Chapter 74 - Arc 10 - Final Planet - Part 5
Not too long ago, Planet Eir:
The ruthless Queen of Virrasil slit the throat of Nazar’s close friend on this planet, Rina Greenphord.
Under extreme emotional distress, the barrier between his forms broke apart and Nazar’s powers increased significantly.
“Ohohoh. You are bringing out the God of Destruction this quickly?”
Nazar did not pay her any heed.
The distance which kept on increasing between them did not matter.
Nazar was faster than she could manipulate this world.
“I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!”
As he moved towards her, the stalls in the festivals turn into ash due to the energies being leaked out from Nazar.
Around Nazar was a dark purple aura. This is his Destruction form. Anything he wants to be destroyed, it gets destroyed.
In the last second, he already tried it on the woman before her but it was useless.
Moving faster than the eye can see, in an instant, they were on the other side of the planet.
Nazar was throwing his fists at her but she was merely dodging it while laughing.
(Oh, I see how it is now…) She thought to herself. (Your other forms... Mainly your "Goldy" powers are messing around with your God of Destruction form… Hm, so you are not at full power, huh?)
She seemed somewhat disappointed.
(Creation and destruction… They don’t go together. Makes sense now.)
Despite the disappointing result, she giggled.
(Omnipotence really is something else, huh?)
“It’s arousing.”
Nazar did not pay her attention at all.
He tried to think of a way to slow her down.
(You really tried to manipulate the magnetic fields of this planet? Ha!)
She was flying backwards just a little ahead of him. She was facing Nazar this whole time.
Seeing the dark purple energy around him increase, she could only feel excited.
Nazar swung a fist towards her.
She stopped resisting and took his punch.
But!
It didn't even budge her.
Narrowing her eyes, she thought. (Are you looking down on me...)
She clenched her fist.
(No one looks down on the queen of Virrasil!)
“No ONE!”
She slowed down and punched Nazar in the chest.
The impact of the punch created a shockwave that could wipe planets in an instant. But Nazar was subconsciously containing their blows.
“You can’t defeat me in this form.”
She said while gritting her teeth.
“Bring out your true powers!”
Michael had referred to some of Nazar’s powers as “Godly” powers but she never understood what he meant by that.
She saw him fight against the Demon King and Lucifer with it but she still doesn’t believe it.
No, she believes it exists but she doesn’t think it's as powerful as they make it out.
So, right now seeing as how weak Nazar is right now, she gritted her teeth.
“You overrated piece crap!!”
“Brghf!!”
Nazar coughed blood as he finally felt the impact of the punch.
He was soon thrown away towards space.
“All I see is talk and talk and talk of how powerful you are,” she spat out as she flew after Nazar. ”I see them putting you on my league. Ha! Pathetic!”
She increased her speed.
“You have yet to prove your worth. The worth of your power. You are a worthless piece of crap!”
She soon overtook Nazar.
Kicking him in the chest, he was sent back flying towards the planet at an unimaginable speed.
“You have yet to do something on my level.”

Deep down, fighting him head-on, she noticed that he was not on her level, so she felt somewhat disappointed.
“I ruled over millions and millions of people. Each one of them was able to create their own ultraverses and megaverses. They could destroy them with just a thought. Making and remaking. That’s who I ruled over."
She felt anger at Nazar and everyone else who overrated his capabilities.
"And I was more powerful than all of them combined. I exist on another level. Far beyond someone like you. But you and him….”
The queen of Virrasil did fight Nazar a few years ago. She thought that he was not playing seriously, so she prepared another stage for their play.
"Both of you stole my glory. Ruined my hard work. Stole my position. Even then!"
Thinking that Rina’s death would make him take her seriously, she was eagerly waiting for this moment.
“You are nothing but disappointment. Do you hear me?”
Crashing into the planet, a massive crater appeared in it.
The crater was comparable to the size of South America.
“Controlling your fall… Tch!”
Enraged she moved.
“You care about them, don’t you? About these little creatures, right?”
Smiling thinly behind her mask, she picked up Nazar from the ground and carried him by the neck.
“These pathetic beings you call friends… Haha. Let me show you something beautiful.”
Nazar watched as his body was being moved forcefully. He watched as she kept his eyes open.
Within a second, the queen murdered everyone in front of Nazar. She made sure he saw everyone.
It happened fast but he saw it. He saw how each of them die. He saw how they couldn’t even scream for their lives.
In just a second, there was nothing but corpses and the two of them.
A whole planet dyed red in the blood of the innocent.
She danced in the red world as if it were a ballerina.
“No matter how many mortals I kill…” she sounded very excited. “It’s never not fun. In fact, it’s arousing.”
She walked closer towards him.
“Ahhh. It’s exhilarating. It’s all so exciting.”
She stood over and laughed.
