In one-week time, the atmosphere in the city of Vizima became strange. The rowdy dwarfs became quiet; the half-elves became strangely friendly to dwarfs making the head of various groups confuse in head or tails in what’s going on.
The various spy tries to search for news in the districts for a possible coup of non-human but found none of the sorts. They want to search the bottom of these non-human but they were soon busy, the battle was soon to ferment between Temaria and Nilfgaard empire became heated pan making the various groups busy on their preparations for war, but they send a small group of spies to monitor them still.
-
“Prepare?”
“Aye, we have already prepared everything to this day”
“Good, I already informed you their numbers, there were few mages, but I think you can handle them if you work together, make it fast and loot the place then leave. Don’t forget documents as evidence.”
“I know what to do, just relax and enjoy your uhhh…thing”
He scratches his head as he looks at Illyah who was using her mouth to write.
“Come now darling, time to eat”
Leah put a bowl down and grab a wooden spoon, she scoops a lump of meat and began to feed her.
“Whatever, better check those son-of-bitches.” Yarpen mutter
-
At night, the flaming torch on the wall illuminates the Vizima city. Guards with torch were patrolling the street as they look at every alley.
“Looks like it’s going to rain tonight,” a guard said looking at the dark clouds in the sky.
“My missus must be missing my warm embrace, well such fate as we patrol this damn street every day, I’m getting tired of this shite hole.”
“Shh, be careful what you spoke, there must be someone listening to us and may report us to reverend”
“Will reverend will care for two patrolling guards? He must be rolling the sheet with a young miss right now.”
The other guard just didn’t say anything and continue their patrol.
When they pass the alley, the shadow began to move traveling in the night until they arrive at the front of the house.
“Is this the place?”
“According to Yarpen, it must be.” a small figure scratches his head.
“Well whatever, open it”
The dwarf's companion grabs a key to his pocket and put in the doorknob, after turning it, it clicked.
“It open”
“Hurry and open it you arsehole, the guards are coming back!” the dwarf scold his partner
He opens it, and they both enter and close it again immediately.
Both dwarfs look around vigilantly.
“What now?”
“Well, grab everything we find worthy and valuable, if we found someone, kill them. Simple as that”
“Alright”
They began looking around, looting golds and papers. They found some barrel of potions and herbs but decided against it.
“According to Yarpen, if we didn’t found anything worthwhile, just burn the house.”
“Well…We did find anything worth coins and papers so…burn it?”
They look at each other and nod.
“Okay, let’s start.”
-
In other places.
Yarpen look at the dead bodies around him among them was Gellert Bleinheim, an infamous drug lord.

His dwarf companions start gathering everything around them; coins, jewelry, and papers.
“They are filthy rich!” a dwarf looks awe at the shiny gold coins they manage to find around the room.
“Boss look what we found!”
Yarpen frown when he saw a familiar powder.
“Where did you find it?”
“Corpse” the dwarf points at Gellert.
“Destroy that thing, don’t let me know you attempted to hide it from me or I’ll tan your hide!”
“Y-yes!”
Yarpen looks at the powder being burned alongside the corpse.
“I shouldn't be surprised they have fisstech here” he murmurs frowning at the burning powder
Fisstech is some kind of narcotic drug, which is very familiar in the underworld. It was a dangerous substance that can give people a temporary state of euphoria but in exchange, the user will experience irritation of mood and delusion.
Various kingdoms have stated a rule that any individuals who use this kind of substance will be punished heavily. Although the kingdom forbids the drug sale, the underworld was booming with business with this thing, making it popular to young lords and crime syndicate.
After cleaning up the room, Yarpen looks around carefully to make sure they didn’t miss anything before they immediately retreat because they have other places to fry.
-
Various places in Vizima were currently under the attack of the dwarf's group, fire rose in different directions making the order of Vizima surprise and panic at the sudden attack.
The whole Vizima became alive and alerted in the sudden fire outbreak everywhere, waking up every citizen who was sleeping peacefully.
A man wearing steel armor, with cropped brown hair and a brown mustache, arrive at the scene. He watches as the fire burns a house.
“Find out what’s going on, and send all the available soldiers immediately.”
“Understood”
Jacques de Aldersberg look at the beacon of flame everywhere, he grips his fist, he can feel his heart pulsating with nervousness for some reason at all.
-
Outskirt in the Vizima city.
In the village, on the night of the full moon, when the villages were sleeping quietly, a massacre was currently happening at the hideout of Salamandra.
Various bandits and criminals were being slaughtered by arrows. Rouge mages trying to defend themselves to sudden attack and other crooks trying to escape only to end up by a shot in the head.
A bald man wearing brown tight leather armor with two daggers in his front was controlling a frightener, a giant mantis-like creature with two large scythes making it wield its sharp weapon across the battlefield.
“Don’t get near it, elf archers continue to shoot it with silver. Mages, use sound magic to disrupt it.” Viritia command
The archer keeps shooting at the monster head, when the frightener attempt to approach them, the archers run far and the elf mages sing magically, making the frighteners shook giving a chance to close combat elf to get near and attack its vital spot.
