Chapter 46 - Birthday Gift – Part 7

22nd May 2018 – Monarcity, Chias – Chochica Empire:

Not too long ago, there was a large battle in the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda Galaxy between the many large empires and a villain known as Annihilator.

Chias was the only planet in the Chochica Empire that was damaged physically. The rest of the empire was damaged differently.

The empire was being restored rapidly.

Nazar, in his castle, was sitting on his throne when Ella Noah and Rager Noah requested something. They had requested Baros’ help but he informed Nazar.

Nazar narrowed his eyes once he found out what it is.

“Your son was kidnapped?”

The three years old son of the head maid and the butler was kidnapped.

Nazar stood up.

“Baros, stay here. I will bring him home.”

In an instant, Nazar vanished into thin air.

Both Ella and Rager were surprised.

Nazar, so far, seemed very out of the loop with the rest of the people and always seemed unapproachable.

So, seeing that, they seemed surprised.

Jabalot Empire:

After searching for an hour, Nazar tracked Ereh Rager to an underground location in Jabalot Empire.

Nazar teleported in and found the three years old boy surrounded by dozens of silicon-based life forms.

It was a dark place and they were laughing as the young child cried.

All these kidnappers looked like they were a blob made of small pieces of red meat.

These people are from a planet called Iveria. They are parasitical creatures who bond with people to try and survive. Once they bond, their host dies.

Furthermore, once they bond with their host, they can get all their memories, skills, abilities and powers – if they have any.

However, these parasitical creatures die once the host’s body dies.

They try to kidnap people and then sell them off.

With that money, they want to create a substance that allows them to survive in their parasitical form.

Nazar watched as they talked among themselves.

He was invisible.

“If they bond with me…”

Nazar smiled thinly.

“Will I die? And lose my powers forever?”

Nazar walked towards them slowly.

“”

The kidnappers started to get into a battle stance.

Their bodies started to light up with energy. They can shoot energy beams from their bodies.

The energy beams’ powers depend on the person. Some of them are powerful enough to annihilate an entire town. But most of them can only kill one person with it.

Hearing that, the kidnappers froze in their place.

They exchanged glances.

They looked at one another and gestured.

All silicon-based life forms in the vicinity shot energy beams towards Nazar.

However, since it was too weak, Nazar didn’t have to use a force field or his energy absorption.

Nazar is extremely durable but he was hoping that these people will do him more damage.

The kidnappers took a step back.

Jumping back into shadows, Nazar placed a barrier around Ereh Rager. He didn’t want to take chances.

“”

Nazar felt something crawling on his skin.

“”

Nazar could crush them but he wanted to see their effect on his body.

The parasite entered Nazar’s body through his mouth and ears.

They had reduced their size significantly.

The parasite thought they were entering his body and he hadn’t noticed it but Nazar knew about them.

(If I were to die—Oof!)

Suddenly, Nazar felt something within him.

Something large was coming out of his mouth.

“Bargh!!”

He coughed a large parasite out of his moth.

The parasite got bigger and bigger as it stood in front of Nazar.

“Argh!!”

Nazar sighed as the parasite was shredded into small pieces.

“I guess my power was too much.”

Nazar’s hand twitched in an exasperated manner and all the kidnappers were killed instantly.

"Well... I was hoping it was someone very power," Nazar sounded disappointed. "But this felt like a complete waste of time."

Nazar picked up the child and vanished into thin air.

Appearing on Chias, Nazar left the child with his parents.

Nazar put on a smile as the event of his birthday went on and he promised his people that by the next year, everything will be back to the way it was. That their world be restored to what it was previously and perhaps, even better.

23rd of May 2018, Jabalot Empire:

In the castle of Jabalot Empire, King Iget* was sitting on his throne.

Sitting down, he noticed something.

He felt a weird vibration on the surface of the whole planet.

With it, he also heard a sonic boom.

“”

Whatever it was, it landed on the castle and everything around King Iget were destroyed.