“Imagine with omnipotence…. I could kill everyone and bring them back and kill them and bring them back and… Ahhhh… Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!”
"Ahh. Shut your moaning, you bitch."
Nazar forced himself up.
However, as soon as he got up, she kicked him in the stomach and he flew towards the other side of the planet.
Nazar, on the other side of the planet, coughed blood.
He stood up again.
But the queen punched him in the head, blowing it to pieces.
He stood up again.
But the queen stabbed him in the heart.
Just like that, weeks and weeks and weeks passed.
Stuck in a battle where Nazar cannot even land a single punch.
The world beneath them had been reduced to atoms.
Floating near the sun, the queen laughed angrily.
“Why are you so weak?”
Nazar had used the pain from her attacks to get over the death of his friends.
His shirt was ripped into small pieces which can't be found anymore.
“I had seriously overestimated you!! It was fun for a while but it’s getting boring now, you overrated piece of junk.”
Nazar kept quite.
"Looking at this pathetic you… I don't think you even reached that state. You are probably lying to everyone."
She laughed bitterly.
"You know what? At this exact moment… I don't care about you anymore. All my plans has been turned into ash because I don't think everything I have told was the truth."

She gritted her teeth.
"I don't care about that. You are not what you say. So!"
Nazar could feel the anger in her words.
"Prove to me you are worth something. That you actually have power. That you are the true God who went beyond the level no one else had. PROVE IT TO ME!"
Screaming on top of her lungs, Nazar moved back slightly.
"Or else I will keep you in this place for an eternity. For an eternity, I will hurt you and hurt you and hurt and hurt you."
She, however, was getting annoyed at why he kept on getting back up.
"And kill everyone you ever cared for. I will kill them in ways in which you have never seen. I will first start with that lover of yours. And then your friends. And then your brother. Then your mother and then your sister."
Nazar narrowed his eyes.
"I will kill them over and over and over again. If you want to save them, fight back with everything you have!!"
He clenched his fist.
"I didn't expect you to have this much spirit, love♡."
Suddenly, the anger from her voice vanished.
"If I were to ask you a question like…"
"Hm?"
"Give me your power and in return, I will give you a normal life…"
His eyes widened as the dark purple aura around him got lighter.
"Would you accept it?"
Nazar looked down as he thought.
This is a golden opportunity for him. He can get what he always wanted. His greatest... His only wish will come true if she is telling the truth.
"I--"
"You don't have to answer me now, I will give you some time to think about it. It might never even come true. Who knows."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Now show me what you have GOT!"
She punched him in the chest before he could even react and threw him towards the sun.
Flying through the sun, he heard a voice in his head.
(Let me out.)
The voice was calm but very cold at the same time.
(...No.)
(I am the only one who can take her down and we both know that.)
Nazar gritted his teeth.
(I have been asking you for weeks now. For years now. If only you have me the driver seat, I would have taken us out of here.)
(HOW?!?)
(Don't shout at me, imbecile.)
(....)
(Either way, let me out.)
(I can't. I will be--)
(Fine how about a deal then? I changed my conditions.)
(Hm?)
The other voice said told Nazar his plan.
Thinking about it, this was the only way.
So.
(Okay. But I have my own conditions too.)
(Deal.)
Suddenly, Nazar changed both on a physical, emotional and metaphysical level.
Scars appeared over his body. Emotions left him.
Nazar flew from the core of the sun towards the queen.
"Hm?"
She narrowed her eyes.
"Someth--"
Suddenly, she was hit with an energy blast in the back.
Looking back, she saw something which made her jaw drop.
"A sun…?"
She surveyed her surroundings.
"Oh?"
She seemed surprised.
"The universe…"
Nazar had ignited suns around her.
Trillions of suns suddenly existed.
The dark universe had light once more.
"I call this…"
Nazar cold and emotionless voice reached her in the dark of space.
"¬Trillion Exploding Suns¬."
The suns suddenly started to fly towards her at full speed.
Hundreds and hundreds of suns were moving faster than light speed towards her at every angle.
She wasn't scared. She can take attacks far higher than that.
But she was wondering what just happened.
Nazar could barely land a hit on her but right now he is making suns ignite out of nothing.
She raised her hands and tried to stop the suns which were coming towards her from every angle.
"Doesn't work…?"
She was surprised.
Nazar laughed coldly. He couldn't be seen anywhere.
"Is that fear I see?"
(No, it isn't.) she thought. (I don't feel fear, you mongrel.)
"I don't care who looks down on me. I really don't. But if you…"
(Something seems off. It's different. His emotions have been…)
She shook her head.
(He is devoid of emotions. This isn't the normal one. Something is very different and…)
"Threaten those I-- No. Threaten those he cares about…"
The trillions of suns squished the queen as it blew up, creating a massive supernova.
"Then you have to pay a price."
"Hrk!?!"
