Chapter 2: The critic
THEAUTHORBLOG

I am back dear reader, I know, I know, you must be excited, but hold the cheers and applause for later as I have much to express.
.
.
Upon rereading my mid-stroke ramblings, most of which I shall forever hide from the light of day, I have found fortune in my misfortune dear reader.
.
While all that I said before regarding my tangents being meaningless and off-topic was true, sadly that was not the stroke’s doing, I believe that there is still some merit in there.
.
I do not yet know where, but I’m sure I’ll find it eventually.
.
.
In the meantime however let me revisit a topic I have been meaning to address. Over the last couple of months, you might as well say the truth, I have been nudging myself towards writing a book.
.
Do you remember reader, my promise to make the greatest, most awe-inspiring, joy inducing, and dare I even say it, climactic piece of fiction to have ever existed.
.
Ignoring of course the reality of subjectivity and unappeasable critics. Always there.
.
Do you, dear reader?
.
Of course you do, how could you forget. Very easily, I’d imagine
.
.
Well that promise still holds true, does it really, and I think I have made a breakthrough. You haven’t.
.
.
.
As I was meaning to say, I have during the last few days begun my conquest over one of the foremost problems an author can deal with, and no I’m not talking publishing houses, that’s a bridge to cross when/if I get there (doubtful).
.
No, instead I can finally say that my research phase seemed to have finally borne fruit and that I’ve fully overcome my creative blockade and started, don’t lie to yourself, writing my sure to be hit piece.
.
I hope the excitement is mounting for you dear reader, as it most certainly is for me.
.
With that aside I think I’m going to cut it short today, don’t want to overwork the proverbial workhorse after all. It's metaphorical, you donkey.
.
Hope to see you again soon dear reader.
Yes, hope see you again, ‘dear reader’

The Legacy of a Pirate
In a universe where magic is the driving force of every planet. One would think that being able to use magic was up to luck, but in reality, it is all calculated. A new power was born from the people unable to use magic, but they would not know until later that the consequences were fatal. A fierce pirate traveled the boundless universe in search of his reason of being. He lived like a king with countless people under him in his crew. People everywhere feared the mere mention of his name, but no one would know that he also wasn't able to use magic until a particular incident. To the ones he loved, he was a saint. And to the ones he hated he was cruelest of demons. However, he would, unfortunately, breathe his last breath under the combined efforts of unknown powers. His reincarnation will inherit his power, and his countless enemies spread across the cosmos! Will he discover the truth about his unique gift?! This is my first story I ever made public, and criticism would be much appreciated as I am not so good with grammar!
