《Hardcore HELL》Chapter 6: Kill The Looter

Considering that Artemis' video received thousands of comments and this was normal in the recently popularized application. When Baran entered his video, he saw more than fifteen thousand views. He was surprised. He wondered why his video was watched so much. He looked at the comments. He was reading from the one with the most likes. There were mixed comments in English and Turkish. He first read what was written in his own language.
''You have a gun, Godless! Why are you waiting for it to come to the bottom? It will necessarily make it artistic!'' -lovebulbul / 105 likes.
Below the comment, people wrote messages to each other.
''I was very angry with the man too, but as I watched the creatures clear their heads with a single bullet, my anger was gone.'' -teranter / 10 likes. ''The man knows his business. -Businessman01 / 3 likes.''
A few more comments were ranked lower but he did not read them all. He moved on to another comment. These times were in English.
''Dead Respect...'' -GrinderX / 66 likes. ''The red eyes at the end took my soul from this side of the screen.'' -K.tre / 30 likes.
Generally, people seemed to like his video. He saw it in some pointless comments.
''First!'' -efe2003 / 2 likes.
"First? What first?" Baran said.
''Kefaret (Redemption)? Are you Turkish?'' -Atıl Kurt / 21 likes. ''Rise flags! Ace!'' -TurkishForces / 5 likes.
When Baran finished the comments, he had a headache. Still, he was satisfied with the result. He enjoyed people watching his video. It had eighty subscribers. He didn't know what to do with the subscribers. He entered his profile. Some people wrote comments here. They were asking when the second video would arrive. Baran inevitably wished that Friday would come quickly, but he gave up this wish three seconds later. He printed eighty subscriber posts. There was a long empty bar waiting to be filled.
Required number of subscribers for the first digit: 80/1000
"A thousand subscribers seem a bit far away. I wonder what will happen when we reach a thousand? We'll wait and see."
After talking a little bit about the video with Aykut, he didn't leave the house for the rest of his vacation. All the other days were spent on the roads. He didn't want to bear the noise of the city again. He read the detailed message sent by Ismail several times. He couldn't expect anything less from someone working at MIT. During the week, he would constantly read the information to keep it in his memory.
He didn't feel like he was working for the MIT or the staff, to put it briefly. It was different from the special agent movies he watched. The agents on TV were cool, and he was going to die pathetic hell. All the other days were spent on the roads. He didn't want to bear the noise of the city again. Watching his video on Friday reached twenty-five thousand views, and the number of subscribers rose to ninety-eight. If it went like this, it would reach a thousand subscribers in a short time. He put on his shoes. He was ready to leave the house. Ismail said he had another job to take care of. He was going alone tonight. He took his gun and camera with him. He dropped the two of them on the side seat of the vehicle and hit the road. Ismail had said he could enter the cracks at any time of the day. The Order considered it appropriate to enter the cracks at night, as it would be less noticeable to enter later in the night.
First of all, it was forbidden to reveal the existence of Hell to the public. It was one of the common rules applied all over the world. The fear that might arise was unavoidable, and for more than half a century this secret was well kept. However, electronic applications that have become widespread in recent years were the biggest threat in breaking this secret. Baran did not know why the big countries did not prohibit the use of this practice.
Was he too worried? There were things he didn't know.
The crack was the first flat on the second floor of an abandoned apartment building. He got off with his camera and gun from his vehicle. He started recording the camera while he was ready. His goal was to pass the first boss. He had spent the whole week reading and analyzing the boss's features. Theoretical knowledge was insufficient in practice, he was aware of this, but he tried for his exam.
The abandoned building door was locked. Some of the windows were covered with wood. He went around the back of the building looking for a window that had been left open. He found what he was looking for.
The wood that was closing a window on the ground floor was broken. The homeless must have done this. He put his boots on the broken window and jumped inside. Shattered glass shards spread across the floor. Why was this building abandoned in the center of the city? It was dark inside because of the closed windows.
Baran turned on the flashlight of his phone. All the windows were shattered. The floor was full of glass shards. There was no sign of fire on the walls. His curiosity grew steadily. He came here to go through hell from the crack, not to examine the building. He searched the stairs to upstairs, never mind why the building might have been abandoned.
He found the stairs. There were pieces of broken glass here as well, and garbage was noticeable. It was difficult to take a step. The sound of glass fragments and accompanying garbage echoed through the building with every step. Was anyone living here? Baran thought.

