Chapter 119

Arc 14 - Absolute Wish - Part 3

29th of June - Monarcity, Chochica Empire:

Nazar was urgently called to Monarcity later that night.

He sat on his throne and looked at the audience. In front of him, over 200 people stood. Each one was from a different universe or different species.

“Hm,” Nazar glanced at everyone, looking for a certain someone. “He isn’t here yet?”

Baros, who was standing next to Nazar’s throne, leaned forward and spoke slowly to Nazar, “Are you sure about this?”

“It’s necessary. I need to protect this kingdom while I am busy.”

“And Earth?”

“No need to worry about that, Norse God should be able to keep it safe.”

“I see,” Baros stood back up straight and breathed a sigh of relief. Nazar “If you say so.”

“About...”

Nazar was not sure whether he wanted to continue asking the question or now.

It was a delicate matter for Lian, who was standing near his throne and trying to keep a track of all these mercenaries.

For the last few days, she avoided Nazar because she was embarrassed of her failure in the courtroom.

Nazar did tell her that it was not her fault, but even then, she was beating herself over it.

So, he decided that he will not ask a question about a certain someone.

“Nevermind.”

He glanced at Lian again with a complex expression.

Baros saw the complicated look on Nazar’s face and wondered what was wrong.

“I am sure Afshahan will be here shortly.”

His guess was wrong.

“Huh?” Nazar looked up at him, wondering what he was talking about. “Uh? Oh. Ah. Right. Yeah-- Ah!"

"Hm?" Baros tilted his head to the right in a confused manner.

"Have you guys thought of anyone who can help testify for me in court?"

"I am sorry, but nobody comes to the mind of either of us who can help you."

"Damn," he breathed out depressingly. "I, too, tried but nobody comes to mind… Damn it! I should have made more friends in higher places."

Baros couldn't do anything but smile stiffly.

"Correction; someone in a higher place who is well known across the multiverse and people will accept his words."

Baros smiled stiffly as he tilted his head slightly.

"Second correction; someone in a higher place who is well known across the multiverse and people will accept their words and someone who will come forward to help me out when I need their help. And--"

Nazar’s depressed expression was replaced in reflex by a serious one as he narrowed his red flaring eyes.

Baros was not sure what was happening, but Nazar stood up in reflex.

From the throne’s shadow, a man in a shiny black armour raised.

Nazar had sensed someone coming through the shadows.

Seeing the person come out of the shadows, Baros’ body tensed, so in Baros’ hand, an Excalibur-like sword appeared.

Tightening his hold on the grip, he readied to defend those weaker than him.

Of course, when Nazar is around, someone like him wouldn’t even count for much, but he knows that Nazar sometimes forgets about the weaker people and think they can take care of themselves.

It’s a terrible habit of Nazar and Solace’s, they think that everyone is a powerful individual who can save themselves.

“Afshahan.”

“Nazar.”

The King of Chochica Empire and the Dark God of Destruction stood face-to-face, with only a throne between them.

Baros knows of their not-so-good history.

“Two of the most powerful humans in existence stand face-to-face once more, so what do you say… Wanna duke it out, white boy?”

Nazar snorted in confusion, “White boy?” he muttered slowly.

He wanted to correct him, but he remembered something Afshahan told him years ago.

Brown, light brown, white... You light skins all look the same to me.

So, he just let out a heavy sigh.

Afshahan ignored that and chuckled.

“If you have grown a sissy, then I guess that would leave me as the most powerful human in existence.”

Nazar breathed out exasperatedly.

“I have had my fair share of battles recently, so maybe next time.”

“Che,” Afshahan spat out, “You have really become a sissy.”

Nazar wondered what he meant by “sissy” but he did not show it on his face.

“Leaving that aside, was it really necessary to have such a flashy appearance?”

“Heh,” although Nazar couldn’t see his face through the mask, he knew that Afshahan was wearing a smug smile on his face. “I prefer appearances over… What is the word? Result? Perhaps. I preserve my image over everything else.”

Nazar furrowed his brows.

"But you do know, I will win if we were to fight, right?"

Nazar's face twitched.

For some reasons, Nazar didn't like that.

"Energy is energy, Afshahan. Nuclear, cosmic, photon, kinetic, magic…"

A thin smile befitting of a supervillain appeared on Nazar's face.

