After a while, the two of them were finally ready to greet the elders. Lilica went out of the room first before Kazuya followed her. However, as she opened the door, she saw a maid rushing towards her at a very fast speed. At that moment, Lilica saw a sharp object in the maid’s hands. It was a knife! Not only that, it was directed towards her protruding stomach!

Lilica instinctively covered her stomach as she closed her eyes in fear. However, after a few seconds, the pain that she thought would come didn’t come. Lilica slowly opened her eyes and found that she was back inside the room and that the maid was now on the floor, unable to move.

Kazuya had pulled her into the room when he noticed that something was wrong. When he saw that his wife was already safe, he quickly used magic to subdue the maid.

Lilica looked at the maid and found out that she was one of the maids that had dressed her yesterday! So, what that woman said was true? There were really spies? Kazuya called for the trusted guards to take this maid to the dungeon for interrogation later.

Lilica felt a chill ran down her spine. She was almost stabbed again! What was with everyone, trying to stab her.

“Are you okay?” Kazuya asked when he saw her alarmed expression.

“I’m fine. I was just scared.” Lilica replied. She wasn’t as shocked as she was when she was nearly stabbed the first time. Was she gradually getting used to this?

“Do you want to cancel the meeting?” Kazuya asked as he felt worried for her.

“No need. We should just continue on. I don’t want the others to be worried.” Lilica replied determinedly.

Kazuya gave in and agreed to continue on with the meeting. The couple went to the ballroom where both families were gathering together. Lilica didn’t have any grandparents since they had passed away from illness before she was even born. So, her family side only contained her parents, her two uncles and their families.

From Kazuya’s side, Kazuya’s grandparents, his parents, Kazuki and Lilienne, and his other relatives, including Ken.

Lilica didn’t really get along with her cousins so she just nodded to them as a greeting. Her first uncle was a relatively quiet person, so she had never really talked to him too. Her second uncle’s daughter was only four years old, meaning she was born after Lilica had went to the human world, so she had never talked to her before. Lilica was someone who didn’t really like dealing with kids so she had never really cared about this girl but as she was now expecting, she suddenly felt like she should train herself so she would be used to kids.

Kazuya placed his hands on Lilica’s waist as he guided her to greet everyone in order. There were way too much people from Kazuya’s side that Lilica couldn’t remember all their names, so she left everything to Kazuya.

The first people they had to greet were of course, the former king and queen. The former queen didn’t mind the fact that the couple were late since she knew that it was probably because of her dear grandson. All the male in this family had apparently inherited her husband’s possessiveness and perverseness.

“Grandfather. Grandmother.” The couple greeted in sync.

The former king and queen nodded, greeting back the two of them.

“So, how’s the child coming along?” Kazuya’s grandfather asked. It seems like he couldn’t wait to play with his greatgrandchild.

“Grandfather, there’s still 7 months left until it will be born.” Kazuya reminded his grandfather with a stern face, apparently already possessive of his future daughter. He was already sure that it was going to be a daughter.

“Sigh… Why are my grandsons so boring?” the former king sighed disappointingly.

“Kazuki also made the same face as you when I asked about his child.” He continued as he shook his head disappointingly. Why were these twins so possessive of their wife and children?

Everyone chuckled at his words. The former queen then said in a gentle tone, “Lilica, if you meet any difficulties during pregnancy, don’t hesitate to consult me. This old lady knows a few tricks that may help be able to help you.”

The former queen was a vampire that excelled in healing magic. She was the best doctor in the demon realm during her prime years. Now, she is retired and living peacefully with her husband who loved to go on honeymoons just so they could stay alone together.

“Yes, grandmother. Actually, I have something to consult with you.” Lilica replied, glancing at Kazuya a little.

The former queen noticed this slight action of hers and knew that it was something difficult to talk to in front of Kazuya.

“Kazuya, I’ll be borrowing your wife for a while. Keep the guests entertained.” The former queen said as she took Lilica’s hand and led her to a quiet area to sit and talk.

Kazuya didn’t react in time to stop his grandmother, so his wife was taken away.

“So, what did you want to talk with me about?” Kazuya’s grandmother asked kindly.

“Umm… Well…” Lilica couldn’t bring herself to say the words that bothered her since last night. She started blushing slightly.

Kazuya’s grandmother knew almost immediately what she was going to talk about, so she said, “We’re both girls so no need to be shy. Sex is a normal thing in marriage life.”

At that word, Lilica blushed even more before she resolved herself to ask in a quiet voice, “Well, I just noticed this last night… When Kazuya… umm… came… I felt my stomach churn for a moment…”

“Did he come inside you?”

“Yes…” Lilica’s face was now bright red.

“Let me see your stomach for a moment.” Kazuya’s grandmother said as she led Lilica to an empty room so Lilica could lift her dress up for her to see her stomach.
