so it would take a long time to heal. Galvion then looked at the falling Angel Island and used a rank spell to repair it. After everything was fixed, he looked at Merinna and kissed her forehead.
He then walked out of the Bird Cage and flew up. Looking around the devastated continent, he decided to heal it. He used another rank 4 spell which was layered on top of another rank 4 spell. The spell was called as he decided to name it, World Healing Will. The spell was casted and Galvion's soul split apart spreading across the continent. Wherever a piece of his soul landed, it would start healing the land.
After Galvion's soul split, the only thing left was his soul heart and soul mind. His soul's heart flew down towards Merinna. Merinna took it and got the memories of Galvion. She started to cry silently. Up above, Galvion's soul mind flew away.
The soul mind traveled fast and soon reached a cave under the waterfall. The soul mind used the last part of the mana vein and reformed Galvion's body. His strength was now only that of low rank 1. Deciding it's been a long time, he decided to visit an old friend of his. She'd been sleeping for at least a hundred years with her baby.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
