《My Story in the Otherworld》Chapter 19

"You will burn me to ashes? Haha, kid that's the best joke I've heard in a while. Come let this old man enjoy himself from torturing you before I kill this coward," Viktor said pointing at Varin.
"Mmph, mmph, mmph!" Varin looked at Viktor extremely angry, but in the end since he couldn't talk, he looked like an idiot.
'Hmph, he's 15 levels behind me. I could kill him with my eyes fucking closed,' I thought arrogantly. However, currently, I have the advantage and he was the one acting all high and mighty. Let me be arrogant for once.
As we were tensing up, a system notification appeared in my head.
Surprise Mission: Kill Illusionist Viktor Cabreis, who has terrorized the Kingdom of Piton and the Dalux Kingdom. Reward: 3000 gold from the system and 300,000 EXP
'Illusionist? Navi what does the system mean Illusionist? He doesn't have anything in his skill that is even closely related to illusions,' I asked.
'I am not allowed to tell you that. As you fight, you will know why,' Navi said indifferently.
'Hmph, what illusionist, it seems like the system is broken!'
'Hmph, you'll see,' Navi said with a bit of anger.
I ignored Navi and when I faced Viktor, my adrenaline started pumping and I was getting more and more excited. Sure Belphegor, the Demon of the Forest, and other opponents were fun to fight, but they were monsters. Their thinking was very primitive, but this was a scheming human I was fighting now.
As there was a tense standoff, I initiated the fight. I dashed towards Viktor and immediately used Goshurrashu.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Viktor started bleeding heavily from 5 deep wounds that I just inflicted. He fell down and stopped moving.
'What the hell?! That's it. Come on, he may be 15 levels less than me, but I remember that his description was that he was a cunning man that beat many that were higher leveled than him!' I thought. Of course I can't talk about level and things like that since Varin was right in front of me. However, after a couple of seconds, there was a part that really worried me. There was no system notifications coming out signifying my success.
'Navi, is the system broken? I clearly killed Viktor! What's going on?'
'Hmph,' Navi snorted. 'You have not beaten Viktor yet. Please do not insult the system for your mistake. This system created the by Holy Goddess is perfect and there should be no errors within,'
'I have not beaten Viktor yet. What the...,' I started to think even deeper. Illusionist... Illusionist...
While I was deep in thought, I noticed that Varin widened his eyes and started looking at me in fear.
"What I came here to save you and you...," However, as I was talking, I felt a presence behind me. I quickly swung at whatever was behind me.
I quickly turned my head and saw a familiar man.
"You... How..."
"Hahahahaha, you brat, you dare kill my illusion puppet?! Now that you have forced me to show myself, I will not let you die peacefully!" An older version of Viktor was standing right in front of me. He had gray hair, but he was extremely muscular with bloodshot blue eyes that looked like they could look deep within my soul. For the first time entering this world, I was truly scared. You would think that there are monsters that are far more frightening than humans, but no, let me say this right now, humans are the scariest beings alive to me.

I immediately realized that the system was entirely correct. I quickly looked at this Viktor's stats and I wanted to curse out loud.
Viktor Cabreis Age: 55 Gender: Male
Level: 90
Race: Human
Job: Illusionist
HP: 3700/3700
MP: 2550/2550
Attack: 300
Defense: 180
Magic Attack: 500
Magic Defense: 3-0
Speed: 500
Luck: 30
Skills: Conceal Presence, Disguise, Speed Enhancement, Sleep (Makes target become unconscious), Paralyze, Defense Enhance, One Shot One Kill, Killing Intent Release, Dagger Mastery, Poison Mastery, Illusion, Create Double, Death's Dance
Achievements: Murderer, Red Level Criminal, Deceiver, Inheritor of an Ancient Legacy
A serial killer who hates every living creature. He stumbled upon an ancient legacy and inherited the power of illusions. This allows him to create a double as well as create extremely well illusions that can even fool the best of sensing abilities that can look at statuses. Using these skills, he killed enemies using his double making no one know of his true form and also when his double is in trouble or is dead, he personally comes out and tortures his enemies.
"Holy shit he's 20 levels above me?!" While I did go against enemies that were at the same level as me, I had never gone against anybody that was so much higher leveled than I was. However, at the same time, I was getting more and more excited. If Belphegor that was the same level as me did so much damage, this fight should be much better. Hardships are necessary to improve!
Viktor took out 2 daggers and 2 bottles and started to pour its content on the knife making the room have a pungent smell.
"I would use powder to paralyze and kill you, but that's too easy! I will fight it out with you since you want to 'burn me to ashes'. This is the Death Poison on my left dagger and the Stunner on my right dagger. The Death Poison has no-"
Like I did before, I dashed towards Viktor and slashed at his face. He immediately dodged and backflipped away.
"Tsk tsk tsk, so impatient. Listen to what I'm saying before I fucking kill you! The Death Poison has no antidote and if you are even slightly nicked by this dagger, the poison will kill you in 5 hours. So try to dodge all my attacks and you could already tell what the Stunner can do. It can paralyze you in a single minute. Well in the end, you're going to die so all I can say is good luck!" With that Viktor disappeared from the spot he was in.
'His speed is only 500! How is he so fast?!' I immediately pushed my senses to the limit to make sure that I was able to perceive every single movement in the room. In the corner to my right, I heard a slight step so I put my sword up in my right and sure enough, Viktor appeared at my right and swung down with extreme high speed. Fortunately, my sword blocked it and I swung at his direction, but I missed he disappeared once again.
"If I'm correct that skill should be an extreme movement skill!" I shouted.