As the castle fell around him, he was the only safe one.

Someone had placed a barrier around him.

“”

Hearing a cold voice, his body tensed up.

“”

Looking at his surroundings, he couldn’t see anything but dust and rubbles.

“”

Suddenly, he saw two red glowing eyes in it.

“”

Iget felt a chill down his body once he heard that cold voice.

“”

Iget saw as the dust and rubbles changed. It started to twirl around the glowing eyes.

“”

The dust and rubbles were thrown away, revealing the person.

“”

Iget gulped.

“”

“”

Nazar moved.

In an instant, Iget found himself being held by his neck by Nazar.

Gritting his teeth, Nazar continued.

“”

Iget was not sure what to say.

He was not aware of the kidnapping. Nazar knew that.

But even then, he did not want to go easy on him.

Standing on the ground, Nazar stabbed his leg into the ground.

As it did, cracks appeared on the surface of the planet for hundreds of miles.

Nazar let go of Iget.

“”

Iget fell to the ground on his butt.

“”

“” Iget said slowly.

Nazar kicked him in the stomach.

“”

Rolling on the ground, Iget shouted, “”

With a thin smile, Nazar said, “”

Nazar jumped up and waved his hand.

As he did, the castle he had destroyed was back to normal.

Once Nazar left, Iget sat on the floor and wiped the blood off his face.

22nd May 2021 – Monarcity, Chias – Chochica Empire:

In the main hall, when everyone had left, Nazar have Ereh Noah a present.

Ereh's parents were standing near him. His parents are Ella and Rager, who is the head maid and the butler of this castle.

"Here, it's your birthday gift."

"Hm?"

The small child who shares the same birthday as Nazar opened the gift immediately in an excited manner.

Nazar looked at the child's parents.

"It's a two week trip to Planet Vera."

Planet Vera was a very beautiful resort planet. It is part of the Duluria Empire.

Duluria Empire is one of the largest empires in the surrounding galaxies, alongside Vanaha Empire and Chochica Empire.

"Two weeks is…"

"A little too long, your majesty."

"Yes, we cannot leave things for that long."

"A week is more than enough."

Nazar sighed as they talked among themselves.

"Fine. One week should do."

Most maids, chefs and the butler always live in the castle. It is their home. And they don't work 24/7. But Nazar still wanted to give them a chance to go somewhere outside of the castle and the empire and have some fun.

He gives the other workers also a week off regularly so they can enjoy other things in life.

Nazar smiled and walked towards his room.

In the castle, he has a large bedroom with a large bed. He also has a large TV screen, a few sofas, a shelf that holds a few books, a mirror that is used when he is changing clothes.

It also has large windows and he can see many parts of the city from it.

In his bedroom, standing before a large mirror, he tapped his chest twice and his clothes changed.

He was now wearing black jeans and black shirt.

“I wonder…”

He wasn’t sure why, but deep down in his heart, he was feeling pain.

“Why do I feel so empty?”

Looking in the window, he saw his reflection smile.

He wasn't smiling but his reflection was.

Seeing that, he gulped, and the mirror broke.

“I am gonna--”

Suddenly, through the roof, someone landed in his room.

Nazar sighed.

He had heard a thunder not far from here a second ago and he knew who it was.

“You didn’t have to destroy it, Eddie,” Nazar said in an exasperated tone.

“Eh, you will fix it anyway.”

Nazar’s hand twitched and everything went back to the way it was.

“Anyway, happy birthd--”

“Shut the fu--”

“Happy birthday. You are finally a man. You can finally drink.”

“Listen here, Captain Potato, unlike America, in the UK and many other countries, people can drink when they are 18. They can even--”

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” Eddie said as he waved his hand in front of his face.

Nazar noticed something in his hand.

There was a yellow envelope.

“What’s that?”

“Oh this?”

Eddie smiled thinly.

“Do you really want to know?”

“Maybe…”

Eddie threw the envelope towards Nazar.

“Open it.”

Nazar opened it slowly.

