《Fate/Survivor》02-Showdown At Rooftop!

Currently me and Eva are walking down the street to her school. Damn schools! I never thought I would be admitted with her to a school.
“So, you told me you will explain to me that what this Holy Grail war is all about?” I ask her with curiosity building inside me.
“Holy Grail, a wish granting omnipotent Grail, it is said that it can grant any wish. Even wishes that are impossible to grant. A total of seven Masters summon seven heroic legends as servants to fight instead of them for the war and the remaining one’s they win get one of their wish granted.” Eva explains to me.
“So basically, you and me if we win we can get our wish granted?” I ask Eva. Eva nods with a hum.
Eva looks at me with deadly stinging eyes. “As a servant you should know all about this. Why do I, your Master need to give you details about the Holy Grail?” Eva asks me.
I look away thinking only if I knew about all this Holy Grail bullshit.
“But why do I have to go to school with you?” I ask Eva. “Jeez, do you need everything spoon-fed to you?” Eva looks at my clueless face and sighs.
“Other Masters might attack me at the school, so I need you to be with me just in case.” Eva replies to my question.
“Why would they attack you? Isn’t this the war about servants?” I ask Eva. Eva sighs, “You are a really clueless servant. Basically, if the servant’s Master dies than the servant can no longer live in this world and will vanish once and forever as there will be no mana supply for the servant.” Eva replies to me.
“I see…” I have to protect Eva then huh? This is going to be a really tough challenge as I know that there are going to be legendary heroes I always read about.
We finally reach our school and it’s definitely a huge one. Japanese schools for sure are huge as hell.
“Wait, you don’t know my name so how did you register it in the school?” I ask Eva.
“I named you Akira because I thought you were going to be an intelligent servant but you are a complete amateur and an idiot.” Eva says to me. I definitely don’t understand the term Akira but I have heard many males in Japan have that name. I sigh.

Eva and me, we walk down a corridor inside the school. A girl in red top and black twin-tail passes by me…What was that strange presence I felt? I turn behind to look at that girl. I don’t know what it is, but I felt a really strange presence near her…Something really strong like it was protecting her.
“What are you looking at?” Eva asks me as kept on staring at that girl. “Nothing…” I replied as I wasn’t sure of it yet.
That girl, I figured out few things from our class about her. Her name was Rin Tohsaka, from the second year class. That means she is about the same age as Eva huh?
At lunch break, Eva and I we both head towards the rooftop where Eva begins to have her lunch. While I sit down and think about why was I feeling that strange presence? Can it be she has a servant that I can sense but not see?
“Hey Eva! Can servants mask their presence?” I ask Eva. “Sure if the Masters wants the servant to mask their presence they can but it does consume a lot of mana.” Eva replies to me.
“Why didn’t you mask my presence then?” I ask Eva. “Because you aren’t consuming my mana.” Eva replies to me. “Wait what?! I am confused!”
“I know it sounds quite confusing to me too but even I have no clue why you don’t consume my mana even after you are my servant.” Eva says to me with a puzzled tone and a puzzled look.
I sense something! I quickly run towards Eva and grab her to a side as something *SMASH* destroys the fence.
“Damn! I missed a chance at taking you down early.” A person stands right in front of me on the tank and he holds a golden spear.
“Didn’t expect a lancer class to show up and attack at an open school where there are people.” Eva says with a smirk.
“Who the fuck cares about people?! I am only here so that I can kill you and your servant once and for all.” Lancer says to us.
“You really think you can take on me?” I ask Lancer with full confidence.
“You are quite cocky boy. I wonder which class you belong to.” The Lancer says to me with a smirk.

