《World Integration》Chapter 9: The Ragnarok Event

Albert Lee then told the guys over the live video group chat about his immediate stats growth after the short working out session.
He said so rather excitedly, whilst giving off the aura of a smug child, seeing the curved smile plastered on his face, almost like he wanted to say something. "Hey, guys. My stats have risen slightly after the short workout session. It's not much though."
The guys' attention within the live video group chat call is then immediately ignited, as Damien Blake is definitely the first one to raise his voice.
"Really, by how much?" He hurriedly asks Albert Lee over the live video group call.
Albert Lee then immediately answered Damien Blake's inquiry, without a second thought. As the answers were simple and short, no need to go into immediate extreme detail. "Roughly, around 0.1 to 0.3 in terms of stats growth in some random stats attribute, mainly strength and agility."
"Well, that is not much. It's nothing noteworthy to mention at." Gerald Quin said so over the live video group call, lightly shrugs it off.
And Anik Mahmud then automatically intervenes, as he said. "There's no need to be such a downer Gerald. This way it will be alot easier for us to gauge our strengths and body fitness through training for the upcoming Ragnarok event."
In the meantime, as the countdown timer continues to trickle by slowly, Albert Lee then continues to work out and exercise in order to raise his own physical attribute stats.
On the other hand, Dave Rost, Gerald Quinn, and Damien Blake continue to chat amongst each other over the live video group call.
Samir Sahid seems to be off within his own for some reason. Looking down physically on his phone for some reason. It would seem that he was just surfing the Internet on his phone, nothing noteworthy to attract the attention of the other guys.
Meanwhile, following Albert Lee's good example, Anik Mahmud then started to do some light exercise to slowly get his slightly chubby body into shape. Fitness body training.
In the following half, an hour leading up to the world-changing Ragnarok event, Albert Lee and Anik Mahmud has managed to successfully increase his by a total of three to four overall stats point, which is certainly nothing major nor amazing, but when your life is put on the life or in danger. Every necessarily little thing can easily help bolster up your chances of survival in the end.
Ding!
The sounds of the notification screen as numerous blue screen then pops up in front of him, one after another.

(!) System Notification Through vigorous training and exercise, your strength attribute stat has slowly risen by 0.3 points! (!) System Notification Through vigorous training and exercise, your dexterity attribute stat has slowly risen by 0.1 points! (!) System Notification Through vigorous training and exercise, your agility attribute stat has slowly risen by 0.1 points!
'Status!' Albert Lee then recited the keyword inside of his head, as his status screen then shows up.
Status Screen Name: Albert E. Lee Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Human Level: 001 Main Class: {Electromancer} Subclass: N/A Guild: N/A Affiliations: N/A Hidden Aliases: Combat Potential: 19 Grade: F- Titles: {Otaku}{NEET}{Friend of Loki} Stats/Attributes Health Point: 24/24 Hunger Point: 29/39.3 Stamina Point: 22/39.3 Energy Point: 42 Strength: 7.3 Intelligence: 8 Agility: 7 Wisdom: 9 Endurance: 10 Willpower: 6 Defence: 3 Perception: 5 Dexterity: 8 Charm: 2 Vitality: 4 Luck: 4 Spirit: 19 Fame: 25 0 Unallocated Stats Points System Store Points: 0
'My stats have risen slightly enough to increase my overall combat potential by three points. Though that does not change much since my grade is still rated F- the weakest of the evaluation possible by the system.' Albert Lee thought so to himself, whilst starting at his status screen intensely.
As the countdown timer for the Ragnarok event reaches much closer to zero, and when it falls under the minute margin, a big change then occurred.
Everyone that is classified as living, whether they are man, beast, fish, a plant or even microbes, single-cell organism. They would all hear a loud beeping noise resounded deeply withinside their heads, counting down from sixty to zero seconds.
3... 2... 1... 0!
And when the countdown timer has reached zero. There was a loud single mechanical beep that resounded in everyone's head in unison, at the same time, the Earth and their surroundings began to rumble shaking uncontrollably.
"It's an earthquake!" Anik Mahmud shouted over the live video group call, as everyone within the friend group then looked on with visibly dark expressions.
'It has begun...' Albert Lee thought so to himself, as he then tries his best to regain his footing over the longstanding earthquake.
The Earth was shaking tremendously, as at the same time, all around the world, rifts and portals that connect Earth to another place in a small pocket dimension known as dungeons began to appear all over the continent, whether it is on land, under the seabed, or even in the sky appearing as a floating island.
The dungeon was simply multiplying like roaches as if you saw one single cockroach in the kitchen, more would soon follow. It was inevitable.