"Darkness too."

"Ooo. You have stepped up your threats. It sucked ass in the old days. Impressive."

The comedic tone of Afshahan vanished when he vanished into thin air and stood alongside the other Shadows - his mercenaries from the organisation he made, the Silent Shadows.

“So, when are you going to fix this?”

Nazar sat on his throne with a displeased look.

“I know you were powerful but I did not expect you to be this powerful. Powerful enough to destroy time,” Afshahan smirked under his helmet. “I am impressed.”

“I hear a but coming.”

“Yes,” he sounded very serious all of a sudden. “We had a deal, Nazar. I was supposed to be the strongest human in the eyes of everyone. My image is shattering around me. You didn’t like attention or praise. So, in return for us helping you now, I will need YOU to fix that too.”

Nazar drew in a breath and the right corner of his lips curled into a half-smile.

“Sure, you got the deal, Afshahan.”

Nazar won’t lose anything in this deal. He doesn’t like the attention anyway.

“I will get it--”

A stroke of light flashed across Nazar’s mind.

“How about I add another service to the package?”

Afshahan was confused.

“Will you testify for me in the court? You are somewhat famous in the multiverse so I think--”

“Lemme think about that,” Afshahan raised his hand to his face and tapped his cheek with his index finger for a moment. “How about no?”

Nazar was expecting that, but even then, he was disappointed.

“Worth a shot,” he muttered.

“Anyway, leaving that aside… Can you really pay us the promised amount?”

“Of course.”

Baros wanted to say something, but Nazar raised his hand, stopping him.

“It will come out of my very own pocket and not the empire.”

Both Baros and Lian looked down at Nazar in reflex with surprised looks on their faces.

“Huh?!”

“Huh?!”

When they spoke a few days ago, they agreed to pay the amount from the Empire’s treasury, even if it was too much for them at the moment. The rest of the universe has put trade sanctions on the Chochica Empire, so their economy is in trouble.

“What are you doing?” Baros whispered to Nazar. “The amount of money--”

“It’s cool. I have got more than enough.”

Nazar stood up with force.

“Afshahan!”

“Sup, sis?”

Despite how much hurt he was over his insults, he ignored that and continued to speak.

“Half of your payment will be sent to you today and then rest will be sent after the job is done completely. You are to protect this Empire, every single planet, alright?”

Afshanan nodded at Nazar’s order.

Since I made this decision on the spot...

“And I will pay you extra to keep Earth safe too. No MATTER what happens, understand?”

“Yes, bossman.”

Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy.

“First half of your money has been sent,” Nazar forced a smile as his eyes returned to normal. “Now go, your job just began!”

Under the helmet, Afshahan smirked.

“You got it!”

All of the mercenaries vanished into thin air.

“Ah, I have also employed the Jabalot Empire to keep this empire safe. For extra protection.”

Plymouth, UK:

“But before that, Supreme One, let’s play a game.”

Nazar was about to tell the Supreme One something about the Queen and the Dragon, but instead, he smiled thinly and suggested something stupid.

“The basic game of numbers. Choose a number between 1 and 10. Give me 5 numbers.”

The Supreme One was confused, but he nodded. He needed that information. He was desperate for this information, even though he was not sure it would prove useful to him.

“2, 5, 6, 8, and 9.”

Nazar smiled thinly.

“You called me?” Emma entered the living room a few moments later, confused.

Her confusion skyrocketed once she saw this being made of energy.

“Thank you, Emma.”

“No problem… But what do you need?”

She glanced at Nazar and spoke slowly.

The other person was scaring her a lot.

“And who is that?”

“That...”

Nazar looked at the Supreme One, signalled him with his eyes to introduce himself.

“I am the Supreme One,” the God of this Ultraverse spoke. “The creator of this multiverse.”

Emma’s body tensed up as she swallowed her saliva.

“Hu--*Ahem*. Huh?”

“Forget that, Emma.”

Emma was not sure if she could just forget this.

But either way, she cleared her throat once more and said, “S-sure.”

“Pick a number between 1 and 10.”

"What?"

"He has chosen 5 out of 10 numbers. So, give me a random number and if it matches one of the numbers he mentioned before, I win. But if you get it wrong, he wins."