Seeing what was inside it, his eyes opened wide.

“Is this… Holy fuck! That’s not…”

Inside the envelope were comics.

“My dad was a comic book collector, just like you. And me too from the other timeline but here, I don’t care much about it. But this, my friend…”

Eddie pointed at the comics.

“Kingdom Come first printing. Signed by both Alex Ross and Mark Waid.”

“No fucking way?!?!”

Nazar looked at the comics excitedly.

“I have like many editions of it… Trade paperbacks, hardcovers, etc… But holy shit…”

Nazar kept staring at the comics.

Despite being over two decades old, they still seemed very new.

“But wait!”

“Hm?”

“Are you sure? I mean… This is…”

“Ah, don’t worry. My dad gave to me.”

“I see… Well, thanks.”

“You know, my parents want to meet you one day. You did a lot for us. Healing me, giving me powers and avoiding their deaths… So, you know, they want to thank you.”

Suddenly the mood became heavy.

“Maybe one day…”

(Recharge!)

“Anyway, I gotta get going. I an important da-- Err… appointment."

"Hm. Let me guess… Jessica?"

Eddie nodded.

“You still dating Jessica?”

“Yep!”

“Why do you look so happy?”

"Because I am promised her that I will take her somewhere very, very beautiful."

“Ugh. Happy people… All of you can die!!”

“Woah, woah, woah.”

Nazar placed the comics back into the envelope.

“Anyway, isn’t ‘Norse God’ kinda lame?”

“Oh, like Ion is any better?”

Eddie sighed.

“I noticed it sounded kinda weird but it has grown on me over the years.”

“Oh, I see.”

The envelope started to vanish into thin air.

“Wah?!”

Eddie looked troubled.

“What?”

“Wha-wha-what did you do to tho-tho-those comics?”

“I sent it to my library.”

Hearing that, Eddie let out a sigh of relief.

“I thought you threw it away.”

“Why would I do that? I have been looking for something like that for years.”

“Oh, okay.”

Eddie flew through the roof.

“I swear… Do people not respect my castle?”

Nazar noticed something.

“Well, I do the same…”

Sighing, he fixed the castle once more.

“I have the part’s ready. I will have to restore Solace sooner or later.”

Nazar vanished into thin air.

Planet Yira:

Baros was sitting at one corner of the bar, alone, drinking his drink.

He left Chias a short while after the event was over.

Tir, a short man who has a large eyeball as head, was sitting opposite him.

Baros lowered his gaze.

“”

He noticed that his glass was empty, so he held it out towards Tir.

Tir picked up a bottle that was on the ground and poured some of it into Baros’ glass.

“”

Seeing the blank look on Baros’ face, Tir gritted his teeth.

“”

Baros laughed.

“”

Shouting, Tir stood up with his hand clenched.

“”

“”

Tir exhaled deeply and calmed down a little.

“” he said as he crossed his arms just below chest.

Like his people, he has his mouth and nose right on his chest.

“”

Baros sighed.

“”

“”

Tir gritted his teeth.

But Baros smiled.

However, it vanished very quickly.

Seeing that, a perplexed expression appeared on his face.

“”

Baros placed an illusion around them as he stood up.

“”

Two white wings spread out of his back.

Seeing that, with a wide mouth, Tir stood up.

Not believing what he is seeing, he moved his mouth but no words will come out of it.

The wings soon folded up into his back, vanishing from sight.

The wings went back into his body.

“”

Baros shook his head.

“”

Tir was not sure how to take this.

He and Baros have known each other for a long time but this was a very big secret.

“”

Baros sat down.

“”

Baros trailed off.

It seemed as if he didn’t want to say it.

“”

Baros’ eyes widened.

Tir laughed as he sat down.

“”

Tir chuckled but Baros looked at him with a sad look on his face.

Baros was not sure how to take this. Tir was one of the few friends he has and he didn’t want to lose him.

Seeing him say that with a wide smile on his face, Baros felt intense pain in his heart.
