For the last few years, I went through one of the toughest periods of my life. I tried a lot of things to ignore the pain and depression but nothing seemed to work out.
I started reading novels and I enjoyed quite a few of them. But I knew something was missing in the human emotion, the mistakes that someone makes, and the raw pain that someone goes through.
I know there are many novels that bring out this but almost none create the true essence of who is a demon.
In most novels with mc that turn into demons, they end up having multiple wives and many friends.
The reason I titled my novel 'Carefree demon' is to show the contrast between the way we portray a demon nowadays and how a demon's life really is.
I do not know if anyone would read this or would be forgotten but I would definitely finish this someday.
These days the in novels there are many antagonists but none of them are memorable and when facing the almighty MC they are just doomed to die.
My protagonist is a demon but does he want to be one? Absolutely not!
Who wants to be a demon willingly? Is he forced to? Kind of.
Can he endure the loneliness? No, he cannot.
Many protagonists leave the village or small town they were born to somewhere bigger and return after a thousand years to just sever their mortal self.
But my protagonist does not. He does not severe his past instead he embraces it and makes it one of his goals.
I know that I could make something of a typical fantasy/cultivation story that could have maybe been popular.
But I just want to make a story that matters and rather die of hunger than making something cliche or a 'system' novel.

This is something from the bottom of my heart.
These days I see a lot of mc who just goes mad or rages at their enemy when he loses something but is that enough?
Almost every novel's villain is an evil fiend who is completely greedy or someone without any reason targets the mc without any particular reason.
This is novel is completely ruthless and many of the people who fall at the hands of the mc would be good and innocent people.
Why? Because in this world there are no real enemies only conflicting interests.
He is hated by the masses and he hates this from the bottom of his heart.
Even in the later parts of his novels he regrets killing people and his naivety never really disappears.
He is reckless, hated by his own brethren, and is always afraid to stake his life in a life and death fight.
There might be some romance but absolutely no harem. Some of you may criticize me for adding romance for a 'demon.'
But who can truly sever his/her emotions?
His goal is not to reach the top but create a safe place for himself where he does not have to worry about anything else.
Even if there is only one person who reads this I would sleep at night with a smile on my face.
This is not a story about a bloodthirsty demon who slaughters everything in front of him but of a naive child who was doomed, hated from his very birth, and was forced to take the path of a demon.
There is a lot of pain mixed with happiness. His yearning for a family and his struggle for recognition.
The only thing I can promise you is the character development and the progression of the story.
The early chapters may be extremely boring but I AM SURE THAT YOU MAY FIND SOMETHING VERY INTRESTING ONWARD.
Even in the deadliest there exist the slightest hope for survival. This is the mentality of a demon.