As the suns blew up around her, something else also happened.
Nazar had stabbed her in the back with what can only feel like a sword.
But that's the most important thing here.
The problem is she felt that.
"That…"
"It's the living darkness - the Null."
(It shouldn't hurt.) She thought. (I had mastery over it. I was its master. I have fought it before. I won. I was more powerful…. But what is this pain? This isn't the darkness. It's something. Something else mixed into it. What is it?!)
"My other self doesn't want power. He doesn't. And he doesn't use his power wisely. In fact, he refuses to even use it wisely. He refuses to learn it."
Her being at the centre of trillions of supernovas and being stabbed in the back by a sword she didn't understand…
"But me? I am different. I know myself well. I know my powers. I know how to use it. I know powers well and know how to use it well. And I will use anything to achieve my objectives. I will topple anyone who stands in my way. I will topple universes if it comes to it. I would do anything."
(For the last few years, I have been carelessly using my powers and didn't care about keeping my energy in check. Destroying time. Reconstructing it. Destroying Multiverses. Resurrecting people. And more and more and more.)
She bit her lip.
(I didn't think about it… My powers have been reduced significantly. It never bothered me… I need to get it back. But first, I need to survive this.)
"So, the darkness isn't so different. Null isn't so different. I am it's master as I am the master of everything."
Her body jolted in surprise as she learned something.
(Ah, I get it. That's clever. But it won't---)
"It's over!"
She screamed on top of her lungs as her entire body exploded from within.
Being reduced to nothing, Nazar stood alone.
Being at the centre of billions of explosions, Nazar's body didn't even twitch.
Waving his hand, the suns vanished from the view.
Nazar smiled thinly as the universe became dark. Everything became dark.
(It was wise of me to mix my Godly powers - enough that it wouldn't leave a toll on my body - and the Null. Darkness and light. Creation and destruction. The chain reaction killed her.) Nazar thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes. (I don't think it will work again.)
He raised his hand.
(I need to get out of here. And if I know one thing…)
The whole universe lit up with light.
(This is another multiverse. From what my other self collected and what Emily said, this is the other multiverse. The dead one. They left only one planet, huh? Interesting)
He clenched his fist.
(And if I learned anything from my other self, it means there is a barrier around here. His thoughts were correct. But he doesn't look at things twice often. One glance is never enough.)
A sound can be heard throughout the darkness. A sound of glass breaking.
(This multiverse…. Or remains of it were encased. Interesting. Now…)
The darkness was soon replaced by living darkness - the Null.
(Time to go home!)
Once the barrier came down, the restrictions on his powers were lifted.
But!
(I have limited to use these powers. I should get out of here because he blocks these powers. Before I am too week to leave it.)
He could always use his Godly powers but he couldn't leave this place at all.
(Planet Eir - the final planet of this multiverse. I will somewhat miss you. Now then...)
He stabbed his hands into space and ripped it open.
လလလ
In a dark place, she saw the light again.
Breathing heavily, instead of being scared, she looked excited.
"I thought…"
The other being did not seem to be interested in listening to her story.
"I had given up on him. I thought you were joking. I thought Michael was joking. Testing him out… I was so disappointed."
At the moment, she did not look disappointed at all.
"But that power… That display of power…"
The other being sighed.
"It's exhilarating. I have found a new determination to defeat him. I can't wait to do it! I can't wait to break him♡."
She couldn't contain her excitement at all.
"This is great."
Compared to her excited mode, the other being was quite the opposite.
"You have unleashed a monster… I didn't think he was still around."
Not understanding, she tilted her head in a confused manner.
"That one… He is a scary one. He is a big threat. More so than him using his Godly powers."
"What are you…?"
"That one is a master manipulator. A schemer. If he has full control, then we are toast."
"Wait, wait, wait!"
"If he has full control, he would reach that state again and kill you. Immediately. That is if he..."
She stood up.
"What do you mean?"
"He will use anything and everything for his advantage. Took me a while to guess it but him using the darkness like that… You are in for a lot of trouble now. That is if he considers you a worthy opponent."
She still didn't understand what he was talking about.
"Stay low for a while. Pretend you are dead. He won't buy it but it will help us a little."
She clicked her tongue as she didn't understand.
"Then give me your power."
"I can't. You are not ready yet. Your body, I mean. No matter how much I modify it, it won't be able to contain that much power without the Dragon's ability."
She sighed heavily.
"You are… You are scared of him, right?"
The other being did not deny nor confirm it.
"Just be careful. Stay low and use your underlings."
"I actually thought it was a nice development. I need him at that level."
"Yes, you do. But it's a problem. So, I will come up with contingencies for him. His mind vs mine. This isn't a show of power. It's a battle of minds."
She rolled her eyes.
"You guys are probably overestimating him as usual."
"We will see."

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
