Mingyue's Dad, Xia Wushan Point of View

He, Xia Wushan, was the third born of the Xia family, one of the four big families in the Fire Kingdom. The four big families was a family that heavily contributing to the military department, protecting the kingdom from foreign forces like that kingdom, fierce beast or even demonic beast. And thus they were granted with a domain as the reward. There were only four families which were having their own domain, and it was the four big families.

A fierce beast was a beast that is capable to draw element from spirit, it is almost impossible to fight it one on one battle. The trick was always fight using number, safety always came first.

A demonic beast was even more troublesome. It was said that they are mutated fierce beast that was immune from any element. Fortunately, this demonic beast was very rarely come out from Dark Forest, one of the four Forbidden Grounds.

That was why four families were held in high regard by the citizen and even royal family. Devoting their career in the military department or even to the Royal Family was not something weird for us from the four big families.

But suddenly a few years ago, Xia Family head, Xia Longyu, Fire Kingdom's Right Protector, withdrawn from his post. In the middle of our confusion, he also forced the rest of his family to withdraw from military department.

'I DON'T CARE WHAT IT IS IF YOU CAN WITHDRAW YOU MUST WITHDRAW!'

That was the only explanation Xia Longyu gave to his family.

His first brother, Xia Wuyi, Third Battalion Vice Commander, unable to withdraw because there was no successor to his position.

His second brother, Xia Wuliang, Combat Military Instructor, obviously no one would allow him to withdraw.

His oldest nephew, Xia Xiyi, invited to become King's Guard. Unable to back out from King's Guard, because he has made an oath.

His other nephew, Xia Xishan, become a garrison leader. He was happy with Xia Longyu's order obviously. He does not like anything related to combat.

Fortunately, Xia Wushan was only a Secretary of Military Supplies, so there were many successors so he could randomly pick one.

[Sigh… ] Xia Wushan kneaded his forehead.

The worst thing was what happened four years ago. Calamity happened.

No one knew where it came from, suddenly appeared and suddenly disappeared, making many people nervous. King had summoned all people that had retired and even withdrawn their service for Kingdom in order to investigate this calamity. Kingdom's border was also fortified.

Fortunately, these four years is peaceful on the border.

And currently, Xia Wushan was on my way to return to my domain.

Mingyue's first big brother, Xia Longyi Point of View

"Have you found her?" Xia Longyi asked a passing maid.

"Not yet, Young Master, we have the search around basement and kitchen and no trace of Young Miss was found."

"This little troublemaker, what is she doing now? Don't she know today we have to be ready this noon.." Xia Longyi silently lamented in his mind.

Xia Longyi knew that usually, this little sister of his is very interested in many things, unlike his other tomboyish little sister. He was expecting this little troublemaker would stay nicely waiting for her big day.

Tomorrow was the day for Ceremony of Acknowledgement.

For all children at age of five, they were allowed to make contact with spirit. And in this ceremony, each child would be able to show their own potential, whether their connection with spirit was good or had multiple elemental affinities or even both.

And the only place to do Ceremony of Acknowledgement is Star Royal City, was Fire Temple.

Usually people arrived at least a few days before the ceremony, but currently, we were waiting for Dad's return before went together to Star Royal City.

[Dad should have arrived in short time, so originally we should be waiting outside. Shortly after that, immediately we will begin our journey. But turn out this little troublemaker disappeared.] Xia Longyi touched his forehead.

Xia Mingyue Point of View (AN: now Ming Yue will be called as Mingyue)

Currently, she was hiding in the reading room. Usually, this place is off limit, with only Grandpa ever came inside this room.

[Maybe because of the secret documents here? But I am not interested in those documents. What I am searching is a book that contains some history of this place.] Mingyue was justifying her action.

'History of Fire Kingdom' is the book I was reading currently.

The place she currently lived is inside the Fire Kingdom. Not many things she found in the book, mostly only consist some of the certain king's accomplishment. Peeking on a map, Mingyue was observing this kingdom surrounding.

[Wasteland, forest, and there is a river flow into the sea.]

[Originally this place was rich in the fire element. That was the reason why the First King chose to build his kingdom here.]

[No wonder it is called the Fire Kingdom] Mingyue made another note.

Near the Fire Kingdom, there was the Water Association beside the sea and the Earth Kingdom on the mountain area.

[The map is so small] Mingyue grunted in her mind.

[I believed that this world was not as small as this map.]

While Mingyue was having fun reading this information, suddenly the door was opened and surprised her.

"Found you!" Xia Longyi smiled and uttered that word in small voices. That smile was kind of scary like some cultivator that found dragon's carcass.

Following Xia Longyi, a small child was following him from behind. He did not dare to raise his head while saying, " Sorry Big Sis, but I did not tell Big Bro" in a low voice.

Seeing my little brother, Xia Longshi, my little dumpling, looked like that, she wanted to hug him.

He was Mingyue's little brother, 1 year younger than her. Longshi was a cute boy, he would usually follow Mingyue anywhere and everywhere.

Usually, when Mingyue wanted to hide, she would always tell Longshi her destination or aim. Of course, she told him to not tell anyone else. In exchange, Mingyue would share her own snack and he would comply.

[He must stay as my little dumpling.] Mingyue silently mused.

"Do you remember what day is this Mingyue?" Xia Longyi asked with a smile on his face.

Did not wait for my answer, Xia Longyi continued, "Bring her for a bath, make it as fast as possible. Don't forget to bring more food from the kitchen, so this little troublemaker will not be disappeared before we arrive at Star Royal City." Xia Longyi ordered some maid.