When the dungeon has spawned and gained a stable footing and a proper environment to completely stabilized after the transfer. The doors to the lower level dungeons began to slowly creak open, as hordes of monsters began to pour out from the in suing dungeons began to wreak havoc in the big major cities.
And once the shaking has completely stopped and the earthquake has somewhat subsided, Albert Lee then began to quickly recover to a near-perfect state, able to think clearly by himself.
With the extreme headache, after the countdown timer has reached zero, having completely subsided after some time has passed.
Albert Lee then thought so to himself, 'The world-changing Ragnarok event has begun.'
It was at this time, outside of his house, a couple of distances away from his home, that he unknowingly heard someone screaming and it sounded quite terrifying.
'What was that?' Albert Lee thought so to himself as he has an anxious look on his face.
He quickened on his feet, and then immediately went straight towards his bedroom window to check and see what was going on outside.
It was at this moment in time that Albert Lee's body was visibly shaken, terrified at what he saw, his face has gone ghastly pale, almost like has lost alot of blood.
From what he saw, a group of Kobolds, around six or seven Kobold in one pact has managed to escape from a nearby dungeon. They were now busy killing any nearby spectators, human that unfortunately manages to enter their line of sight.
The Kobolds with their large man-sized claws, tearing through the person's numerous layers of clothing and leaving a deep gash on that person's skin and chest area. As blood splattered aimlessly on the ground and pavement, his internal intestines are then exposed to the air in plain sight to behold.
That said person was still alive and kicking, barely hanging onto his dear life, whilst quickly nearing death's door as he is steadily losing alot of blood.
"Augh!" That said person who was being clawed at by a Kobold, then screams in agony at the top of his lungs, as a result of the inflicted fatal wound.
And fearing for his dear life, he tries to run away but was unfortunately caught in mere seconds. As the Kobold then grabs ahold of the injured man with its large hands, gripping him intensely with its vice-like grip. And with its canine-like dog mouth steadily opening wide, it then took a huge bite out of that said person's shoulder.
That said person was then manhandled by the strong Kobold to the ground. Not before being eaten alive, his muffled screaming being outdo by the Kobold's loud wailing and howling.
The Kobold are creatures that resemble traditional werewolves, being bipedal it can stand on two feet, whilst at the same time, it can go on all four for better land manoeuvrability and movement speed.
Its overall physical strength greatly exceeds that of an average human being. With an Elder Kobold or Alpha Kobold being able to easily go toe on toe in a one on one fight with a Dire Bear and could possibly beat a Dire Bear in a fight. And its sense of smell is several times stronger than a human much like a dog. The goes for its perfect hearing able to detect sound over large distances and high-frequency noises.
The pack of Kobold easily massacred a group of teenagers near a grass field by the neighbourhood. The children were busy playing football previously, before the countdown timer struct zero. It thereby causes the group of boys to be extremely disoriented and experiencing a headache.
So when the pact of Kobolds did spawn from a nearby dungeon. The disorientated group of boys were left easy picking for the Kobolds. They could never outrun the Kobolds due to their high land manoeuvrability.
At the same time, the group of disoriented kids could not be able to put up an easy fight, as they were easily overpowered by the pact of Kobolds.
Even if they were by chance to have armed themselves with modern-day firearms. The chances are of facing a pact of a full-grown male adult Kobolds and surviving the fight are pretty slim.
As the bullets coming from a pistol fired at a male adult Kobold. It definitely pierced through the Kobold's thick skin and packed muscles. A single bullet does not kill a bear, the same applies for a full-grown male adult Kobold unless it's a bullet straight to the head immediately destroying the brain.
'Holy shit! That pack of Werewolves just ripped the group of kids to shreds and they are eating them.' Albert Lee's face was ghastly pale, seeing it happened in real life right before your eyes, it's completely different from seeing it on live television.
The experience is completely different, it's like comparing watching a Youtube video in 360p to 1080p HD. The graphics and video quality are extremely lifelike, almost like you are actually there, witnessing the entire thing.

Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.