“Bastards!” he watches as the poor beast was slaughtered by elves using a silver sword.
Savolla can feel his control to the creature was getting weak, thinking of this, he turns around to run but-

An elf suddenly appeared before him, before he can react, she already pierces him in the chest making him stiff. He looks up at her and stares unwillingly.
Viritia has withdrawn her sword and move out of the way. She watches as the mage falls.
“Screech!”
“Finish it, then burn this place to the ground.”
“Yes!”
With its final breath, the creature’s screeches with its last strength then collapse on silver arrows covering its body.
-
Outside the Vizima city, a more brutal cleaning up was happening. The leaders of Salamandra were being taken one by one; the bandit Dmitri and the drug lord Roland have their heads rolling in the ground in marshes. The elves didn’t show mercy but they didn’t attack innocent people who are not involved in Salamandra because they despise killing innocent without reason.
After making sure Yarpen and Zoltan have already clean up the majority of Salamandra’s hideout inside the district, it can be said that its influence here in Vizima temple was no more than a history.
-
On Joan's front was a mountain of documents pile up together, Yarpen and Zoltan look at each other.
“Shall we burn it? We can't let it stay in the open, the soldiers must be searching every house right now.”
“Wait.”
Joan close her eyes and imagine the documents transferring to her dimensional cube. Suddenly the documents disappeared making the two dwarf gawk.
“What the- “
“Magic?”
“Bring me the gold coins and jewelry”
They hesitated for a bit but in the end, they pool the gold and jewelry together on the wooden table, just like the documents, the golds and jewelry disappeared before their eyes.
“Now I want you to change clothes, I don’t want soldiers getting ideas. Then bring me all your bloody things, I’ll store it for you temporarily. I'll bring it back afterward."
The two follow her instruction and enter their room, soon they already change into a new dress, they brought their things with them.
They put it and the table and waited until it disappeared.
She sigh
“Jacques de Aldersberg must be shitting on his pants right now if he knew all the Salamandra was killed ha!” Yarpen chuckle as he imagines the famous leader of flaming rose shitting in his pants.
“Before that, we must avoid directing evidence against us. Did they change clothes before they came home?”
“Relax, I already plan it. Those clothes were in the right hand.”
“I sure hope so” she mutters
-
The next day, the fire finally died down thanks to the mage who came that night.
Then the soldiers start investigating the cause of the fire and found a burnt corpse in some house. They tried to identify them but failed. But some on the High districts house has been burned, for example, the famous alchemist name Vencel Pugg and another one is Louise Merse, a royal Burgo master.
These two were quite renowned to their circle, but the death of Louise Merse has given them a great blow to their security.
Louise was a man with dignity and integrity which sadden the upper class in the loss of an exceptional royal Burgo.
Bernard Loredo, cousin of Lousie Merse, upon learning the death of his cousin, has demand the court for justice and immediate action so Lousie's soul can rest in peace.
Immediately, the series of investigation starts in Vizima, searching every house for evidence, causing distraught on civilians.
The investigation of non-human was even more rigorous, using more brutal way interrogation, they tried to pry information on them. Sadly, they failed to gather enough evidence because no non-human was willing to talk.
-
Two weeks after the incident of Salamandra’s attack, the soldiers guard still guarding tightly and patrolling everywhere but they were more inclined on guarding the Quarter district as they believe that non-human has a hand on this.
On the night, a familiar shadow cloak figure arrives at the house and open it. When she entered the room, the trio was already waiting for her which make her startled.
“How come you already know I will come?”
“I can detect you miles away from here,” Joan said smiling
“Tsk, what a dangerous ability.” Then she pulls out the scrolls and gives it to her.
“This is the scroll we gather.”
“Excellent work”
“So what’s next?” Viritia asks curiously
Suddenly, a scroll appears out of thin air, she subconsciously catches it.
“I need you to deliver it to our dear King Foltest of Temeria, he will find it…fascinating”
The elf woman opens the scroll and looks at the content. She can see a list of names.
“This is?”
“Names of Fisstech contributors”
The elves bulge her eyes looking at the long list.
“Well…This was a surprise even for me.”
Then scroll after scroll fall to her hands.
“And this?” she points bewildered
“Evidence.”
The elves look at it and read them carefully. She began to smile and chuckle until she was laughing like a madwoman. Then after a few minutes, she chokes and smiles viciously, far from gentle and virtuous elf woman
“Haha, excellent! This is worth the effort. My brothers and sister will be happy with this information surely.”
Bernard Loredo;
He was a commandant of a town in flotsam, in public, he maintains the image of fair and benevolent, but it was just a cover. The truth is, he was downright rotten. Contrary to his image, he used his position to get bribe on people, like the trading post and the unlawful confiscation of goods. Although many people know his deeds, not one dares to speak of him fearing he will retaliate and kill them.
He also has a prejudice against non-human as he was using every excuse to make non-human suffer the penalty.
Right now she was very happy because they have now a weapon that can destroy that pig that discriminated against her brothers and sisters. It can be said that he was one of those enemies they want to kill the most.
