After a while, the doctor was done preparing the necessary equipment. Lilienne laid down on the bed as she allowed the doctor to examine her. Soon, the monitor showed a picture of her baby.

The doctor looked at the screen and said, “Congratulations, your baby is a healthy baby boy!”

Lilienne looked at Kazuki and smirked victoriously. This meant that she could now go hiking again!

“Did you see correctly, doctor? It must be a girl! I’ve already bought girl clothes for my child!” Kazuki asked the doctor. He had prepared a whole wardrobe for his baby! He had even ordered some more clothes and toys for girls the day before! If the baby was a boy, all his hard work would be in vain!

“First Prince, the baby is really a boy. You can clearly see from the scan.” The doctor replied truthfully.

“Noooo! My daughter!” Kazuki exclaimed as he felt shocked, completely forgetting his bet with Lilienne. Only thoughts about the clothes and toys filled his mind.

“It’s a boy, see? That means I won the bet! Don’t forget your promise!” Lilienne reminded him. Although she felt a little bad when she saw how shocked he looked, her hobby was also important to her.

“Lily… Can we have another child after he’s born? I still want a daughter!” Kazuki sweetly begged. If they had a daughter, then clothes could still be used.

“No! I told you that I don’t want more children, right? Just one is enough! I don’t want to have many children, or they may fight for the throne in the future. Plus, our next child might not be a girl.” Lilienne replied stubbornly. She could tell the pain of having a sibling from playing with the twins since childhood. She could tell that Kazuya had a mild inferior complex. She didn’t want her children to be like that so having just one child was enough.

Kazuki just looked at Lilienne with his bright eyes, as if saying, “Please~”

“You can give the clothes and toys you bought to Lilica’s children. I don’t know if it’s going to be girl or not but she’s having twins so there’s a chance that one of them is a girl.” Lilienne suggested.

“How did you know that I bought the clothes and toys?” Kazuki was surprised. He had been secretly buying them so he could surprise her when the baby was born!

“Do you really think you can keep secrets from me? Just looking at your satisfied face whenever you made a purchase is enough to tell me what you bought. I even know about the fact that the room next to our bedroom is being renovated for the baby!” Lilienne uncovered his secret surprise for her nonchalantly.

“What!” Kazuki exclaimed. How did she even know about the baby’s room?

“Anyways, don’t forget our bet! You need to let me go hiking!” Lilienne reminded him once again.

“…Fine, but you need to take me with you every time you go hiking. I’m worried.” Kazuki gave in.

“Okay.” Lilienne obediently nodded. It was not like she wanted to enjoy hiking alone. Perhaps having him accompany her may make the trip even more fun!

After about an hour, Kazuya was finally able to move his body freely. The pain had considerably subsided, making him feel alive again after laying down for so long.

“Kazuya, are you still going to continue running the company?” Lilica asked when she realized that she was still his employee.

“Well, probably. I can’t be absent for too long or the other employees will start to feel suspicious, although I believe there are spies in the company too. You can either quit and be a housewife or continue working together with me. The choice is yours.” Kazuya replied. He knew that Lilica was wondering if she should go back to working for him.

“Hmm… What do you want me to do?” Lilica asked as she couldn’t decide.

“Personally, I want to always be with you so it would be better if you didn’t quit. But if you’re tired of working then you can quit.” Kazuya replied as he hugged her affectionately from the back.

“Then I’ll stay. I don’t want to be separate from you too. If the enemy plots something against us, I can help you think of a solution anytime.” Lilica replied back as she snuggled closer to him like a kitten.

“Okay. I was planning on going back to the office starting tomorrow. You can move your stuff from your office into my office. I want to work in the same room as you.” Kazuya said as he stroked her hair lovingly. Starting tomorrow, he can finally experience the thrill of office romance!
