Jim looked around the holes in the cave, he was sure there were temcles in most of them. He licked his mouth with his red tongue. Picking a hole close by, Jim went towards it. Tentacles rushed out of the cave and latched onto him, they tried to pull him in but they were struggling with great effort, Jim weighed too much for them.

The tentacles felt a bit weak and Jim knew this temcles had been starving. He opened its jaw and tore through its tentacles, it screeched in pain and receded its tentacles back. Jim didn't chase and ate the tentacle he had torn off, his prey couldn't run so he might as well take his time.

After eating the tentacle, Jim went deeper into the hole and easily killed the temcles. As he feasted, the sound organ inside his head detected sound. Jim became alert, they sounded like footsteps. They were inside the cave and a bit far from the hole he was in.

Jim got up with curiosity, his body barely fit inside the hole. He moved silently and reached the entrance of the hole. In the cave, walking around stalagmites were three humans. There was a man wearing metal armor with a sword, a woman wearing a robe with a wooden staff, and another man wearing metal armor with a spear.

Jim became happy that they were human but then realized he was no longer human. They would not take kindly to a monster like him. He wondered what they tasted like and if they would give him void essence if he ate them. He watched them silently and did nothing, as long as they didn't attack or bother him, he wouldn't harm them.

They went to a hole ready to attack and tentacles rushed out. The swordsman slashed at the tentacles, the spearman shifted them away with his spear, and the woman threw some mist from her staff that slowly froze the tentacles. The temcles screeched in pain and tried to recede its tentacles.

The spearman stabbed his spear into one of its tentacles and the woman pulled out a dagger. She stabbed it into the tentacles and it seemed to become paralyzed. The swordsman went inside the hole while hacking at the attacking tentacles, it seems he was going to finish the temcles off.

Jim was pleasantly surprised that they had such great teamwork. But if they came into his cave, they would regret it. Jim's six red eyes closed and he quietly receded into the darkness of the hole.

The three humans quickly killed the temcles and proceeded to harvest it. After harvesting it, they seemed happy but cautious, all of them put different parts of the temcles in their big backpack and went back to where they came from.

After they were gone, Jim crawled out of the cave. He sniffed the air and went to a hole he hadn't been to. Temcles tentacles rush out and Jim bit it. His eyes were focussed and he started pulling. The temcles tried all it could to struggle but Jim dragged it out of its hole.

Once the temcles was dragged out of the hole, it started screeching loudly and Jim tore at its cone head. It didn't struggle long and soon died. Jim started eating and saw that tentacles were coming out of holes he hadn't been to. Unknown knowledge flooded his head.

It seems the temcles were going to evacuate their territory because it was too dangerous for them to live in because of the humans, there had been too many temcles death lately, or they were migrating to newer areas for prey. High pitch noise rose throughout the cave and temcles after temcles crawled out of their holes. Their nine tentacles made them stand at five meters tall with their cone head like a squid and they started moving away.

Jim didn't want to have any of that so he roared, this seemed to scare the temcles and they started moving faster. Jim charged towards a temcles and brought it down. It screeched in pain and Jim quickly killed it. He wasn't done, he was going to kill as many temcles as he can before they leave his cave.

Temcles after temcles went towards the right part of the cave while the rest went left. A loud screech came from within a big hole and Jim looked up. He had killed his seventh temcles and wondered what was in the big hole. He bit the temcles he just killed and dragged it into a hole.

From the big hole, a giant temcles ten meters tall with short spikes all over its body and tentacles fell. Unknown knowledge came into Jim’s head that hypotheses that maybe Jim's roar and attacks were a challenge towards it and its territory. Its tentacles were bigger, thicker, and stronger. From around its tentacles were purple orbs that seem to be incubating baby temcles. Something showed up in front of Jim.

Defeat the Scale 1 Temcles

Unknown knowledge came into Jim’s head and he realized he could get a void skill rewards if he defeat the scale 1 temcles. Defeat did not mean kill, it only meant to push back the enemy.

The scale 1 temcles was fast and it made Jim receded further into the hole he was in. He dragged the temcles corpse to the end of the cave and saw that four of the scale 1 temcles tentacles were coming in. The four tentacles had no temcles egg on them.

They rushed towards Jim and Jim wanted to run, those spikes seemed painful. Seeing that he had no more room to run, his fight instinct activated. Jim went to one of the tentacles and took a bite. The short spikes pierced the inside of his mouth and it started bleeding. The experience was like biting a cactus.

The tentacles seemed to feel pain and wanted to recede while the other poked at Jim since they didn't have enough room to whip at him. Jim did not let go of the temcles tentacles he was biting at while getting poked, this was currently the best position he could have.

The poking power of the tentacles didn't hurt too much since they were meant for whipping. Jim didn't want to let go of the tentacles he was biting since that would stop its bleeding, he planned on making the scale 1 temcles bleed to death.

The temcles kept struggling and poking at Jim. Jim was accumulating damage but he didn't let go. Seeing that it was losing too much blood, the temcles used one of its tentacles to severe the tentacle Jim was biting.

Jim dragged its tentacles in and started eating. As he ate he gained lots of void essences. He realized this was a wonderful situation, as long as the temcles kept bothering him, he could keep getting it to slice off its tentacles so he could keep eating and get stronger.

Jim ate ravenously at the scale 0 temcles and the scale 1 temcles tentacle while watching the hole to make sure the scale 1 temcles didn't attack. After Jim was done eating everything, he felt full and he gained a total of 65 void essence. He quickly upgraded his stats and fell asleep.

Outside Jim’s hole, the scale 0 temcles returned and went back to their holes. The scale 1 temcles walked around and ate the corpse of the scale 0 temcles Jim killed. After eating all the dead temcles Jim killed, it went to Jim's hole and stood still like a jellyfish. Its plan was to starve Jim out, Jim would have to come out sooner or later.

A scepnet came close by the scale 1 temcles and the scale 1 temcles whipped the scepnet with one of its tentacles in half. The scepnet halves wiggled around and then stopped. The scale 1 temcles picked up its kill and started eating. Silence returned throughout the cave.
