Seeing her worried look, Kazuya forced a smile to console her as he whispered, “I’m fine. You don’t need to make such a pained face.”

“Stop smiling! I know it must hurt, right? You don’t need to force yourself around me.” Lilica pouted as she reached out to touch his handsome face. As soon as her fingers touched his face, she could feel that his skin was burning hot!

Lilica looked around and found a clean cloth and quickly ran to the bathroom. After a few seconds, she came back with the wet cloth and swiftly tried to lessen his body temperature.

Kazuya wanted to tell her that she didn’t need to do that, but he couldn’t say anything as the pain crept up. He didn’t want her to take care of him, especially when she was pregnant since it may tire her out. But he could only grit his teeth from the pain and frustration.

“Do you feel better?” Lilica asked as she wiped his face and body continuously, worry filling her heart.

“Maybe if wifey stopped seducing me, the fire in my body would be gone.” Kazuya joked. She had indeed been wiping his body up and down, which somehow made him in the mood. Maybe it was because he could see her cleavage from this angle quite clearly. The sight of it was just too enticing to him.

“What are you even thinking at a time like this?!” Lilica hit him lightly as her ears turned red. How could he joke about when she was seriously worried for him?

“Ouch! Wifey~ Don’t hit me~ I’m still in pain~” Kazuya said in a childish tone.

“Are you okay? Does it hurt that much?” Lilica asked as she frowned. Did she hit him that hard?

“If wifey kisses me, the pain will fly away!” Kazuya replied as he revealed his charming smile. The pain had slightly subsided already so he could joke around now.

“You…” Lilica was speechless. Did lifting the spell make his brain turn back into that of a child’s? But this childish side of him is quite cute too…

Lilica then lowered her head to kiss his forehead before she played along, “Is the pain gone now?”

“No! I need a kiss on the lips!” Kazuya said as he pulled her head so he could kiss her.

The couple shared a kiss for about a minute, leaving the queen who was worried at first speechless. Your mother’s still on the phone, okay? Can’t you flirt later?! The queen then hung up and went to search for her husband to tell him of how ungrateful her son was.

In a medical room in the palace

Kazuki couldn’t sleep the whole night since he was worried about Lilienne. She hadn’t woken up at all the whole night and this made him felt very worried. Although the doctor said that they had only knocked her out and that her life wasn’t in danger, he still felt worried.

He had held her hand for the whole night and stared at her pale little face for a very long time.

Suddenly, he felt a light tug on his hand. She had regained consciousness! Kazuki quickly called the doctor to check up on her.

“…? Kazuki? What happened?” Lilienne asked when she woke up. She had felt like she was in a very long dream.

The first thing that came into sight was Kazuki’s worried face. Was something wrong with her? Why was he looking so worriedly at her?

“Lily! Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?” Kazuki asked as he started panicking a little. They really didn’t do anything to her, right?

“I’m fine. What’s wrong? Why am I here? Wasn’t I in the courtyard?” Lilienne asked when she realized that she couldn’t remember what had happened after she saw Kazuki last night.

“You were kidnapped by the enemy last night but luckily, they just knocked you out. You were rescued back by the guards after that.” Kazuki replied honestly when he saw that she was clear headed and didn’t seem to be in any pain.

“I see.” Lilienne replied as she felt relieved. At least nothing had happened to her little baby.

“That right! Doctor, can we check the baby’s gender?” Lilienne suddenly asked the doctor. Although she couldn’t quite remember what she had dreamed about, she felt like in the dream, she had met a boy who continuously gave her encouragement and led her to the only light amidst the darkness. This made her think of her baby. Was the boy back then her baby?

“Why so suddenly? I thought we weren’t going to check it so we could anticipate the baby’s gender.” Kazuki asked, feeling surprised. He had asked her for so many times and she refused to check the baby’s gender. Why did she suddenly change her mind?

“I’m just curious. Plus, you also suggested checking the gender many times before, right? Knowing the gender of our baby will also make preparing things easier, no?” Lilienne replied with a gentle smile. If her baby was really a boy, then that would mean that the boy in her dream might’ve been him! If that boy was really her child, she would surely be a doting mother! “Since you’re already on your 6th month, checking the gender of the baby is possible.” The doctor replied.

“Okay. Kazuki, let’s make a bet. If the baby’s a boy, you need to allow me to go hiking after the child is boron and the enemy is caught. If it’s a girl, I’ll listen to you about not going hiking anymore.” Lilienne suggested. It seems like she was still bitter about Kazuki prohibiting her from going hiking. It was her favorite hobby!

The doctor nodded and led the couple to another room so they could ultrasound to check the baby’s gender.
