Chapter 118
Arc 14 - Absolute Wish - Part 2
Monday, 28th of June - London, UK:
In the evening, Emily was sitting opposite her mother - Mikasa Jones - around a round table in her cafe and talking.
“So, what happened?” Mikasa asked as she leaned back in her chair.
“I think the interview went well,” Emily looked down at her formal wear which consisted of black trousers, white shirt and a black blazer. “But since I don’t have a lot of experience, I don’t know what will happen.”
“Why are you not finding a job in your own field?” Mikasa sounded a little annoyed.
A few years back when Emily wanted to go to university, she chose marketing but it seems she lost interest very quickly but she forced herself to finish it. But now she doesn’t want to work in that field anymore.
“Ehehe,” she smiled awkwardly as she scratched the back of her head.
“Don’t “ehehe” me, Em, I am serious here.”
“Sorry, sorry. I will think about it.”
Suddenly, Nazar appeared out of thin air.
“Can we talk, Emily?” he sounded frantic.
Oh good, a distraction. Emily thought as she breathed out in a relieved manner. Thank you, God.
Mikasa looked back and smiled at him.
“At least say hello.”
“O-oh,” he smiled stiffly. “Hi.”
Mikasa let out a sigh.
“You know, you should come around more often. You are so out of touch with the rest of us.”
(Well, I am kind of out of touch everyone...) He thought to himself. (Ah, speaking of… I need to check up on Aria too. I should go and meet here after I am done here.)
“Sorry about that,” he said as he sat down near them.
“Don’t worry about it, I am just teasing you.”
“O-oh.”
“But you do have to keep in touch with others.”
He forced a smile.
“Will try.”
Mikasa stood up, “I will leave you guys to talk. But don’t stay for too long. I am closing soon.”
“Yeah, it will be short.”
Once Mikasa left, Nazar looked at Emily with a serious look on his face.
“So, what brings you here, love?”
His serious expression was immediately replaced by an annoyed one.
“Did you come here with a marriage proposal?”
“Shut it, side character,” he pulled out a chair opposite Emily and sat on it.
She leaned forward in the chair.
Emily placed her elbow on the table, with her chin in her hand, she smiled a thin smile.
“You know what they say, side characters are more interesting than the main characters.”
He frowned.
In return, she laughed.
“Hey, but isn’t it because we barely know anything about the side characters, so when they do something cool once in a while, people find them more interesting.”
“Not true, but any examples?”
“Like Naruto and Goku from One Piece.”
The blood in her body started to boil while Nazar tried to hold back his laughter.
"When the fuck did you become such a normie?!?! You used to be better than this. I am disappointed."
"Well…"
"I want to kill you so badl-l-l-- W-w-wa-wait!
Nazar's cheek twitch twitched stiffly as he forced a smile on his face.
"Don't tell me…"
He gulped.
"You have fallen?"
He stared at her blankly for a moment.
"You have stopped reading action mangas in favour of…"
Nazar shook his head frantically.
"N-no, no. I--"
"In favour of slice of life and shoujo mangas???!" she slammed her hands furiously on the table as she stood up. "And romcoms?!?!"

Nazar hung his head low.
"Now my fault they are so fun to read," he said while avoiding her gaze.
"ARGHGHG!!!!" she held her head between her palms as she screamed.
"I am just joking."
She did not believe that.
Mikasa rushed out of the back in a worried manner.
"What is GOING ON here?!"
Emily pointed to Nazar quickly with her index finger, "He has become a normie."
"Huh?" Mikasa let out in a puzzled voice.
"He is being a disappointment."
"Oh, nothing new then," she said casually as she went back into the back of the shop.
Nazar rolled his eyes.
“A-anyway, I have got a proposal of sorts but not the one you wanted, I guess.”
Emily’s expression turned serious as she sat down immediately.
“So? What is it?”
“I have a favour to ask. And of course, not for free. Name your price.”
“Leaving that aside, what do you need?”
“I need your help.”
Emily narrowed her eyes.
“You need my help?”
He nodded without hesitation.
“I need your help to kill the other guy.”
Emily did not have to ask questions, she knew who he was talking about.
“I call him #2 these days.”
