“I see. Do I know this guy?” Zeke asked as he rejoiced in his mind that she wasn’t taken yet.

“Hm… I’m not going to say anything.” Ventina replied playfully. She didn’t want to tell others who the guy was since she didn’t want external help or anything. She was going to let the decision to date her be Ven’s alone.

“Okay. Then how did you fall for this guy?” Zeke asked as he let out a chuckle.

“Well, I guess it was love at first sight.” Ventina replied as she recalled how they had met.

Ventina was taking a break after going shopping for the whole afternoon at Shinjuku when she was suddenly approached by flashy guy.

“Hey, Beauty~ Are you here alone?” The flashy guy asked as he sat next to her.

Ventina ignored the guy and continued fiddling with her phone.

“Hey! Don’t just ignore me! I’m asking you if you’re here alone!” The flashy guy became irritated when he saw her ignoring him. He grabbed her wrist forcefully, so she would look at him.

“Let me go!” Ventina tried to bristle her wrist but the guy was a lot stronger than her.

Ventina tried to walk away but the guy was so strong that she couldn’t move at all.

The place was so crowded and busy that no one paid attention to her and thus, no one tried to help her out.

Feeling angry, Ventina kicked the flashy guy’s leg as hard as she could in hope of finally being let go but to the guy, her kick wasn’t strong at all.

“Hey, Beauty~ Was that a kick just now? You know ladies shouldn’t fight.” The flashy guy teased her as he tightened her grip.

In fact, this was not the first time Ventina had been picked up on the street like this. Usually, the guy wouldn’t let go no matter what, so she would take them to some alley and eat them there. Scum like these deserve to die. At least that was what she thought. No one was usually bothered to help her too since they didn’t want to get in trouble, so she wasn’t expecting anyone to help her too.

Just as she was about to give in, a young man approached the two of them and shouted, “Sorry! Did I make you wait long?”

The man’s appearance was neat and tidy. His brown hair and yellow eyes made him look gentle and gentlemanly. When Ventina saw him, she felt like her heartstrings were being tugged.

“What are you doing to my girlfriend?!” The brown-haired man asked, glaring at the flashy man menacingly.

“N-No! Nothing, sir! I was just helping her when she tripped, that’s all! Seeing as she’s fine now, I’ll take my leave!” The man quickly apologized as he ran away.

Being someone who had lived through harshness and never really received any love or kindness from anyone, Ventina quickly fell in love with this prince charming of hers.

“I’m so sorry, miss. I saw how troubled you look and couldn’t help but intervene. Hopefully you’re not hurt anywhere?” The man asked as he smiled apologetically.

“N-No…” Ventina replied, feeling a little flushed at the handsome man before her.

“That’s great! I’ll take my leave then. Be more careful next time.” The man said as he turned around to leave.

“W-Wait! Are you busy right now? I’d like to treat you to something as thanks!” Ventina said as she reached out to stop him from walking away.

“It’s okay. I didn’t do anything much.” The man tried to reject her.

“No! I insist! You really helped me there.” Ventina insisted.

“Hmm… Alright then. But it’s my policy to treat girls and not the other way around. Is that fine?” The man gave in.

“But then…”

“It’s fine. It’s my honor to have a drink with such a beauty.” The man insisted on being the one to pay.

“Okay… Can you tell me your name?” Ventina asked, stilling feeling a little flushed.

“The name’s Ven. What about you?” Ven asked in a gentlemanly tone.

“I’m Ventina. Just call me Tina.” Ventina said as she felt a little happy to have his name in her name.

After that, the two of them had a drink at the café and continued shopping together. Somehow, they ended up at the bar and Ventina became really drunk, making the two of them end up at a hotel. As they were both drunk, they fed on each other’s energy for the night. That was when they found out that they were both demons.

Apparently, Ven had gone to the human world to see how Lilica was doing. After that day, the two of them quickly became friends since Ven would come to the human world secretly to check on Lilica.
