It takes several seconds before the information sinks into his mind. Mouth agape, Yuuto couldn't still believe what was happening. No matter how he tries to say that everything is just an illusion, reality won't permit him.

"No, no, no, this is not true, " he said, shaking his head "If I fall in that distance then I will certainly die. Am I dead? Is this hell? Where Am I? " he muttered to himself.

During his trance, he suddenly felt something slapping him in his cheeks.

"Hey, are you okay? " The mage asked her, looking at him with worried eyes.

Yuuto joted back "Yes… "

"I see… then could you put me down then. "

He looked at her, and Yuuto realized that he was indeed still carrying the mage in his arms. Up until now, he didn't think about it because of the dangers they faced earlier. Now that he sees it, it's kind of embarrassing for him, a stranger to Princess-carry the mage.

'I look like a kidnapper' he thought.

He slowly put down the mage.

"Finally, I can move," she said while stretching her body. She then turned to Yuuto's direction and said,

"It may be late now but thank you. " she bowed at him "I'm Alice" She put her hands in front.

'I should be the one thanking you' he said in his mind.

He still has hesitation, still Yuuto grabs her delicate hands and shakes it "I'm Yuuto. "

Yuuto is the first one to let go but something is off. Alice is not releasing her grip. He looked up at her and in that moment he felt shivers in his back.

"Now, tell me, " she looked at him dead in the eyes, "How did you end up on the fiftieth floor?"

His heartbeat suddenly skipped a beat. Not from a sudden lovestruck phenomenon but for fear in what's in front of him. The glint on her eyes which seems to be harmless suddenly turns to the gaze of a predator. She smiled at him, having a dark shadow. Yuuto could just shiver from Alice's piercing eyes.

If he could escape right now, he would instantly do it now. But Alice is someone that he can rely on to escape . Seeing that he would lose nothing by saying what happened, Yuuto began to tell his story.

After hearing his story, Alice could just look at with silence. But seeing her expression Yuuto could just see it as 'what this crazy man is saying. '. Yet, after hearing his story, she tightens her grip. It was not obvious due to thin arms, but her hand grip is strong.

'How can you be this strong, Alice? '

She tightened her grip more, Yuuto could just groan in pain. Unable to endure it more. Yuuto shouted.

"It was the truth! I am not lying. Please release my hands." he begs. "I really don't know why I am still alive right now"

She looks at him, her eyes are still full of doubt but they are not as harsh as before.

"Alice..." he said in a comforting tone "I am not lying. There is no point for me to lie. I am a weak person and the one who I could trust and rely on is you. Hiding something from you means I don't trust you but at this moment I'm telling you all what happened to me. So, please trust me."

Alice released her grip and turned back.

"If you say so… "

"Thank you" he said, massaging his hurting hands.

It was rather not a good impression but he is thankful that Alice trust. He could see the reason Alice looked at him with doubt, His story at best seems to be just a fraud. But right now, he would do his best to not appear like a suspicious person for Alice to trust him.

She moved forwards but before she took a step, she called him up.

"We are going now, Yuuto," she shouted.

"Yes," he replied.

If he would describe what happened to them he would say that it was hard. Even now their situation is not favorable . they still need to escape this place and find the exit. He just hopes that everything will go smoothly unlike before.

During their journey, Alice pops-out a circular object seemingly out of nowhere. He couldn't ask where that came from after what she did. Double-tapping the object, a dungeon map was projected.

'So, it was similar to mine' he thought.

He looks at it, unlike his the projection is not glitched but rather clean. He could just kneel in dejection.

'Why mine is not working is not working' he screamed in his mind. Yuuto would certainly talk to the goddess of luck when he sees her.

It takes quite a while for Alice to find their location.

"Finally" she excitedly said.

Finding their location, she could not hide her own excitement. For someone who has survived the ordeals of a behemoth, surely finding the way to the exit will make your heart jump. Just a little bit more and they will go home.

"I found our location, if we go now it will just take a half day to go back" she said.

He also felt happy, finally the path was open to them. Before he could reply to her, Alice suddenly grabbed his hands and dragged him towards the path of the exit.

Apart from knowing the fact that Alce already found the exit. It was the first time for him to see a girl his age to smile this beautifully. Her smile was very precious knowing what she endured from the moment Yuuto saw her. However, something is still weighing on his mind.

"What about our supplies, I just have enough to say in here for one day"

"That is the reason we need to go now, we don't have enough supplies" she said "C'mon" she increased her speed.

And so both of them continue their journey.