"Hahaha, you're only half right!" Viktor's voice resounded in the room. "I'm using my Illusion skill to fool your senses and use a skill called Death's Dance for extreme speed, but it seems that your senses are extremely strong so I can only block parts of it. Kid, I know only two people that was able to do that: the Royal General Olaf and the King of Assassins Leo. For that fact alone, I will immediately kill you instead of torturing you to honor your strength!"
"How arrogant, he says I'm strong, but he tells me the details of his skills. He thinks he could beat me even with me knowing everything,' I thought to myself angrily.
At the instant, I heard light steps to my left so I immediately shot a tornado fused with water element. In that instant, the tornado started to move with extreme fast speed and on the bottom was a small whirlpool the size of a large desk pulling everything in. The force disrupted Viktor's movements and I could finally see him. I immediately used Gosurrashu.

"Argh!!"
Viktor fell down with five big slash wounds on his chest.
"You... You forced me!"
Viktor's vein started to bulge and in just a second there was a clone next to him. It wasn't the weaker and younger one, but an exact clone of himself.
"Hmph, I wasn't planning on using this until I start killing the entire royal family, but since you so desperately want to die, I will fulfill your wishes. Behold, the ultimate power of illusions,"
The two Viktors ran towards me with a smile with their daggers ready. They started to zig zag with extreme speed and in the end, I could not tell which one was the clone anymore. Seeing that they were going to confront me head on, I immediately used Physical Enhancement, Magic Enhancement, and Katana Boost.
In a couple of seconds both arrived at my left and right side and swung their dagger in different directions.
I turned sideways to face the Viktor on my right and blocked his dagger. At the same time, I kicked the Viktor behind me with a back kick.

Without saying anything, the Viktor in front of me took a couple of steps back and both started getting prepared again.
They both disappeared and immediately one appeared above me and the other to my right.
I immediately stepped to my left dodging the one above me and started to fight the one to my right.
Viktor started to erratically swing his dagger. As I was born in a peaceful era, I did not really know how to fight against human that was equal to me so I could barely block and put in one or two attacks which both easily blocked. Previously Davis was a piece of cake since my status was way above him, but for Viktor, I could not take the slightest advantage of him.
The second Viktor recovered and started to join the fight. They both started to look more and more smug seeing that I was slowly getting pushed back. I look to the sides to see Varin pissing his pants and looking at the fight with fear. However, due to this slight lack of attention, one of the Viktor hit my armor slightly leaving a cut on it. I immediately disengaged the fight and the three of us jumped back.
I started getting desperate. If this fight went on for any longer, I was done for since almost 20 seconds were up. I quickly used Fiery Sword and sent out a fire tornado to the Viktor on the right and he immediately jumped back. Using that slight time, I dashed towards the Viktor the left and used One Slash Devastation. Viktor put his two daggers up to block, but my attack was too strong. It broke through his daggers and with the remaining power of the slash, I cut Viktor in half.

