Chapter 73 - Arc 10 - Final Planet - Part 4
A few years ago on planet Eir:
(What happened to them? Are they okay? And Laura...) Nazar thought to himself. (Are they well? Are they still alive?)
He shook his head.
(If… If something bad has happened, I can always go back in time.)
He clenched his fist in determination.
“N-Nazar?”
Nazar narrowed his eyes as he looked at the person before him.
“I am sorry but I will look inside your head and check your memories. I apologise. I truly mean it. But I need to--”
“Sure.”
He was surprised to see her accept it.
Nazar placed his hand on her head as his eyes lit up with yellow energy.
(First, I need to get inside her mind. Then from there...)
Nazar knows a unique telepathic trick which allows him to go inside the mind of others, once he sees them in someone’s memory.
For example, looking at Rina’s memories, he can see thousands of people. He can go inside their minds - even though most of them are dead. And from there, he goes inside the minds of the people whom they have seen.
Just like that, he made his way back to the beginning of this world. The first person.
However, what he found was very ordinary, thus useless.
From there, he went inside the mind of other people that came after that person.
Within a few minutes, he had searched the mind of every single person who has ever set foot on this world - of course, except for the queen and the other being.
Finding no answer, he clicked his tongue and removed his hand from her head.
“...Thanks.”
Ignoring that, Rina asked him a question.
“Where have you been?”
“...Away. Searching the dark space and the other parts of the world. Why?”
“Ah… Nothing. It's just I…”
She looked down.
"I wish…"
She shook her head.
Confused, he tilted his head.
Looking up, a warm and gentle smile appeared on her face.
"It's nothing. Thanks for being here."
"Right…"
Not understanding what happened here, Nazar looked at her suspiciously.
"I don't mean anything evil by it…"
She lowered her gaze as she shyly twiddled her fingers.
"I am just happy you are around."
Nazar averted his gaze as he noticed something.
(Alice was right.) He thought to himself. (I only ever care about myself. I didn't care about the people and their privacy. I checked their minds as if they are nothing.)
Rina might not have shown it on her face, but she was feeling scared of him.
So, he felt very guilty about making it worse.
လလလ
Years and years and years passed. He has been here for ten years now.
Nazar couldn't get out of here. So, he started a life for himself. He built himself a house in the town. Became friends with almost everyone.
He has been trying to get out even know but it's impossible.
And the voices in his head grew angrier and louder.
In the many years here, he has used every power of his possible. But all of them have been useless.
He hasn't given up. He is still trying to get back to his world.
The world hadn't changed in the slightest. Nothing has. Including him.

He still hasn’t lost his will. He still wants to leave this place.
Inside the fantasy-like town, Nazar and everyone else in the town were celebrating a festival.
He was standing in front of a food stall.
Unlike typical festivals, the food and gifts here are completely free. No one pays for anything since its run by the townspeople.
And since Nazar was also considered one of them, he didn’t have to pay either.
Behind the stall, Rina was selling food that resembled Chinese steamed buns.
“What’s wrong?”
Nazar had a worried expression on his face.
“I don’t know… Something feels off. I have this bad feeling inside my chest.”
She handed him a steamed bun.
“Here, eat this. It will make your worries go away… Maybe.”
Nazar chuckled.
“Thanks.”
He looked at the steamed bun closely.
“Does this even taste good?”
“Look, I might put a lot of sweet tomatoes or sugar in everything but trust me, this isn’t sweet. It has meat in it. Like… Uh, what do you call it?”
She thought about it hard.
“Mince?”
“Mince…? Maybe.”
She sighed heavily.
“Anyway, it isn’t sweet.”
Nazar continued looking at the steamed bun warily.
“You keep blabbering about how good of a cook you are, but none of us ever tried your food, Nazar.”
A big muscular man with black hair and black eyes wrapped his arm around Nazar’s should and spoke with a wide smile.
“Because if I cook for anyone, they would never eat anything else.”
Rina rolled her eyes.
“My cooking is just beyond anything--”
“He is just making stuff up,” Rina said. “I don’t think he can cook. I feel like he is just pretending to cook but can’t. I have met a lot of men like you, Nazar.”
“Oh really, now?”
Nazar stuffed the steamed bun in one go.
“Lesh gib it a--”
“I can’t hear you properly.”
Nazar stretched.
Swallowing the steamed bun, he said, “Move, Rina.”
“Ooh? What is this?”
“I am gonna show you guys...”
She could see the fire in his eyes.
“The extent of my cooking skills!”
Skip forward a few minutes and it was ready.
He put the… whatever it was in the plate and handed it to Rina.
She looked at it warily.
“Just eat it! It’s going to taste awesome!”
Nazar said excitedly but she just handed him the plate back.
“Is this even edible?”
“Of course.”
She shook her head.
“It doesn’t look like it’s edible.”
Nazar frowned.
“Look, it has the bun, meat, onions, vegetables, a bit of water.”
“A bit of water?!”
She pointed at the food.
“That looks like its hardened soup.”
“So?”
“The whites and the reds and the greens… It looks disgusting.”
“Aram?”
The man held up his hand and said, “Er… I just remembered I need to do something very important. So… Uh… I will be going now.”
And so, he ran off, leaving them alone.
“See?”
Nazar sighed.
“You guys don’t appreciate good food.”
“No one would eat that.”
“My friends do.”
She stared at him blankly.
“I feel bad for them.”
“You shouldn’t… Kind of.”