The windows of the upper floor were not closed, so the light of the streetlamps illuminated the inside. Baran still did not turn off the flashlight of his phone. He was in the middle of the hallway and he looked right.
The rooms were lined up. At this hour of the night, he would not dare enter such a deserted building alone. The fear he had experienced in the last three weeks had increased his capacity. He did not think that tasting death three times would benefit at all. He found room number one.
Grabbed the door handle but did not open it. He felt strangely uneasy. It was the same feeling he felt in Hell. Why was he uneasy before he even got in? He heard a faint voice.
''Is there anyone other than me?''
He could open the door and go. After all, he would wake up in his home when he died. He turned the door handle. It was opposite the hell station. A scream echoed through the building as he stepped inside. He ran towards the room where the scream came from. He turned off his phone flashlight and tucked it in his pocket. The safety of his gun opened. The last he did was involuntary. The cold confidence given by the gun calmed the restlessness a little. Glass shards and rubbish did not allow it to proceed quietly.
He ran. The doors on the second floor were all closed. Which one did the scream come from? The scream was heard a second time. It was very close. He had found the room where the scream came from. Other voices sounded inside. Baran kicked the door. The rotten door shattered open. He raised his gun.
There was a woman in the room with blood from being beaten and a fat man holding a gun. Baran told the man to drop the gun, but the man ignored him. He kept yelling at her, swinging his gun back and forth. He pointed his gun at the woman. He would shoot.
Baran thought the man was crazy. He pulled the trigger without thinking a second time. The bullet echoed in the empty building, slipped into the man's back. The fat man had shot at the same time as Baran. Bullets’ sounds followed each other.
When the bullet from Baran's pistol entered the man's back, it came out as it was from the other side. As if the man wasn't there. The man had not eaten the bullet. What was going on?
The image of the fat man faded and became smoke and dispersed. Baran ran and looked at the lifeless woman lying on the ground. Blood flowed from the point where the bullet entered. He put his hands to the wound, but his hands went through her wound and grabbed the dirty floor. She turned into smoke and disappeared in seconds. Even the blood that spilled on the ground was gone.
''What was that… Aren't they real? But I heard their voices. She screamed... ''
He straightened up. The bullet he fired had hit the wall. Were the two people he had just seen ghosts? He was surprised not by what he had experienced, but by the calmness of his own mood. He would ask Ismail about this. His camera had recorded everything. He would review the video when he got out of the crack. He left the room. His restlessness was gone when the ghosts left. He was alone in the building again.
Could he have met other ghosts if he had waited a little longer? He had already opened the door to Hell. He stood a little in front of the door. When there was no sound other in the corridor, he entered.
The station, where he had started his usual hell, was swarming as he opened that door beforehand. The door closed behind him and disappeared. Baran swore when he saw dozens of creatures gathering. His work today was complicated by a stupid scream and his mind's curiosity for imaginary things. Could he kill them all?
They had to open their mouths to Baran kill them. This was just when they were going to bite him. It was impossible for Baran to be able to fight more than three creatures at once. He was thinking about what to do. He was looking out for a short time from his hiding place and continued to hide.
Was his attempt this week going to waste? It had eighteen bullets out of three magazines in total.
There were almost thirty creatures here. He wouldn't have succeeded. He sat down disgruntled from his hiding place. He was brooding. If he waited a little bit, maybe the creatures would disintegrate. He had twenty-four hours ahead of him. It was okay for him to die unless it was Saturday. As he waited, flaming letters appeared in front of him strangely.
''Why did the flaming letters appear now?''
When all the letters appeared, he read the text.
Your hell is being overrun by another looter. The plunderer will remain as long as he is not killed. Kill the looter

While the entire series story has undergone major changes in the last year, all books have been planned since the beginning of writing. It is also my second wish to eventually make this story into a webcomic, either by myself or with a team if possible. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and enjoy reading! ( You can alternatively read books in the series as standalone fictions, but they connect to one another though a running theme and mystery that evolves and progresses with the main character. ) Alternate Blurb for the Singularity Cycle series: Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters mythical creatures beyond her restless imagination in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is gifted with abnormal magic, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world more dangerous than its beautiful facade could hide. Finding new friends along a path riddled with tragedy, Essairyn must learn who to trust as deceit and betrayal lie behind kindly faces. Life in this deceptively promising world slowly spirals down a path of no return. This is not a game, but cruel reality. Her simple adventure became the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tore even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought they were. And not even the fickle gods could change the time-worn destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