“I wonder too.” I respond to him as a golden dagger appears out in my hand. I didn’t understand how I did it but somehow my reflexes said that I could do it.
“Really? Are you an assassin class servant?” Lancer asks me.
“Who knows? Maybe I maybe assassin or maybe not.” I reply to him.
“Alright assassin, bring it on!” The Lancer leaps towards me and attacks me with his long ranged spear changing into a sword.
“Huh?! A sword changing spear?!” I hold my dagger at the wrong side and *TING* deflect the lance with it. Then I touch the sword with a strong palm and aim for Lancer’s neck. Lancer barely dodges.
Lancer’s POV,
His fast!
I continue to exchange attacks with him as my sword and his dagger clash at unimaginable speed. *Ting* *Ting* *Ting*
Eva’s POV,
Who is my servant? His so fast and agile not to mention, that he seems to be an assassin.
Akira’s POV,
I block the lance coming at my face with my dagger and get pushed back. “I didn’t want to use it as it may give away my identity but I guess I will have to use it as you don’t seem to be an opponent that will go down easily.” Lancer says to me.
“What does that mean?” I ask to the Lancer whose sword turns back into a spear.
“Normally, I would prefer not to go to a battlefield but this was my Master’s order hence I have to kill you but before that. What is your name boy?” He asks me.
“Kill me? I ask again, do you really think you can kill me?” This moment…It seems something from my past…Something I had done before…
Lancer takes a stance like he is about to throw a spear.
Eva’s POV,
Is that Lancer’s Noble Phantasm?! Is he going to use the Noble Phantasm? But Akira isn’t even injured yet so how is he going to use that throwing spear without even injuring his opponent.
The Lancer, his eye pupil…It moved towards me. “WHO EVER SAID I WAS GOING TO KILL YOU?! DURINDARA!!!!” The lancer throws his spear towards me. Oh no this is bad! I am not quick enough to dodge.
Someone appears right in front of me. It was…Akira…He appeared out of blue and took the blast head on. *Boom*
“HAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA! Any servant would want to protect his Master so it was an obvious move, what a pity! HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Lancer begins to laugh like a maniac.
“Like I said, do you really think you can kill me?” The only thing only Akira that had disappeared was his School Blazer and torn pieces on his school shirt. Otherwise, he didn’t even have a single scratch.
“Ah…Ah…Ah….What?! But how…That was my Noble Phantasm…There is no way you could have…” Lancer looked shocked with Akira surviving his Noble Phantasm.
Suddenly, a gun appears in his left hand. His look was more serious than ever.
“Don’t ever underestimate your opponent. That is the first rule of a battle.” Akira said to Lancer as he points his gun towards Lancer.
“Shit!” Lancer exclaims as Akira fires a huge blast from his gun equivalent of a Noble Phantasm.
Lancer dodges that attack and it goes and hits the fence destroying the fence.
“Tsch! What?! Alright fine, I will return at once.” Lancer spoke to himself and looked back at Akira.
“This fight isn’t over yet, Akira.” The Lancer leaves.
“You are right, this fight is only beginning. I will defeat you and all the other servants. LISTEN EACH AND EVERY SERVANT AND MASTERS STANDING AND WATCHING THIS FIGHT FROM THE DISTANCE WAITING FOR THE OPPURTUNITY TO TAKE US DOWN!” Akira takes a slight breather.
“I AKIRA, ISSUE TO YOU THIS CHALLENGE THAT EVEN IF I DON’T GET THE HOLY GRAIL OR EVEN IF MY MASTER DIES I WILL BEAT THE LIVING FUCK OUT OF YOU ALL! SO BRING ALL YOUR SERVANTS YOU WANT, I will win against each and every one of you piece of shits who fight for this Holy Grail for your own tastes and call yourselves Heroic Spirits.” Akira gives me his hand.
I am confused by what he meant by the heroic spirits own taste but today, he definitely made a lot of enemies.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Totally Not a Chosen Hero
Jesse's life just started to get great. He bought a comfy apartment, received an offer for a six-figure job, and scored a date with the girl of his dreams. But then, parallel world wizards magically kidnapped Jesse alongside a dozen of strangers. Has no one taught them consent?! The emperor and his confidants told Jesse and other earthlings that they were the Chosen Heroes and a bright future awaited them. Bullshit. That they just needed to learn magical combat at the academy, and then defeating Dark Lords would be easy-peasy. Oh yeah? That as long as they completed their sacred duty, they could choose to return to Earth or continue living on Aethelrend as kings and queens. No thanks. While other so-called Heroes were easily tricked by empty promises of power, riches, and even immortality, Jesse knew better than to believe his kidnappers. He was getting the hell out.