Emma wondered if her brother had gone crazy due to recent events, but instead, she sighed.

“6.”

A thin smile appeared on his face once more.

“Bang!”

Nazar spoke a single word which caused the energy arm of the Supreme One to fall off.

The Supreme One looked at his right hand that was lying on the sofa next to him.

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

Both Emma and the Supreme One blurted out at once.

The Supreme One tried to reattach his arm but it did not work.

He is a being made of energy. He has lost his limb before but it came back to him immediately.

This time, however, is different.

The Supreme One looked Nazar in the eyes and knew what was happening.

This was the supreme God of everything standing before him. The only being who ever achieved omnipotence. The person who stands at the top of everyone and everything.

The Supreme One finally realised whom he was standing before.

One mistake, and it could cost him his life.

Tread carefully, Supremer. The being who created this Ultraverse thought to himself. This man can destroy you with but a mere thought.

If Lucifer ever killed the Supreme One, he can come back after a while, similarly to how the Nameless One did.

But if Nazar killed him, he would die forever.

“What are you doing?” Emma shouted at him angrily.

“It’s okay, child of Lucifer.”

Emma looked at the Supreme One in reflex.

“My father is Lucifer?” she muttered to herself in a confused manner. “The hell?”

The Supreme One heard that, so he chuckled.

“He means that humans are created by Lucifer.”

“Ah-h-h… I see.”

“Pick another number, please.”

Emma took a minute to pause before uttering her number.

“8.”

“Bang!”

The other arm of the Nameless One fell off too.

The supreme creator of this Ultraverse glanced at his left arm.

He could no longer feel it. And he tried very hard, but he could not regenerate it.

That arm contained enough power to destroy universes after universes, so when it was detached from the Supreme One and fell down, it should have done considerable damage to the Ultraverse.

But it didn’t happen.

Higher-dimensional beings like the Nameless One are too vast to be contained in a small universe like this, which is why they take on a physical shell. If their physical shell is destroyed, their real self will be unaffected.

It is the same for the Supreme One, but he does not have a physical shell.*

Pride is a terrible thing and it has caused the demise of many.

So, when Nazar got rid of the Supreme One’s arms, he lost that part of his existence and can’t get it back anymore.

Why is the universe not destroyed yet?

He glanced at Nazar just once and immediately knew what had happened.

Nazar had negated the power of his arms. It no longer existed.

“What are you doing, Nazar?!”

Nazar glanced at his angry sister. Contrary to her, he had a very calm look on her face.

“This person is one of the few who ruined my entire existence. I am what I am because of someone like him and a few others.”

“...”

Emma was not sure what to say, so she just swallowed her saliva.

“He is correct, child of Lucifer.”

She glanced at the Supreme One with complicated feelings.

Emma always kept an open mind when it came to Nazar’s power and status.

But she was not sure what to think anymore.

“Pay it no heed. This is nothing,” he lied, which caused Nazar to grit his teeth in anger.

“One and final number, Emma,” Nazar faced the Supreme One once more lividly. “Please.”

“...”

Emma took even longer to pick a number.

She had a rough idea of what the final few numbers might be.

When asked for numbers between 1 and 10, people are less likely to choose the first and the last number. Which means 1 and 10 are not part of this. **

So.

“10.”

Nazar clicked his tongue before letting out a heavy disappointed sigh.

As always she will pick the even numbers no matter what. Nazar was quite disappointed. Oh well, I was expecting that he won't die today.

“If she had picked 9, you would have been dead now.”

Emma looked at Nazar and then the Supreme One.

WHATEVER THE FUCKING IS HAPPENING TO MY LIFFFFFEEEE?????????? She tried to not show her worries on her face.

In a place far away, where neither time nor space exists, a beast that resembled many fantastical creatures floated.

This beast had teeth that resembled orcs, white eyes that resembled a Griffin, a bignose that resembled a Unicorn, two horns that resembled the demons, ears that resembled the dwarves, and a face shape that resembles a gorilla. The beast had legs that resembled a werewolf and arms that resembled the Fenrir. Its body was covered in hair completely. It had long and wavy hair on its head.

The God Eater.

A creature created by the Queen who can steal the energies of Nazar like no other being.

After his apparent death, the Queen revived him but with a new mission in mind.

