Ventina was so shocked at the second kiss that she came back to reality. Was she dreaming? Is this a dream? There’s no way Ven would ever kiss her.

“This is a dream…” Ventina muttered softly under her breath.

However, since Ven was so close to her, he could hear her clearly. Ven revealed a smile and replied gently, “It’s not a dream.”

Ven pulled her in tighter as he sucked on her bare neck gently and bit her skin lightly.

“Ah!” Ventina let out a moan unintentionally.

“See? It hurts a little, right? So, it’s not a dream.” Ven said as he looked her with loving eyes. Now that he knew what he felt for her, he became bolder in his actions.

“Lies! It’s dream!” Ventina shouted as she put her hand on the spot his lips were on just now.

“Why would you say so?” Ven asked, feeling confused as to why Ventina wouldn’t accept his answer.

“The Ven I know would never kiss someone he doesn’t love! Even more so leave a hickey!” Ventina shouted as she freaked out.

“And I’m telling you I love you, okay? This is not a dream. I love you, so I kissed you. Isn’t that normal?” Ven retorted as he carried her to the bed and cuddle her, trapping her in his embrace so she wouldn’t escape.

“No! I don’t believe you! You obviously like Sharon! You even went on a date with her yesterday. I don’t believe that you can change your mind so easily!” Ventina shouted as she struggled to get out of his embrace.

“Actually, there was supposed to be three of us yesterday but Lilica cancelled last minute so only Sharon and I went shopping.” Ven explained as he tightened his arms even more, so she wouldn’t struggle so much.

“Then why didn’t you guys invite me too? You still went on a date with her in the end.” Ventina said as she pouted her lips, feeling jealous.

“That’s… Can I say it’s a secret?” Ven tried to avoid the question. He didn’t want to spoil the surprise for her.

“See?! You obviously don’t love me so why did you have to give me hope…” Ventina said as her eyes became watery.

“I need to handle some stuff first. Can I tell the reason around next week?” Ven tried to calm her down as he felt his heart breaking from the sight of her watery eyes.

“Why does it have to be next week?” Ventina stubbornly asked.

“Umm… Sigh… Fine! We’re preparing a surprise for you! How can I invite you when you’re the one we wanted to surprise?” Ven replied helplessly.

“Huh? What surprise? What’s happening next week anyway?” Ventina asked questioningly.

“You can’t remember? Great! Stay that way! You’ll know what happens on the day itself.” Ven said as he felt relieved that Ventina had forgotten her own birthday.

“What? Tell me what’s happening! You can’t just leave me hanging like that!” Ventina pouted her lips once more, making her look adorable in Ven’s eyes.

“Nope! Not telling you! Anyways, I know that this will kill the mood, but I really need to ask.” Ven seriously said as he changed the topic.

“What?” Ventina asked back.

“You really didn’t spend last night with Zeke, right? You didn’t do anything with him, right?” Ven asked, feeling a little afraid of hearing the answer. He hoped that she had only said that in the spur of the moment to spite him.

“Am I that bad in your eyes? Last night I just returned to the hotel I was staying in. We didn’t do anything.” Ventina replied as she felt a little irritated that Ven would question her like that.

“Of course not! It’s good that nothing happened between you two. I was just feeling a little anxious since we did do it together the first day we met. There was also the one night stands too.” Ven replied as he sighed a sigh of relief.

“That was just because I needed to feed on their energy. You also know how much I despise humans.” Ventina replied then continued softly, “And… I did that to you because I fell in love with you at first sight….”

Ventina didn’t want to confess that she had fell in love at first sight with him since it was embarrassing to talk about such things at this age.

However, the person hearing that was the opposite. Ven felt happy that he was special to her ever since they first met. It made him so happy that he tightened his embrace unknowingly.

“Ouch! Don’t hug me so tightly!” Ventina let out a yelp.

“Sorry. I was so happy.” Ven replied as he smiled brightly and kissed her on the lips passionately.

Ventina returned his kiss as she felt her heart warm up to him. She was finally together with him.

Back at the palace

It was already morning and Lilica soon woke up groggily, only to be faced with Kazuya’s affectionate stare next to her.

“Good morning.” Lilica said as she dived into his chest for a cuddle.

“Good morning.” Kazuya replied in his husky voice which sounded very sexy to Lilica.

“Why are seducing me so early in the morning?” Lilica said as she reached moved in closer to kiss him.

“I didn’t do anything though.” Kazuya replied with a chuckle as he returned her kiss.

“Fine. I’m at fault for having such thoughts so early in the morning.” Lilica replied playfully as she continued hugging him lovingly.

“What a coincidence, I’m having such thoughts too.” Kazuya replied with his usual charming smile which seemed so radiant against the morning sun ray that came from the window.

“Then let’s do it!” Lilica playfully said as she climbed on top of him.

“No. Now that our child has gotten older, we need to be more careful.” Kazuya said as he glanced at the little bump on her stomach.

“Hmm… But I want you….” Lilica helplessly said as she looked at him with puppy eyes.

“Fine. You win. But we’re only doing it three times, okay?” Kazuya made a condition. He was really scared of losing the baby since the enemy was closing in on them now. He didn’t want to cause any possible harm to his wife and child.

“Okay!” Lilica readily agreed since she had more ways to make him surrender later.