For some odd reasons, Nazar seemed proud of his naming ability.
“...”
Emily stared at him as she thought.
“Why?”
“It’s time I get rid of some of the nuisances.”
Emily leaned back in her chair.
“You always say that you are the only one who can truly hurt me or how you could kill me before I reached that high...”
He leaned in and smiled thinly.
“Why don’t we put that to test? Help me kill him--”
“No,” she replied in a stern tone.
“Why?” he was confused.
Emily hates him, so wouldn’t this be the best option for her to sate her hatred.
“Why do you want to kill him?”
Nazar lowered his gaze as he leaned back in the chair.
“I don’t want to hate my mother. I don’t want to always be on my guard around her. I really want to be close to her. But since #2 can’t feel any emotions, those negative emotions flow within me, so at the end of the day, it is I who hate her and not him. And I hate that.”
Emily was not sure how to reply, except stare at him.
“I used to wake up a lot because he would push his nightmares out through me.”
“...”
“Please, I need him gone,” he pleaded like never before, Emily was surprised. “I need to be able to forgive my parents and move on from that damned past.”
“Hmmm...”
She scratched her head furiously as she groaned.
“Why do you always put me in such difficult situations?”
“I will--”
Emily held out her palm, stopping him.
“Fine.”
Not believing her reply, an extremely happy expression blossomed over his face.
“Wait, really?”
Those glittering eyes caused Emily to avert her gaze.
“Yes, yes, yes. Now leave.”
“Great!” he stood up excitedly and vanished into thin air.
She rolled her eyes as she slumped over the table.
“God, I hate him,” she groaned.
“What was that all about?” Mikasa shouted from the back of the cafe.
“Nothing, he was just up to his usual shenanigans by making us do the work and not himself.”
Emily had enough of Nazar’s ‘shenanigans’, it seems.
Mikasa walked to the main floor of the shop while drying her hands with a towel.

“So, what does he REALLY want you to do?”
Emily hesitated to speak the truth.
“Mom, you know I have never killed anyone, right?”
Mikasa did not say anything but took a seat opposite Emily.
“I mean, not directly, at least. I have not killed anyone directly. My body has, but not me. You get me?”
I mean, I did kill Nazar a few times and a lot of his personalities, but… Does that even count? Are those personalities even alive in the first place? She felt very bad for lying to her mom. Ugh, I hate lying to mom like this.
“Yeah,” Mikasa nodded. “Of course, sweetie.”
“Well, I guess I would need to change that soon.”
Mikasa’s eyes widened.
She stiffly moved her arms and placed it on the table.
“Wh-what…?”
“It’s… complicated.”
“Then please uncomplicate it,” Mikasa’s voice carried a lot of weight.
Seeing the anger in Mikasa’s eyes, Emily gulped.
“It’s...”
Emily scratched the side of her furiously.
Ah, damn you, NAZAR! She thought angrily. I take back my thanks, you moron!!
“Do you remember how Nazar was in the old… world?”
Mikasa nodded to reply.
“To simplify it; every event in his life spawns a new personality. The one you knew was the dominant one for most of his life. That emotionless guy is… I don’t want to say evil, but he is definitely not a good person and is holding back Nazar and...”
She continued to mutter something which Mikasa couldn’t make out.
“Anyway, he asked me to kill that personality of his.”
Naturally, Mikasa was very confused.
“If I don’t get rid of that personality, it could lead to quite a lot of horrible things.”
WHY AM I LYING FOR HIM?!
“I see,” Mikasa spoke uncomfortably.
“Mom--”
“But I hope you don’t make a habit of this, Em,” Mikasa’s stern tone caused Emily to nod stiffly.
“Y-yeah, of-- Of course.”
Mikasa forced a smile on her face and got up.
Emily pressed her lips together in anger.
Why did I agree to your request, you dumb fucking bitch!
Mikasa looked down at Emily and asked a question.
“Speaking of, there is something I don’t understand.”
“Hm?” worry washed over her face as she looked up to her mother.
“Why do you love him?”
Emily’s mouth opened and closed like a goldfish as she tried to come up with an answer.
“And for once, I would like an honest answer.”
