Chapter 147.10
Arc 14.5 - God of Stories - Part 10
The Eight Dimensional Plane of Existence has been destroyed accidentally by the dragonoid Nazar and he escaped the cosmic phenomenon with his sister and stayed safe.
In the Third Dimensional Plane of Existence, Nazar in his room, let Emma stand on her own feet.
“So, how was it?” Nazar asked his sister with a curious smile. “Wicked awesome, right?”
“No,” she spoke exasperatedly, “no, no, no. That was not awesome. I couldn’t see anything. And shouldn’t you be thinking of fixing this problem.”
Nazar’s shoulders shrunk low as he let out a soft grunt.
“I really should before Lucifer finds out again.”
Nazar stood straight.
“Alright!”
He held up hands as they lit up with air.
To Emma, it seemed as if Nazar was clutching onto the empty air.
“Before you begin, I want to ask, where is Laura?”
“I don’t know, but she is happy.”
A worried face washed over her face.
“Huh?”
“It’s… complicated.”
“What happened?” she narrowed her grey eyes.
“What’s-his-name did something to her and now she hates me.”
“Oh...” Emma was not sure about the specifics of it, so she asked, “And then?”
“Well, her brother came and took her away, saving her. Something which I couldn’t do, it seems.”
“What do you mean by that?”
Nazar, narrowing his eyes, turned around and faced the bathroom door.
“Hm?”
Emma followed suit and looked behind her.
“Uh??”
She looked back at Nazar, who shrugged in a confused manner.
“Why do you mean by my brother?”
Laura, standing in the doorway of the bathroom, crossed her arms around her chest.
“Hm, do you not remember?” not coming with an answer to what happened, he asked directly.
Laura stared at him in confusion for a brief moment before shaking her head.
“Remember what?”
“Huh...”
Nazar looked away and focused on his task at hand.
Emma still was not sure what he was staring and clutching onto nothing but air.
His hands moved, as if operating a computer keyboard for a split second, but she was not sure what was happening.
“It seems when he-- We--” Nazar clicked his tongue. “It seems when I raised an infinity earlier on, it brought back a certain place to its rightful place, or closest to its rightful place, so to fix everything, the cosmos took a slight step back and fixed everything that X had done. However, since I accidentally destroyed the higher plane, that certain place is coming back down slowly.”
Emma scratched the back of her head, not understanding anything.
She looked at Laura, hoping she would have an answer, but Laura shook her head with her eyes closed, causing Emma to frown.
“Speak English. None of us get it here.”
“.... Hrm, take out the phone from my pocket.”
“I am not taking anything out of anyone’s pocket.”
Nazar rolled his eyes.
“Laura, please?”
“Alright,” Laura walked for a moment and stood next to him. She inserted her hand into his pocket and pulled out a phone.
She quickly handed Emma the phone.
“Thanks,” she smiled softly.
- Guest mode activated. -
An automated voice on the phone spoke, causing Emma’s shoulders to jump.
She looked at Nazar with an expression that said, seriously?
Emma tirelessly let out a mouthful of air.
“Oh, I forgot that whenever it senses someone else trying to use it, it enters an automatic guest mode.”

“Oh my, I wonder what you are hiding,” Emma teased.
“...Nothing.”
“Thank god for this guest mode or else I might have come across a shirtless picture of you or someone else. Or worse. I would rather die than see anything like that. And if I were to see it, I will kill myself and then I will kill you.”
Laura closed her eyes blissfully, as if she was thankful for something.
“I would never show my skin. It’s embarrassing, weird… and just not something I would ever do.”
“What are you a girl?” Emma shot a sharp mocking glance at Nazar.
“I don’t think you have much room to talk,” he said slowly but Emma heard him.
“Did… Did you hear?”
With a hint of guilt, Nazar nodded his head.
"Odd coming from me, but you really shouldn’t-- Forget I said anything.”
Laura looked at Nazar’s back and then Emma, wondering what had happened.
However, she could not come up with any answer.
“No, no, I get it… Kinda hypocritical of me when I told you the exact same thing a few days ago,” Emma looked down feeling a little shameful. “But in any case, did you...”
Nazar glanced at his stuttering sister and said, “Yes, I did. I hear a lot of things I don’t want to. Some by accident, some because I forget to turn off my power or tune out what to hear.”
Laura said, “What are you...”, then it suddenly struck her, “Ah. About the other day,” she muttered. “This is awkward.”
“I know why you are worried, and I am sorry, but please, just… Just give me a few weeks. I will fix it. Not hopefully, but WILL.”
His hands stopped moving for a brief second as he looked down at himself.
“The last few modifications I needed have been made.”
“I see...” Emma nodded her head slightly.
“Do you need to modify yourself?” Laura asked with a lot of worry in her eyes.
“Indeed, without heavy modifications, I cannot utter a single word. Hell, I wouldn’t even exist.”
“...”
Emma looked up at Nazar with an apologetic look on her face.