Find the being known as Ikeiss, the Eternal. Or as most know him as the Dragon.

The beast has been searching for the Dragon for a long time.

In this timeless place, he counted every second that passed, so according to his calculations, he has been searching for the dragon for 150 years.

A short while ago, he found the Dragon.

His mission was meant to come to an end.

However, before he could reach him, the Dragon had left for another place. The best could not do anything but grit his teeth in anger.

But deep down, he was feeling the opposite.

To keep his promise to his mistress, he threw away those meaningless feelings and continued to look for the Dragon.

If he does give up, his mistress will kill him.

So, he continued to search and search.

At last, after a long battle against empty space, he finally found the one he was looking for.

His master’s greatest enemy perhaps.

“D...”

He stood before a being of unimaginable power.

Sensing the power outcome, God Eater gulped in fear.

His power was greater than Nazar who defeated him not too long ago.

The God Eater looked down at his shivering body.

Wh-what…?

He was scared.

No...

He clenched his fist as he threw away those weak emotions.

Taking a deep breath, he spoke.

“DRAGON!” the beast growled loudly in this soundless place.

“HRM,” spoke a being that was larger than everything and smaller than an atom. It was everything and nothing. It was the blood of the living and the air which they bred. It was the darkness and the light. It was nothing and everything. “THIS IS SURPRISING.”

This was the Dragon. Ikeiss, the Eternal.

His power, it can rival the other person who was with the mistress.

“IT SEEMS I HAVE BEEN FOUND. DID @&0&05-- {AH, HE IS STILL BLOCKING HIS NAME. I AM IMPRESSED YOU KEPT IT UP FOR THIS LONG.} DID HE SEND YOU?”

“My master requires you--”

“YOUR MASTER REQUIRES NOTHING, PAWN. IF YOUR MASTER TRULY WANTED TO FIND ME, HE WOULD HAVE. NOW LEAVE, BEAST! I DO NOT HAVE TIME--”

“No matter what, you will come with me!”

His conviction was there.

He truly believes he can take the Dragon to his master.

“HRM,” the Dragon was amused. “FUTILE.”

“URK?!”

The beast was thrown away by a force unknown to him.

He grasped for that energy and tried to absorb it, but it was more alien than anything he has seen.

In the many years, he has been searching for the dragon, he has visited many places and has tasted many forms of energies, which also means his powers have grown exponentially. Even then, he was thrown far away.

“OH?”

The Dragon peered into the mind of this beast.

“AH, IS THAT SO. I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED THAT YOu met with God,” halfway through his speech, his form changed. He resembled a humanoid being of energy. “I can taste him within you, beast. And his...” he muttered something out but the beast heard him, which caused him to grit his teeth.

The Dragon spread his right arm forward.

“Come to me, beast.”

Clasping the beast who was millions of miles away, he pulled him in.

The beast was forcefully brought to limply float before him.

The force that was holding him in this place was greater than anything.

Not only was he physically immovable, but his mind was also frozen. He could not think of something new.

“You are an interesting being, I shall listen to your TRUE request, not the one on the surface.”

“...”

The beast could not reply, he could only taste blood in his mouth.

“If you beg me, I will help you and I shall tell you a tale.”

The beast tried to move his lips and agree to the Dragon’s request.

“Do you want to hear a story, beast? The story of your master and our history and...”

He wanted to scream yes. He wanted to know.

But words won’t come out.

“How I...”

On the faceless head, a black shape appeared, creating a mouth which was smiling thinly.

With every word that came out, the beast widened his eyes and forgot about the pain he was in.

“An interesting story, don’t you agree, my furry friend?”

The God Eater could not do anything but nod.

“Then let’s speak at once. And in return...”

He brought the beast closer to him and whispered his conditions to the beast.

“Take your time, child of the false God, I have all the time.”

“...”

The beast looked down.

“...Y-Yes,” he nodded.

“Good, good.”

The energy being went to his former form once again.

“LET ME TELL YOU THE TALE OF VIRRASIL!”

Virrasil, the world the Queen ruled over. Virrasil, the world of the Gods.

“AND THE TALE OF THE WORLD...”

The World.

“THE REALM OF THE STORIES. THE ORIGIN OF EVERYTHING.”