Seeing the glare in Mikasa’s eyes, Emily knew she couldn’t lie her way out of it this time, so she looked down.
Biting her lip, she placed her right hand on her belly.
“I...”
With every word that came out of Emily’s mouth, Mikasa’ mouth and eyes widened in disbelief.
Fast forward to the next day, Emily floated in front of the Hall residence with her hands lit up with white energy.
“So long, old friend,” her voice carried a lot of sadness and regret. “It had to be done.”
Emily knew Nazar since they were young. The emotionless Nazar was the closest to her and now it was she who killed him permanently.
The moment the emotionless one found emotions and forgave his mother, his existence started to wither out of existence.
However, if Emily hadn’t made sure he died forever, there was a high possibility he could have come back.
Nazar could also accidentally remake him, so now that Emily got rid of him, it means he won’t be back.
“Please don’t come back.”
She took a deep breath before blasting away towards space.

Unknown place:
How did it all start? In a dark place, lying on a large bed, the Queen of Virrasil stretched her arms. When did I become so…?
She stared at the dark ceiling and thought about her world.
This will be your world, daughter. Ruling Virrasil means you rule…
The omniverse, right, father?
Indeed, princess. We created these worlds and we must rule over them as Gods. That is your duty, future queen.
She remembered her conversation with her father.
My princess, we will implement the law soon.
Is… that... so?
I don’t understand, my princess. This is the law your father has created. You will be the last being to be born to our people. You are special. Perhaps the most special being in existence.
Special, huh?
My p-princes... What’s with that t-twisted smile?
Hehe… HAHA!
Your m-m-majesty--URK?!
Shhh. Vager, you said I am special, right?
....
Oh right, you are dead. Haha, my bad.
The queen chuckled while reminiscing about the time where she was officially made the most special being in the universe. She was the last of the Gods. She was the crown princess of Virrasil, the world of the Gods. The rulers of everything.
“Ah...”
From her bed, she glanced at the corner of the darkroom.
“Should I kill this failure…?”
She let out a heavy sigh.
No, I am the walking failure.
Although her thoughts suggested regret, she was feeling something different.
I am sorry, my subjects. I have been walking the path of failure. I have so far and yet I constantly fail against a mere human. And work for…
The queen bit her lip angrily.
Isn’t it a hero’s job to fail and struggle against a villain? So, why is it the opposite for me? Why do I, the villain, fail against the hero?
At that moment, she remembered something from billions of years ago.
My queen, you-- You defeated Null?
Of course, Kalm. I am, after all, the supreme ruler of the omniverse.
You are a hero, my queen. You have defeated the fiend that is darkness.
Heh, of course.
While reminiscing about the ancient past, a bitter smile formed on her face.
Hero, huh?
She stood up.
A hero? Haha.
She shook her head.
I am above the concept of heroes and villains. And so is he.
She took a deep breath as she stared at the dark corner once more.
But I am not above the concept of good and evil.
A thin smile ripped her face in half.
So, that’s why…
The queen walked towards the dark corner of the room.
I will choose to be...
It seems there was someone in that corner, so she lifted them up with her hand.
Holding the person’s head in the palm of her hand, her smile became thinner and thinner while her purple eyes flared brighter than the sun.
EVIL!
Splort! That was the sound made by the head of someone being crushed in her palm.
Blood spurted from the dead body and covered her face.
Evil always loses? No, that’s just nonsense. I will win.
The queen started to lick the blood of her face with her snake-like long tongue.
No matter what happens, I will achieve my goals. I will resurrect my people and rule over everything--
She laughed at her own goals and ideals.
“Bring back my people? Haha, what a joke!”
With bloodshot eyes, she swung a fist and punched the darkness, which sent ripples across the creation and caused Null to groan.
No, the only thing I want to do is look down on my father and tell him that I am better than he ever was.
She took a deep breath.
The blood on her started to vanish.
“And I am going to win. No matter what,” a determined smile appeared on her face.
The queen spread her arms wide.
Around her beautiful snow-like skin, a black veil appeared. Slowly, it covered her beautiful petite body, including her hands.
The dark veil hardened like shiny metal, creating a skintight armour.
Hm, this will increase my movement greatly compared to that dress.
