Bio: Born Brazil 1986 January 21. Growing up in a favela Sandworm quickly learnt the importance of being able to fight, specifically how not to get shot. Taking care to avoid irritating the wrong people he was able to keep his head down for the majority of his childhood. With no formal education Sandworm learnt the law of the slums and how to survive instead.
Getting in plenty of fights with other children Sandworm quickly became competent in defending himself. More importantly though he learnt how to run to avoid the armed patrols regularly trying to keep the peace and suppress gangs in the area. Learning the environment of the rooftops he became quite agile in being able to launch himself from building to building evading any firefights that might erupt.
At the age of 12 after a particularly nasty flashpoint concluded he was able to scavenge a pistol from a body. From there he and his friends took part in higher stakes crime holding people at gunpoint for money and valuables. Surviving for a while seeing a substantial increase in their profit and property saw himself and friends grow cocky.
It wasn’t long until the pistol found itself pointed towards the wrong people. Unknown to Sandworm the local gang had known about his friends and their robberies for quite awhile. Falling into a trap Sandworm was quickly disarmed and forced down by gunpoint himself. With his friends carted off along with him they were offered an ultimatum.

Irritated by their operations though impressed with how much disruption the group was able to cause they were given the opportunity to work with the criminal organisation they caused so much trouble. With some basic training in how to shoot and general guidance to their operations saw Sandworm introduced to the criminal underworld.
Now apart of drug running and human trafficking saw him generating that much more revenue but at a much higher risk. Now forced to take part of the firefights he desperately avoided Sandworm became a highly elusive shooter. Quickly picking up and reading a situation provided him with an exceptional sense of cover awareness.
Though proficient at surviving engagements the nature of the trade and his slowly dwindling friends began to take a toll on his mind. Looking for a way out at the age of 18 Sandworm sought out to steal what he needed to provide an exit for himself and the few still alive that he cared about. Preparing to move on a stash owned by his employers however a raid began as Sandworm and his friends entered the compound.
Stuck in a chaotic firefight government forces moved through in a brutal assault refusing to take anyone alive. Caught out in the open fire ripped through whoever remained leaving Sandworm and a few left alive to try escape if only with their lives. Gaining the weight of fire if only for a moment Sandworm made a break for the rooftops.
Sprinting and leaping across rooftops for hundreds of meters he assumed himself to be the only one who made it out. With nowhere else to go as his employers were slowly being picked apart and government forces hot on his trail he left the country looking for work in the only sector he had skills relevant in.

Fighting throughout south america for months as a mercenary saw himself exposed to more and more mind rending sights. Scarring his mind having seen some of the worst conflict had to offer saw him becoming unbreakable under fire. Taking an appreciation to light machine guns to maintain control of the weight of fire in combat situations made him quite an asset for any team.
Fighting alongside a new group of mercenaries Sandworm left a strong impression on the two leaders of the team. Being offered a position with them he found stability he’d never known. Quickly becoming friends with the competent fighters he served alongside the sites of the battlefield became less and less pressing on him given the support offered by the tight knit team.
Believing himself to be unbreakable he found himself unchallenged before entering the zone. Even upon the day of entering he found the whispers on the wind to be more unnerving than any experience he had before. It couldn’t be explained or avoided. Constantly reverberating through his mind even with the rattling of his machine gun it weaved deeper into the cracks finding a way through his fractured mind.
Pushing through Sandworm maintained his combat ability though his mind slipped further each day. Every morning the abyss promised to unveil such tantalizing secrets held from him and everyone else over the years they lived. All it would take was a peek into the depths. With that nothing would asail his mind ever again.

I'm finally coming out of finals for this semester, and I plan on getting the whole already posted section revised. It's taken me a while to change the necessary things, as I had to start all the way over, but I've at least got the rough drafts for all the revised chapters. These should be going up within the next week or so, still have to go to work, but I am here, I haven't forgotten or dropped the story. Just trying to make this the best work that I can produce. P.S. I will be releasing additional stories. They are all going to be in the Good Necromancer world, however the others will give you an idea on how humans in other locations survived and have thrived. Or not. =)
