Stake thought about whether he wanted to back off, but he didn't feel like it. He kicked with his right foot and Nail backed off. Altos saw that Stake wanted to stay and decided to support him.

"So you wanna fight aye." Nail eyes became murderous.

Nail disappeared and appeared in front of Altos. A new knife appeared in his hand and moved towards Altos neck. The knife landed and Altos exploded. Nail flew back and Stake came behind him with an axe. The axe slammed onto Nail's back and he grunted in pain. Nail backed away from Stake and Stake looked at him coldly.

"You may have have reached peak rank 3, but you definitely haven't gotten use to being peak rank 3," Stake said.

"So you found out," Nail grunted," but it doesn't matter."

Mana rose around Nail and Stake brought his guard up. Nail shot forward and appeared behind Stake. Stake turned his head back towards Nail and wondered what happened. Suddenly, Stake head fell off and he saw blood gushed from the stump of his head.

Altos looked at the scene and became shocked. Nail turned his head and looked into Altos eyes. "So he made us think he wasn't use to peak rank 3 yet so he could make that attack," Altos thought to himself.

Nail shot forward and appeared in front of Altos with cold eyes. Altos exploded again and Nail cut through the explosion with his knife. Altos appeared beside Stake body and attached his head back. Stake got back up and his eyes became a little calmer. Nail looked at the two with a bored expression.

"Should we leave?" Altos asked.

"No," Stake said with a calm voice as he looked at Nail.

Nail suddenly felt extreme pain in his right hand. The pain came from a curse he got when he sliced off Stake head. "You would bet your life for something like this Stake?" Altos thought to himself.

Nail knew he was distracted and he looked towards the two while backing off. Stake was in front of him and his fist slammed into Nail's face. Nail gritted his teeth in pain and he crashed into the mountain. A red beam of light shot from Altos finger and Nail moved his head to the side. The red light tore through Nail's ear and he grunted in pain, immediately, Nail regrew his ear,

Stake rushed forward to attack Nail, but his body suddenly stopped. "Boom," Nail said with a mad grin.

A spell activated under Stake and Stake increased his defense with all his mana. Altos saw the spell and quickly reinforced Stake body. A giant blue beam of light came up from the spell and Stake screamed in agony. The spell stopped after 3 seconds and Stake burnt body fell to the ground.

Altos sighed, it was up to him now, he had made himself look weak so that Nail would spend all his mana on Stake. Altos casted a spell and the mountain rumbled. A giant golem formed from the mountain and clasped Nail in its hand. It tighten its grip and Nail screamed in pain.

On another mountain close by, a yeti with white fur opened its cold piercing eyes, it came out from its cave and stared towards the direction of Nail's scream. Immediately, the yeti tightened its legs and jumped towards Nail.

Altos looked towards the direction of the Yeti and casted multiples fireballs towards it. The yeti roared and punched through the fireballs. It soon reached Nail and it slammed into the mountain golem. The mountain golem shattered and Nail escaped free. Nail quickly healed his body.

He looked towards Altos with rage and he shot forward with his knife about to slam into Altos eyes. A hand grabbed his foot and he looked back behind him to see Stake grinning. Stake lifted and slammed Nail's entire body onto the ground which caused a mini earthquake.

Nail felt his bones break and the yeti shot towards Stake seeing Nail in distress. Altos casted a spell and a bunch extremely hardened stone spikes shot into the yeti's body. The yeti roared in pain and the entire land around them became frozen. Sharp blades of wind flew from the yeti's roar and cut everything.

Stake grunted in pain but held onto Nail's leg. He kept slamming Nail over and over again as Altos defended him from the wind blade. The yeti broke free from the stone spike and slammed into Altos. Altos exploded and was about to appear somewhere else.

The yeti knew where Altos was about to appear and it threw an ice spike towards Altos. Stake saw that Altos was in danger and he tried to decide whether he should keep slamming Nail or protect Altos. He decided to protect Altos. Stake shot towards the ice spike and grabbed it before it slammed into Altos head.

More ice spike came and Stake defended Altos with his body as ice spikes after ice spikes tore into his body. Nail quickly started healing his body and he slowly got up from the ground. He sighed and spoke, “I guess I was too arragont, it's time I leave.”

Nail disappeared from the battlefield and Altos stopped the ice spikes from tearing into Stake body. Stake looked towards the Yeti and charged forward with his damaged body. The yeti roared and charged towards Stake.

