《The Adventures of the Mask Maker》Escorting Princess Emelelyn
Advertisement
After finishing the quick quests with Blackie, I went back to the guild and prepared to escort Princess Emelelyn back to her kingdom. Apparently, she is worried with the situation over there and would like to check up on things. Before we set off, I prepared some supplies - food, water, potions, etc. In addition, I opened my Maker's Domain and brought out a King Beetle egg. I placed the egg in the domain and waited. Many years past in the domain...the egg hatched and the King Beetle grew to maturity. Closing the domain, I escorted the princess on. We rode the King Beetle towards the East Forest.
Upon reaching the East Mountains after a few hours, we decided to stop and have lunch. As we sat, I brought out sandwiches and water. I looked at the princess and asked, "You don't eat meat, do you?"
"No." Princess Emelelyn replied. Her air of superiority seemed to have been boosted from all those special treatment...different from how we first met.
"Ok, then, here's a tofu sandwich."
After we ate, we continued to rest. I scanned the surroundings while the princess took a short nap. Why I didn't do anything perverted to the princess while she slept? Well, that's because she's not my type - I like Dark Elves better. Anyways, I'm getting off topic. So, while I scanned the surroundings, I suddenly noticed some movements to my left. I woke the princess up and told her that there were movements. I told her that I'll go check while she stayed put. Before she answered, I hurried after the sound. As I entered some bushes, I immediately put on my Ghost Mask and turned invisible. Then, I made my way back and observed. What's that you say? I'm using the princess as bait? Well...that's not a lie.

Anyways, while I waited, my guess was right and an assassin suddenly jumped out. The princess saw the assassin and jumped in fright, "W-who are you? What d-do you w-want?"
"Hmph! Your life!" The assassin growled as he stabbed his life towards the princess.
At this point, I ran forth and grabbed the assassin's arm. The assassin stared in shock at his arm...why did his hand stop moving? Before he could think any further, I phased my other arm into his body and phased out his heart. The sight of a pumping heart scared the princess so much that she fainted. I dropped the heart and the assassin collapsed. I took off my mask and began searching the assassin's body for clues on who sent him. As my hands patted his clothing, I felt a round thing in his breast pocket. I reached in and pulled out a metal badge. I walked up to the fainted princess and gently slapped her awake.
When she awoke, she glared at me and said, "Did you use me as bait?!"
"Uh...no?"
"NO??"
"Anyways what's this? I found it on the assassin's body."
"Don't try to chan-...wait! This is...this is the badge of the Elves Supremacist Faction!"
"Elves Supremacist Faction?"
"They're a faction of nobles who disapprove the friendly interactions with non-Elves."
"I see..." I nodded, "Anyways, you finish resting? Let's keep going."
I turned around and walked towards the King Beetle. Suddenly, I was slapped in the back of my head. Grabbing my head in pain, I turned and glared at the princess. The princess had her face turned and nose held high, "Hmph, you deserved it."
Didn't want to argue, I grimaced and nodded, "Fine, I admit...I deserved it. Now, let's go"

I turned around once again...and once again, I felt a slap. I turned around and glared, "What was that for?"
"I felt like it."
Gritting my teeth and enduring, I climbed on the King Beetle. I reached my hand to her and she grabbed it. Then, with a grin, I pulled with all my might. I pulled the princess up onto the King Beetle with so much force and momentum that she fell to the ground on the other side.
"YOU!"
"Sorry, my head still hurts...couldn't think well."
I reached over and pulled the princess back on. Then, I urged the King Beetle to continue forward. After a few hours, I arrived at the borders of Rainforest Vale. Since the Vale was a place that Princess Emelelyn knew very well, we were able to speedily maneuver through the forest. As we stirred through the thick forest, I caught sight of fellow adventurers: Eun-Ha, Reachii, Biel, and PK. It seems that they are also on their way to Oakenlake Kingdom to fulfill some missions. So we met up and decided to move together...afterall, safety in numbers am I right?
Finally, after a while of traveling, we reached the kingdom walls of the West Gate. When the Elven guards saw Princess Emelelyn, they opened the gates and let us in. Shortly after, we were led to the main hall to meet with the king. Upon meeting the king (King Thrion Oakenlake) and the queen (Queen Ardwyna Bluegrass), my fellow adventurers and I presented ourselves as allies coming to help Oakenlake Kingdom deal with their crisis. The king thanked us gratefully and gave his permission, allowing the other adventurers to complete their missions. Once we left the main hall, I told the other adventurers to go do their business.

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Trying to discover his place in the world, Jerry will live great adventures. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
