---1 year and 11 months earlier--
It had been one month since Elliot had accepted the offer from the the man in the suit. Once he had accepted, he was whisked away back to compound he had found himself in one month ago. Once he was taken back to the compound, he was placed inside of a white room, with a bed, toilet, and a carpet floor.
Each day, Elliot would be fed by men in identical white sleeveless t-shirts and long white pants, reminding Elliot of caretakers at senior centers. He would then be taken to another white room, which looked like a doctor's office, he would then be examined and have his blood taken. He would also, on occasion, get an MRI scan of his whole body. Elliot hated the scans as they were extremely loud and it would make his brain shake in his head.
He would then be taken back to the first room, and be fed again. He would then be placed in front of a television, and watch tv shows for the next few hours, the television that he was placed in front of had dozens of interesting channels for Elliot to watch, so he quite liked this arrangement. He would then be fed one more time, before being placed in his bed, and put to sleep.
This would continue for a full month until one day, where instead of being taken back to the regular doctor's office, he was taken to large room. The room was white with a large window placed on one of the walls. This window showed into another room, where there were scientists in large white overcoats taking notes and fiddling with large computers. Elliot was then lowered into the pod, as he heard a large voice through speakers coming from the other room.

"Good evening Mr Foin, I do hope that you recognize this voice?"
How could Elliot forget that voice, it was the voice that had promised him a change of life, it was the man in the suit.
"I suspect you are wondering what's happening right now, and what the pod you are in does"
Elliot had to admit, he was a bit curious as to what the whole shebang was about.
"This pod is fitted with all sorts of surgical tools, that will allow us to perfectly make incisions on your body and brain, making sure no mistakes occur. Are you ready for your new, your true beginning?"
Elliot looked straight up and assured himself, he was ready, there was no going back, but he was ready.
"Well then, let's go ahead and begin the procedure"
The door to the pog closed as Elliot felt woozy, with his sight becoming a hazed distortion, Elliot's sight kept on getting darker and darker, until a full darkness swallowed Elliot and everyone around him.
