《The Beta Test》Problems

So essentially I ended up with a couple problems. First, I got sucked into some political stuff I thought I had successfully commited to not getting involved in. Secondly I didn't have enough filler. Stuff happened in a compacted way that combined with my third mistake. Thirdly I ramped up the growth too fast. I'm not sure this was avoidable because I started out the character in a way that was too optimized. He was well along the path of glass cannon even in the first couple chapters. Which is an issue when you don't have other classes of characters.
Since you never really saw him when he was weak it also made it harder to appreciate the spell chaining situation.
All of this also contributed to the speed of writing. The math got very complicated very fast. Essentially in 3 days I got through roughly a third of the words I had planned to write.
Also I got sick and when I get sick my ability to actively use my brain diminishes significantly. I can read or even play certain kinds of games fine. I can even grind through physical labor, like I did at my last job even though I had various short terms of being sick or twisting my ankle or w/e. What I can't do is engage in mentally stressful activities.
My purpose was to engage in a writing exercise so I don't really have an interest in rewriting the story or anything. I had fun doing it, for all the flaws involved, and even though I can't really argue that I did a great job or lived up to my goals. My sleep/sickness issues and distraction related to other events definitely contributed to my issues with the mathematical mistakes.
I am sorry for not finishing the project though but better to cut it loose now than to dump it much farther in. I'd feel really terrible if I had dropped it when there was more going on plotwise and after people had potentially invested more time. ~30000 words is a relatively short story by RR standards.

I definitely still feel like its possible to put out a litrpg story in a few days that isn't terrible and contains a complete and satisfying story and ideally which is distinct and engages in my preferred content style.
I am pretty over romantic tension, any sort of putting a love interest in danger stuff, and especially all the stories that involve the character always being subjected to other kinds of tension. Oh the main character has just resolved a key issue in a dramatic climax? Let me immediately shove them into the exact identical position they were in before so that they haven't actually improved their situation. Ugh. I guess that is often caused by the nature of a web serial. An endless escalation of dramatic tension to keep the story going.
In any case it looks like there weren't too many people invested in this story so that's probably for the best.

Lost in Love
My name is Alexander Halesworth, sole heir to a prestigious ducal house. Or rather, that’s what my identity is supposed to be now. I still haven’t gotten used to this whole situation yet. Not long ago I was just a humble store clerk. But shortly after getting into an unfortunate road accident, I woke up in the setting of an infamous Otome Game called “Lost in Love: A Heart Throbbing Romance in a Fantasy World~!” Yeah. It’s even trashier than it sounds. Don’t judge me, it was a gift from a friend. *cough* Anyway, this situation wouldn’t be too bad, except I ended up in the body of the worst possible person: the villainess’ older brother. Alexander has great looks, near limitless wealth, and a thoroughly rotten personality. In most of the game’s endings I end up dead or exiled. My family also falls to ruin, and don’t even get me started on what happens to my evil little sister. Well, whatever. If that’s the hand fate dealt me, then I just have to prevent the bad ends, right? And if I have no choice but to deal with this family’s baggage, I may as well enjoy myself while I’m at it. Being filthy rich and powerful has its benefits. For example, this cute maid who I get to tease whenever I want. (Male lead otome reincarnation, inspired by Akuyaku Reijo Ni Koi Wo Shite and similar works)

Embrace the Blade
Born crippled, it was no surprise when James Ransom died young, but he was offered an opportunity - a mission: to go to a new world and become strong enough to kill the hidden boss behind the final boss. Now in a new world he must research and study the system to take advantage of it, find his strengths; form alliances and find party members to become strong enough to face the end. This story does use Multiple perspectives and tells stories that add to the MC's. I've been given this feedback enough that I feel the need to mention that growth (levels, skills, classes, etc.) is slow, intentionally so, but constant. Credit for the cover goes to a commission for KemptBones from DeviantArt for the cover. This book is a rewrite of the original Embrace the Blade. The timeline for this one is completely separate and you do not need to read the original to understand what is going on. If you want to check out the original you can find it here (just a warning that they are NOT good): ETB Drafts 1&2 If you came here from the original EtB, WELCOME!!

An Indomitable's Odyssey
The story follows the journey of James Walter from a mortal to reaching the peak of power and the many trials and hardships faced by him to reach his goal. Note- This is a xianxia based story without psychopathic murderer/brainless Mc that we generally see in such novels as I find it very boring and clichéd. It is my take on the genre and I hope it will interest the readers to come back for more. The novel might contain mature content in future. More tags might also be added as the story progresses. The cover art has been done by MadelynBlack. She is a wonderful person and a fantastic artist. If you need help with your cover you may message her about it:)

Aurelion
Aurelion is like any other world, created by a god. Currently, Aurelion is a world full of different species of creatures. A world full of magic and battles, with hidden secrets and unknown elements than meets the eye. A world that doesn't have much technology. Roland is a fighter that specialized in short dagger close quarters combat and short range fighting. He is trained in the art of speed and stealth. This is his adventure in the world of Aurelion as he meets friends, team up, fight monsters and reveal the deepest secrets of the world. IMPORTANT : The beginning chapters are extremely messy as those are just what I began with. I don't plan on updating them in the time being --- I'm just someone who enjoys writing. I would like to listen to suggestions and opinions of my readers of the story to improve myself further! For now, please enjoy the story. I'm grateful for every opinion and support I receive!