The two slammed into each other and Stake was pushed onto the ground. The yeti brought its first up and slammed it down on Stake’s face. Altos showed up behind the yeti with a dark sword and stabbed the yeti in the neck. The yeti made hoarse sounds of pain.

Nail appeared behind Altos with a knife and Stake spoke with a calm voice, “ I was expecting you.” A steel spear rose from the ground and Altos reinforced it with mana. Stake pushed the spear forward into the yeti’s mouth and through its head. The spear didn't stop and it went toward Nail’s head.

Nail moved his body to the side and the spear shifted direction towards his right hand with the knife. The spear penetrated through his right hand and Nail became stuck. Altos formed another dark sword and turned around. He stabbed the sword into Nail’s heart. Nail took one last breath and everything became still.

The yeti’s head started sliding down the spear and Nail’s dead body fell onto Altos. Altos pushed Nail’s body off and dragged Stake out from under the Yeti. Stake laid on the ground with his back and he looked up at the sky with peace.

“Looks likes our plan for this month ended in failure,” Altos said with tiredness. Their plan had been to subdue the Yeti.

“Thats ok,” Stake said with pain, “we can harvest these two to increase our powers.”

Altos nodded and he sent a message. The message went to a mountain not far from where they were and under it. It went to an underground city where many goblin and humans lived together, a human mage and a goblin mage received the message. After receiving the message, the two gave out orders.

Altos and Stake were relaxing while keeping their guards up, there would surely be enemies that were attracted by the sound of battle. In the frozen forest not far from them, Stake and Altos heard a bunch of footsteps. The footsteps revealed themselves to be Liana who was wearing a priest robe with a long golden staff in her hand. Around Liana were knights in shining armor and Kone and Decol.

Kone and Decol looked at Stake with hatred while Liana looked Nail’s unmoving body with sadness. She looked at Stake and Altos with calm confidence while they looked back at her neutrally.

“Would you give me back my friends body?”

Stake and Altos turned their heads towards each other and looked back at Liana. “No,” they both replied.

“I see,” Liana replied with a gentle voice, “then I will have to use force to take him back.”

“Try it if you want a war,” Altos replied.

Liana smiled with calm eyes and spoke, “I would rather have a war than the end of the world.”

Kone and Decol released their peak rank 2 aura and they attacked. Liana casted a spell and buffed them. The knights formed a circle around Liana and protected her.

“Rest,” Altos said as he got up, “I’ll take care of this.”

Stake didn't reply and stayed laying down. Altos formed a dark sword in his hand and he smiled with cruelness. It was then that Liana realized why they called Altos the Cruel Betrayer. Many were opposed to Altos making peace with the goblins, but he put them down one by one until they all became quiet.

Decol casted a spell with her staff and small balls of ice flew towards Altos. Altos weaved through them and cut the ones that got too close. Kone came charging towards him with a burning shield and Altos side stepped and kicked him in the back which caused him to fall to the ground.

Altos stomped on Kone’s back pointed his sword right on Kone’s neck. This made everyone stop and Altos enjoyed a moment of silence. He stabbed his sword into Kone’s neck and Kone struggled in pain. Decol became filled with rage and shot a blast of fire towards Altos. The fire felt warm to Altos as his mana barrier blocked the harmful damage. Kone quit struggling and his body became still.

“Nooooooooo,” Decol screamed as she outputted more mana into her fire blast.

Altos charged through the fire and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck. Liana was no longer calm and trembled with fear as she watch Altos slowly choke the life out of Decol.

“The way you dress is like a man,” Altos said calmly as he looked at Decol, “but the way you look is like a woman.” Altos casted a spell and identified Decol’s gender. “So you are a woman,” Altos said with surprise. “ I’ll make your death quicker than.”

Altos moved his sword towards Decol heart and a shield slammed into his back, he fell to the ground and Decol became free. Stake watched on calmly and said nothing. Liana casted a spell and restrained Altos body. Decol regained her calm and stabbed her staff into Altos back. Kone let go of his shield and pulled out a knife. He stabbed his knife into Altos neck and Altos made no sound.

“So you ressurected him,” Altos thought to himself, “your not the only one who can ressurect though.”

A bony hand rose from the ground grabbed Liana ankle. The knights around her immediately attack and destroyed the bony hand. More undead rose around the land and Decol and Kone backed off from Altos.

The mountain started rumbling and holes started forming. Giant ants crawled out of the holes and moved into the surrounding lands. From the holes the ants made, armored goblins and humans march out. Soon, an army was formed. Liana looked on with shock and surprise, she held her staff tightly.