However, before she could say anything, Nazar changed the topic, causing Emma to swallow her words.
“Anyway, open an app called [Cosmology].”
Emma operated through the phone and opened the calculator.
- Dummy mode activated. -
Hearing the voice on the phone, Nazar chuckled and Emma groaned.
- The observable universe is over 93 billion light years in size. The multiverse is made from billions upon billions of alternate universes. Each universe has an infinite number of timelines and possibilities available for it. Some timelines can become stable enough to turn into a universe of its own in the multiverse. -
Emma looked at him with her face twisted in confusion.
Nazar turned away and focused on his work with a shrug.
“Aiya, skip to infinities.”
- The multiverse is infinite, the layers above it are also infinite in size. Infinity plus infinity becomes an infinity. To give an example, look at it as a stream of water. The stream is infinite. But if you were to take a handful of water, does the stream remain infinite? -
Emma pouted her lips as she thought.
“Yes? And if you put back the water, it returns to its original state?”
- Correct! -
Hearing that praise, Emma became excited and said, “So, when you add that handful of water, it returns to its original state, but only after a splash and with slight changes.”

- Correct, again! Now, apply the same concept to the dimensional structure. If you remove a chunk infinity from infinity, it will still stay the same. So, if you were to add a chunk of infinity, it would return to its original state. -
“So… Okay, so, basically, he removed an infinity, right?”
- Yes. -
“Now since his other version added it, to fix that change, the universe had to take a step back.”
- Indeed. -
“Ahhh,” a knowing smile flourished on her face. “I see, I see. That does make sense.”
“That’s exactly what I said, though?” Nazar's grumpy voice was low, but audible by the other two, causing them to snicker.
“Ah, but how do I remember when she doesn’t?”
Emma handed the phone to Laura with a smile, thanking her.
“Simple, I was protecting you.”
“Hrm,” Emma seemed a little disappointed with the answer. “To be expected.”
“Anyway, I need to recreate the Eight Dimensional Plane of Existence, fixing the imbalance in the infinities. The outline of that plane is still intact, so I need to restore it before that certain place - whatever that might be - comes down, sending everything a step forward. So, if you don’t mind, you can keep that phone with you and ask Aiya, slowly please.”
“Okay, grandpa,” she seemed displeased.
Emma turned around to leave, but she remembered something, so she spun around abruptly and looked at Nazar.
"Ah! That’s right. I wanted to show you this."
"Hm?"
She went close and showed her phone screen to him.
"I don't know what's going on, but it seems there are a few… "positive" articles about you online. Wonder what's that about?"
Nazar smiled thinly.
"It's working."
"What is?" she sounded worried.
Her mind went in a very wrong direction, thinking he had done something to the world.
"I took your advice, sis. I am going to help the world, but not for free."
"..." Emma swallowed her saliva, feeling quite fearful.
"It's not that evil. I will tell you about it shortly."
She grunted softly.
"Fine. You better do."
Emma walked out of the room and Nazar continued to clutch onto the air.
Left alone in the room, Nazar glanced awkwardly at Laura.
“So, you don’t remember?”
“Remember what?” she sounded somewhat annoyed as she sat on the bed.
“Hm… I will tell you about it later. For now, let me fix this.”
“Yeah, works for me.”
She picked up her phone as she bit her thumb, thinking about what he said.
What did he mean by “her brother”?
"Thanks."
Something feels off. The dimension should have collapsed a long time ago, as if someone is keeping it safe? But… No, it can't be.
He shook his head, throwing away his thoughts.
However, it was harder than he had expected.
But seriously, who could it be? Arosus? Also… How do I know all of these? What am I even referring to when I say “certain place”? Hmmm. That is quite odd. I do know more than I did before but how exactly? When my personalities were not being used, did they perhaps have lives of their own? They couldn’t have been free, but it still seems they know-- knew more than me and had plans of their own.
He moved his hands again in the air as white energies flowed out of it.
The empty air made a whirring noise as he moved his fingers across it.
“Odd. Even if I were to leave this be, it might recover and be recreated by itself...” he muttered to himself. “Well, it does not matter, better be safe so I should remake the place without leaving it for fate to restore it.”
The whirring sound made by air became louder.
The high-pitched sound reached her, so Laura squinted her eyes as she covered her ears with her hands.
“Hey! What’s that?”
Without looking back, Nazar waved his hands at her, creating a sound barrier that blocked every sound except his.
“Oh, my bad, I did not expect it to make a sound.”
“But why is it making sound?” Laura asked with great curiosity.
“It’s just only humans and other lower life forms hear this sound. (No offense, by the way). They cannot comprehend a cosmic event of this level. The reasons it's making this sound… I am rewriting cosmology right now, even if it's by a small amount. Building anything makes a sound, no?”
Laura pouted her lips to one side as she thought.
“Hmmmm.”
“It creates a loud noise. Something like fixing a wire or maybe when you slide your hand across a hard and uneven surface. It’s… hard to explain. And you can only hear it because you are near me.”