Without making a sound, the Viktor that I hit disappeared.
"Fuck! Fuck!" I cursed. My gamble went wrong. I fell down on my knees due to the exhaustion that came from One Slash Devastation and the remaining Viktor started to laugh.
"You fool! This illusion is the best kind. There's also a catch. With this specific illusion of my clone, I can switch which body becomes the real one. The one you hit was the real one, but at the last second, I quickly switched my consciousness to this one. Of course, I'll be a bit weakened, but who cares?! But I'll give credit to you kid. I didn't think you could push me this far. But you're weakened and you're mine,"
Viktor slowly walked towards me with a sadistic smile. He got to where I was and lifted his dagger. In that split second, I put up my hands and used Kamaitachi to send out 5 windblades, the most I could do with my fatigued self. Viktor looked shocked as he dodged all 5, but there ended up being an opening at his chest. I took that chance and stabbed Viktor straight through the heart.
Puchi!
-1700
Viktor looked me with a shocked face and swung his dagger at me trying to drag me down with him. I let go of my Katana and fell back, but this ended up making Viktor miss me by a hair breadth. Viktor just looked at me with wide eyes and died with frustration and indignation.
I took out the sword and used Fiery Sword. I slashed at Viktor which started to burn his body.
"See I told you I would burn you to ashes," I said quietly.

Anti-Martial Academy: PRiSMA Saga (LN)
{A crossover based on a Visual Novel still in the works called ‘PRiSMA’, and heavily inspired by the Light Novel called ‘Anti-Magic Academy’. Thus, the plot and events are reminiscent of the latter.} The denizens of the underworld, Anima and long forgotten Martial Artists of the Murim, both allied with each other to fight humanity. Their attacks almost caused the fledgling Magi to become extinct. When heroes appeared to fight off the invading forces, the ‘First World Ender War’ finally came to a conclusion. In the current era of peace, the Anti-Martial Academy was made to fight off those Martial Artists infiltrating the Earthland Domain. In the present, the ‘Red Queen’ was demoted back into the Academy. Forced to join the ‘Support Squad’, a team of outcasts who can’t fight even to save their lives, the one most uncomfortable became Fritz Lazrik, the leader that seemed too much like a pushover. The Arcane Prince
Book 1 is complete and fully posted here on RoyalRoad. The story is on break as I work on Book 2, which will be posted once I have finished writing it. Max is a twelve-year-old boy from the slums who dreams of seeing the world, learning magic, and adventure. On the same day that Max learns his first spell, he meets Colt, a noble-born lad on his own path to power. Colt is kind. Oblivious to the world, but kind. By his grace, Max begins to learn under Colt's instructor, even hunting monsters in the forests to the north. Max is talented and grows in power quickly, but as he prepares for the first of his adventures, the kingdom faces the greatest threat in centuries. Posting Schedule: Every 3 days until the end of Book 1 (Chapter 45). IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) This is a story about an OP boy doing OP boy things. By the end of Book 1, there will be few fights that he struggles with, and he will rarely, if ever, find his life in peril. 2) This is a slice-of-life and adventure story, which means that there will be periods of chapters without any action or conflict, but also periods of chapters with battles and exploration/adventure (the latter mostly being Book 2+). 3) There will be NO petty squabbles or conflicts going on in this story, because it is meant to be a fun one, not a high-tension, drama-filled story. So it will NOT be that. If you want lots of action or lots of conflict, then find another story to read because this isn't it. 4) There will never be an overarching evil/villain/conflict to deal with in this story past Book 1. Ever. 5) Book 1 is entirely written and can be considered a standalone story on its own. Right now, the story may last 2-3 books, or it may last 7-10 books. It is guaranteed to make it through Book 2 or 3, and if I decide to go with the bigger journey I have planned after that, then it will be longer. There will be a several-month wait between Book 1 and Book 2. 6) The story contains the sexual content tag, but it will not contain any unless Max and his future boyfriend reach 18+ years of age in-story. If I decide to bring the story to a conclusion with Book 2 or 3, or they never reach that age in the full story for the long journey, then I will remove the tag. 7) There are currently absolutely no plans to make this story into a harem if I write the extended story. If I write the extended story and decide at some point to make it one, then I will add the appropriate tag and inform readers of this decision. However, there are currently zero plans to make it one. 8) This story takes place in its own story universe, with its own rules. Please keep that in mind when reading it and other stories.
