《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 104 Extreme Encounter

Tai Shen was a ten year old boy with black hair and black eyes, he wore a black suit robe and was currently cooking. The smoke of roasted meat filled the air. The rice pot made steam that was fresh, warm, and soft. In Tai Shen's hand was a wooden spoon, he stirred the mellow thick fish soup in front of him.
A knock came on Tai Shen’s door and he wondered who it was. Tai Shen patted his chest and felt the hidden dagger. He cautiously went towards the door.
“Who is it?” Tai Shen asked with an intelligent childlike voice.
“A visitor from afar,” replied a calm female voice that was filled with wizen intelligence.
“May I have your name and why you came to visit?” asked Tai Shen.
“My name is Eszero, I've come to take you as a disciple, in exchange, I’ll grant you a wish,” said Eszero.
Tai Shen tried to say the strange name, it was a little hard to say and it seemed to be in a different accent.
“I’m sorry, visitor, but I have no wish to become your disciple,” said Tai Shen.
“What about two wishes,” said the voice of an ancient man.
Tai Shen didn't know who the new voice was, but he could tell they was persistent. Tai Shen didn't know why they wanted to recruit him, he knew he was different from other kids, but that didn't mean he was special.
“Why do you wish to take me as your disciple visitors?” asked Tai Shen.
“I’m a passerby who is here to relax,” said Eszero, “I wish to pass time by taking a disciple.”
Tai Shen confirmed that the other party were most likely cultivators, but he had no talent for cultivation.
“I can give you the ability to cultivate,” said Eszero.
Tai Shen was shocked that the other party could read his mind, he calmed himself and thought about what they said. What they said sounded too good to be true. Tai Shen was from a backwater village from nowhere and there was no reason for cultivators to come to this village to recruit or take disciples. Most likely, the people in front of the door were kidnappers who were here to catch and sell him into slavery.

“It’s good to be smart,” said Eszero, “I’ll give you one more chance, take me as your teacher and I’ll grant you three wish.”
Tai Shen was a kid who liked living a peaceful life, his parents died from a disease when he was a baby and an old man brought him back to this village to raise him. The old man soon died from age and Tai Shen inherent his small house. He had been living in this house for a long time and had accepted it as his home.
“Fortune favors the brave,” said another female voice that sounded like old milk.
“If you can grant me my first wish, I’ll take you as my teacher,” Tai Shen said softly.
“What is it?” asked Eszero.
Tai Shen saw that the other party was going to go through with their words. He thought about what he wanted to wish for.
“I wish to have a meal with you,” said Tai Shen. He found that the other party beyond the door was interesting.
“Granted,” said Eszero.
He opened the door and expected at least three people but he only saw a diamond-haired girl wearing strange clothes. Tai Shen sized up the girl and felt he could beat her in a fight.
“Where are the others?” asked Tai Shen. He looked around and didn't see any villagers, this was strange since this visitor should have attracted attention.
“There is only me,” said Eszero.
Everything seemed strange but Tai Shen decided to let her in. He set up a table and filled it with food. The two of them sat facing each other. Tai Shen felt a little awkward in the silence, he wished she would start eating. Eszero picked up her spoon and scooped up some fish soup, she ate, and Tai Shen started eating with her. As she ate, Tai Shen watched her movement closely, the way she ate seemed slow, but she finished her food faster than him.
“Do you take me as your teacher?” asked Eszero.
Tai Shen decided to keep his promise and he nodded.
“As your teacher, I want to pass the time by seeing you grow, I can teach and give you many things, what is it, that you wish to obtain or learn from me,” said Eszero.

“Can you teach me to shatter a mountain?” asked Tai Shen.
“I can,” replied Eszero, her eyes looking at Tai Shen as if she was looking at a child. Tai Shen didn't feel too uncomfortable under her gaze. Looking at her eyes, he felt some very attractive fear.
“Teacher,” said Tai Shen, “Can you give me a spirit seed?”
“I can,” said Eszero.
Something happened within Tai Shen’s soul, he felt as if something was given to him. He tried to feel himself and felt a seed of energy within himself. He tried to control the seed and felt it could absorb and release energy.
“Thank you, teacher,” said Tai Shen.
Tai Shen suddenly realized something, the girl in front of him could definitely grant wishes. He became happy and then lost, he didn't know what else to ask for, he was a simple kid that liked living a simple life, there was nothing more he wanted.
“Don’t you wish to see the world,” asked Eszero, she placed her head on her left hand and looked into his eyes.
Tai Shen diverted his eyes and felt that he would like to see the world. The world was dangerous, but with this teacher of his, he was sure he could travel it freely and safely.
“I would like to see the world,” said Tai Shen.
The reality around them collapsed and changed, and Tai Shen became scared. Looking at Eszero's diamond eyes, he could see it was brighter and more deadly. The two of them appeared on a junk ship. Tai Shen looked around dazed and shocked. A map came into existence and Tai Shen looked at it. He saw a red dot and somehow knew it was their current location.
Tai Shen wanted to panic over what happened, but he felt he somehow couldn't, it felt as if his teacher didn't allow him to panic.
“Where would you like to go?” asked Eszero as she looked at him.
“You’re scaring the kid,” said a friendly confident prime voice.
Eszero disappeared from existence and a man wearing a black t-shirt with jeans and sneakers came into existence. The man had orange hair and seemed like a friendly man. He looked at Tai Shen with a smile and walked up to him.
“Don’t be scared kid, my name is Jim,” said Jim.
Jim stretched his hand for a shake and Tai Shen didn't know what to do. Everything had happened too fast and he couldn't process everything. Inside Jim’s consciousness, Eszero appeared in from of Jie.
“I will seal your memories and let you live the life of a human,” said Eszero.
Jie became surprised but he understood Eszero’s meaning. Everything he knew had been given by Jay, everything about him was given by Jim. For Jie, nothing about himself was made or forged by himself. What Eszero wanted was for him to build himself, and he was very willing.
“I will give you a companion or another you and me to accompany you on this life, her name will be Jade, take care of each other,” said Eszero.
Jie felt his existence and memories fade, he soon disappeared away. Far away on another planet, a giant black flower blossomed, and child twins fully clothed were born from within. The two of them had no memories or knew anything, all they had was each other and a system.
“Hey Eszero, let's visit Tesra, I want to see how she's doing,” said Jill.
Eszero nodded and Jim disappeared in front of Tai Shen. Eszero left a voice as she left.
“I will be going somewhere far for a while, take care,” said Eszero.
The map flew and landed on a table. After Eszero left, Tai Shen came out of his daze and started processing everything. After a long while, he calmed down and controlled the ship. As he flew above the world, he realized how small and fragile he was.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
