Connections!
The heat of the flames continued as the others removed their heavy armor in order to keep themselves cool from the blazing flames and ashes. I on the other hand stretched out my wings and legs as I lifted from the ground and turned to every corner scanning the area for any monsters.
"Psst."
The gentle voice of the high elf rang in my ear as a calling emerged attracting my full attention. There was no ill-intent and more so a friendly gesture that asked for me to come slowly rather than rough and wild. I did so, and saw myself as an infant dog reaching out to its master which the idea kinda disgusted me as I laid my sight at the elf's beauty.
Judging from her looks, she seems rather young then again elves age differently compared to regular humans and perhaps even dwarves. She had short hair that extended itself up to her shoulders as the color that it released was a gentle blonde lighter than normal but a little darker toned than a full out vibrant blonde. Her eyes were light, and reflected much like the color of the blue sea or even a lake a light blue that was not dark toned at all and more vibrant than the color of an entire dark blue ocean.
Her attire, consisted of a single piece dress rather than a full equipped pieces of armor. However the attire was seductive as down to her legs only a fraction of the dress extended as her legs were fully visible alongside a little glimpse into what laid underneath the entire outfit almost as if she wore no undergarments.
"What's your name?"
The simplest question to be asked, even if one were to not be a dragon. The name one is grown to harbor, as for me the single name I had given myself in this short fulfilled life thus far.

I scribbled in the earth under us as the others paid close attention as well following every movement as I had come to understand their languages rather quickly. The words of their language were inscribed into my brain flowing in naturally rather than abnormally considering this to me a strange phenomenon.
'Vritra'
"Vritra? That's an interesting name for a dragon. It's nice to make your acquaintance, Strange Dragon Vritra."
[Tittle Acquired: Strange Dragon]
That's no fun name at all!?
The naming they each placed on me, as I obtained a entire new title which in a quick though seemed regular to bear considering my abnormality to regular dragons.
The crackling noises of the fire continued and my feelings of discomfort to the skill I used grew into a bit of hate seeing as I had ruined the journey and comfort of this group. Even my own as flight was the only thing that could be capable of leaving me out of the circle and possibly a way of letting them out back into their paths with the chance of me joining them. If we manage out of the labyrinth perhaps I could roam beside them for a short period as a temporary pet, or if they are not shocked my human form.
'What are your aims in this labyrinth?' I inscribed down in wonder.
They went silent and only exhibited a silent smile as the aimed down into the ground signifying the very deepest part of the entire dangerous labyrinth. The first floor alone was a nightmare to witness in the first place with the basilisks and other creatures. but in the finally of the entire venture what will illuminate their paths... our paths?
'Mind if I tag along? It will help in my growth and as support against lower level monsters?' I asked simply without much thought to their ideals.

Their silence of ongoing thought emerged with stares coming in between them and myself. This was a serious question I didn't even come to think properly about, knowing well there may be consequences for such an act.
The ideology of a regular human would be to avoid befriending monsters as they fear being betrayed with the ill-intent of a monster harming society once approached into contact. That fear struck on many and perhaps me as an individual monster would normally possess zero harm, but what about other monsters who perhaps have that intent of approaching one and harming the others?
My sole existence is different as compared to others, and even much scarier with the hidden abilities that awaken every so often and unlock with skill points. Now that I think about it, I need to put some to use later on.
"There are certain issues with the whole monster in our party, but I believe we can manage around these parts except for the surface." Mentioned the dwarf not letting much debate.
"It would serve as entertainment, perhaps having it tag along wouldn't be so bad?" Responded the dark elf, implying it as entertainment with a strange smile.
"Well, I don't see any harm. Still I worry if it'll inflict harm on us later on as we move further into the labyrinth." Spoke one of the human girls.
"Well, I guess we can come to agree with it coming along. It will also help with collecting food supply down the line if we go short on what we have! What do you think, Grace?" Agreed the party leader who was supposedly the false hero?
"Nothing wrong, but we will be on guard. Alright Little Dragon." She responded turning her bright gaze into my direction.
[Tittle Acquired: Little Dragon]
Stupid system.
I nodded in agreement, knowing well there was some doubt against me from a select few of them. Other than that it was a solid deal, I can continue leveling up and even evolving in this pathway in life. It may be short and our connections may depart from one another, but in the present this would perhaps be the best course to live and experience with them.
Friends or not, I will make sure to cherish these growing memories as it would be my first connections to other beings other than undeveloped mindset monsters. Yes, this is the best path to take.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