Nazar looked at the food he had made.
Making a disgusted expression, he tossed it behind him.

Seeing that, Rina laughed.
“Ah, I wanted to ask you a question.”
The curious look on her face made Nazar confused.
“What is your gi...gir… girlf--- Ah. I mean, your lover.”
She asked the one question she always avoided.
“Oh?”
“What is she like?”
“Hm, what do you mean?”
“I mean, how she looks like? What kind of person is she?”
“She is very beautiful.”
Rina rolled her eyes.
“That’s it? No description?”
Nazar created Laura’s image by manipulating light.
“Oh… She really is beautiful.”
“I know, right?”
For some reasons, Nazar seemed very proud.
“I still can’t believe we are dating...”
His somewhat proud expression got replaced with a sad one.
“Were. I am sure she has probably already moved on...”
He laughed bitterly.
“Haha, maybe you can move on too. Find yourself someone else,” Rina said in a half-jokingly manner.
“That’s what anyone would do, but I wouldn’t do that.”
“Oh?”
“Long story short, I did her badly. Though it is not 100% my fault, I still did her badly. But at the end of the day, she smiled and said to move on.”
She seemed surprised.
“She is the kind of person who moves on fast. Very fast. She says life is too short to worry about the negatives too much. Just focus on the positives and the things that make you happy.”
Nazar smiled.
“It’s nice the way she thinks. She moves on pretty fast and doesn’t let the bad things ruin her happiness too much.”
“I guess she can’t be blamed. Human lives are… short, right? In your world, I mean.”
“Yes, very short.”
“If you get back to her and she doesn’t accept you, what will you do then?”
Nazar thought about it.
“Nothing.”
“Hm? Why?”
“As long as she is happy, I really don’t see why I need to ruin it for her.”
She seemed surprised by his answer.
“You don’t care about your own happiness?”
“I do. I really do.”
He looked down.
“But I am going to make myself happy at the expense of someone else’s. Who knows? Laura might not even care about me. So, there won’t be any way for us to be together.”
Remiciating about the past, he looked up to the blue sky and smiled nostalgically.
“I remember a long time ago, she was the first outsider who looked at me without fear in her eyes. It was a rather new experience.”
“Did she have powers like you?”
He shook his head as he looked at Rina.
“No. But she was only living for her brother, who was bedridden. She just didn’t care if I was a killer. She wouldn't have cared if I killed her.”
He lowered his gaze as his smile vanished.
“Though she went through a lot because of me, she still stayed beside me and welcomed me with open arms.”
For some reasons, Rina hated herself for asking that question and definitely hated hearing him talking about her.
“Whenever I am around her, it’s like I don’t have to worry about anything. It feels like she has this healing touch.”
Nazar didn’t notice but he had a goofy smile on his face.
“Lucky girl.”
“Is she though?”
Confused, she tilted her head a little.
“As I mentioned earlier, she went through a lot after the meeting. A lot of unfortunate things. And she might not remember this, but in some other destroyed timelines, she was killed many times by someone. They did it so they could get to me. So, I wouldn’t call her lucky.”
“I see,” she said as she looked around uncomfortably.
Nazar was not looking at her, so he didn’t notice but she wanted to change the subject as soon as possible.
“Ah, speaking of alternative and dead timelines, in many of them you and I were married.”
She looked at him in reflex.
Nazar was not looking up to her.
“But at the end of each one, just like Laura you died too. You were killed just to get to me...”
Nazar's eyes widened as suddenly realised something.
“No… It can’t be, can it?”
“Wait, go back. What do you mean--”
Her eyes opened wide in surprise as she felt something touch her neck.
It felt cold.
“That took you a long time, love♡.”
Nazar sucked in a breath.
“You finally realised what I will do to this beauty, right? Why I brought you here? Why I manipulated your emotions for her?”
Behind Rina, the queen of Virrasil was standing.
She was holding something like a knife to Rina’s throat.
“You are so slow sometimes.”
The queen had her mask on but Nazar could tell that she was smiling thinly.
“A lot of women would love that in bed♡.”
Nazar struggled to breathe as he remembered what she did to him.
His mind was also being attacked.
“Can you save her?”
Rina felt the knife slowly stab into her neck.
“N-Nazar…? Please!”
She held his hand towards Nazar.
Nazar tried to hold her hand but the distance between them increased significantly.
He was being moved away from her.
“!!”
The powers work differently in this world. After a long time, he finally found the numbers of this world, so he could use his powers perfectly fine.
So.
“Say goodbye to her☆.”
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!”
Nazar moved.
But the space between them kept on increasing and it was hard to get to close. Blocks of space were being added to this world. The world was becoming bigger and bigger.
“NAZARRRRRRRRRRR!!!” Rina shouted on top of her lungs as she reached her hand towards him.
The queen giggled as she slit Rina’s throat.
Nazar’s heart skipped a beat in horror once he noticed that.
“I can’t imagine you having any fighting spirit left, hero♡.”
“Shut up!” He spat out as dark purple energy started to leak out.
He was losing control.
“Oho?” She sounded impressed.
He has divided his power into many different forms.
But under emotional distress, the barriers of those forms are destroyed and his powers increase significantly.
As the dark aura covered him, Nazar moved.
“Ohohoh. You are bringing out the God of Destruction this quickly?”
Nazar did not pay her any heed.
The distance which kept on increasing between them did not matter.
Nazar was faster than she could manipulate this world.
“I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!”