A huge emblem appeared on her chest, similar to the mask she uses.
The emblem consists of a triangular shape inside a circle made of a dragon, with an eagle-like creature sitting on top of the circle. There is an arrow piercing something inside the triangular shape. Inside the triangular shape, it is a circular world with chess pieces on it here and there. The planet is also covered by another circular shape like the rainbow but instead, it's made of red energy.
The emblem has many colours which change regularly but the red energy doesn't.
Ah, Virrasil… She felt a little sad thinking about her homeworld. But only a little and for a second.
Thin purple vertical energy lines appeared from her shoulder at arm's length, and from her waist at ankle length.
Hm?
She spun her arm at the elbow.
This is...
The movement wasn’t very smooth.
So, she proceeded to spin her arm at the shoulder.
Hmmmm.
Then she swung her arm and threw a punch.
The movement of it was not satisfactory.
“Tch,” she clicked her tongue in displeasure.
Before making any changes, she decided to throw a high kick.
I guess I will revert it to the original substance at the sockets and joints.
And so, the armour changed.
“Let’s see...” she decided to check it’s mobility once more.
This time, the result was satisfactory.
“Mm,” her beautiful red lips curled up and formed a small smile. “That’s good.”
However, the smile turned into displeasure once more as her face twitched.
“Hrm?”
She forcefully rotated her neck to the left and looked at the corner.
“Oh, it’s you.”
She was alarmed for no apparent reason.
“Don’t… hurt… me… again...” spoke a faint voice full of sorrow and pain. “Please.”
“Hehe...”
Her answer to the painful request of the voice was a burst of sinister laughter.
“Gyahahahahahah!!”
လလလ
Nazar stared at the Supreme One with complicated feelings.
The Supreme One had spoken a few words which caused Nazar to widen his eyes and gape his jaw.
His understanding of the universe they lived in changed completely.
But it all made sense at the end.
Emily told him something a while ago, which adds up well with what the Supreme One is saying.
“Before you killed him-- Us, we absorbed a bit of Arosus’ power. And in there, we saw something. A glimpse. A glimpse of something... Or someone. He looked like you-- And him.”
“What are you…?”
“At the moment of his creation, the Nameless One got a glimpse of this being who looked like you and him. But I only found out about it after absorbing Arosus.”
“Someone starting at… What?”
“No idea, mate.”
The Dragon’s message resounded in his mind. He spoke of the Queen as if he knew her well. However, the Queen isn’t from this Ultraverse.
“&S£@? is coming. She is the greatest enemy you will face yet. You must prepare yourself for her.”
That can only mean one thing, possibly the Dragon is not from this Ultraverse either.
But from where? Nazar bit his thumb as he thought. Ah.
Nazar remembered what Emily said about there existing thousands of Ultraverses.
“There are more than one Ultraverse. In fact, there are thousands.”
Which was soon confirmed by Nazar when he was thrown to another Ultraverse and when the Queen mentioned something.
“I ruled over millions and millions of people. Each one of them was able to create their own Ultraverses and Megaverses. They could destroy them with just a thought. Making and remaking. That’s who I ruled over."
Everything was unravelling before him.
Nazar remembered the time when he mentioned the Dragon in front of the Queen and she reacted strongly to it.
But why would she do that?
Unless…
Yes, that’s right.
They have a history.
But to what extent? How do they know each other? Why would they know each other? Why would the Dragon live in this Ultraverse? What is his role in Nazar’s war against the Queen? Is he even a player?
Nazar shook his head as he focused on what the Supreme One said.
“Hmm.”
It made sense what the Supreme One had said. It made perfect sense.
The Nameless One had gotten a glimpse of a being at his creation.
Arosus too had mentioned how he doesn’t know anything about the Dragon, similarly to how Nazar can’t learn anything about the Queen.
So.
“Let me repeat...” the Supreme One leaned forward in his seat.
But even then, Nazar could not believe what he was hearing.
No, he just did not want to believe that.
“The Dragon is our creator.”
Nazar drew in a breath as he leaned forward in his seat.
“I have something I need to tell you too.”
“Oh?”
“The Dragon and the Queen of Virrasil are...”

***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