“I see...” Laura was still very confused about it.
“The room is encased in a subspace of its own, so that’s why no one else can hear it.”
A thin smile appeared on Laura’s face.
“Ohh I see. So, I don’t need to hold back.”
“What you might be talking about, I wonder.”
Nazar smiled.
"Then again, every room has a subspace of its own. (This one was meant to be destroyed by X, but isn't)."
"I wonder why-- Oh! I hope it's what I think it is."
As her eyes widened in excitement, Nazar let out a small grunt.
"...Yes. When I was one, I came from another dimension and heard one thing a child should not hear from their parents' bedroom…"
He made a disgusted look as he stopped talking.
"Pfft," and Laura burst into laughter as she covered her arms around her belly. "Hahahaha!"
He shook his head and focused on the task at hand while she laughed and laughed.
It's not as fun when I am on the receiving end, huh?
A few years ago, he was talking to a friend who confessed they heard certain sounds when they were young and Nazar burst into laughter, making fun of him. Completely forgetting his own.
No, to be specific, he had removed that memory and remembered it only recently.
“AH!”
Laura's laughter suddenly stopped as she yelped out in a distressing tone. Worried, he glanced back at her.
“Wait, when you said “her brother”-- By any chance you meant...”
“Yes, he is alive.”
Her eyes widened as she stood up and walked closer to him.
“But… But...” Laura glanced down as she held her hands over her chest, anxiously.
Many thoughts ran through Laura’s mind.
She thought about how he survived and what happened to his family.
Before the reversal, she found out and was happy, but Laura cannot remember it.
“He seemed to have been in a timeless place alongside his wife and child. It was only recently that he escaped from it.”
“Oh… That’s...” Laura let out a sigh of relief. “That’s great. Thank you.”
“I was going to take you there later today.”
“Since when…?” she asked in a pessimistic tone, mixed with suspiciousness.
Nazar noticed her tone, so he spoke ambivalently, “No, no, I just figured it out when the universe was turned into words just moments ago. If I had known earlier, I would have told you.”
Seeing the stiff movement of Nazar’s mouth and body, Laura wanted to chuckle. She found it quite cute, although this was not the time snicker around.
“No,” she shook her head, “that’s not what I meant. I was asking about when he came out.”
“Oh, I think a few years, five or less, I think.”
"I see…"
She walked away from Nazar and stared out of the window, spaced out.
Nazar moved his hands and the whirring sound increased ever more.
He should have fixed this a long time ago, but something was bothering him, so he could not focus on the task at hand very well.
"Are you feeling okay?" he asked anxiously.
"...?"
Laura turned around with a confused look pasted on her face.
"Something seems a bit off about you today. Annoyed? Or angry?"
Could it be she actually remembers? Or just glimpses of it? Or did X made her changes permanent and she is scared to tell me? Or did I do something…
"Oh, it's nothing," she waved away her hand dismissively. "Just girl problems. I am sure you understand."
He relaxed his body in a relieved manner.
"Oh… Mental or physical?"
She went closer to him and gave him a light kick in the leg.
"I know that you know exactly what I am talking about. You are such an ass sometimes."
"What, I haven't done anything."
She looked at him with narrow eyes.
"Then why are you smiling?"
The smile from her lips vanished as she crossed her right arm across her chest and raised the other to tap her cheek with its index finger.
"Hmm, how could you not know considering you have a fem version of yourself? Hmmm."
"Hrk," Nazar's cheek twitched stiffly. "I am so glad she is dead now."
"Oh, that's sad… she seemed nice," Laura breathed a disappointed sigh.
“...”
Nazar rolled his eyes a little.
“...Fine, she might make a return one day if I felt like it.”
“Sweet.”
Laura sat back on the bed and Nazar focused on fixing his current problem.
Final modifications - connecting with my existence so it stays stable - are now dooooooooo-nnnnnnnn-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
After a few seconds, the whirring sound vanished, however his worries did not end there.
Abruptly, he held his hand at Laura and covered her in a beam.
Need to do the same to Emma.
The whole world-- No, the whole of creation shook as Nazar fixed the Eight Dimensional Plane of Existence.
Around Laura and Emma, white horizontal rectangles, setting the world back by an hour, however, those two were not affected.
The white rectangles vanished and Nazar relaxed his shoulders as the white energies on his hands vanished.
He stretched his arms as he smiled in a relieved manner.
“Phew. That was something.”
“Done?”
“Yep. (But I think Lucifer might have noticed it).”
Laura could not hear his rumbling, so she asked him an important question.
“About my brother, Marco...”
“Ah, that’s right,” Nazar clicked his fingers together with a happy smile. “I will teleport you there now.”
“Wait, not now,” Laura reached out his hand towards him. “At least let me get changed. Also...” she glanced at the phone. “What happened? Time went back?”
“It went back by an hour or so. Don’t worry about it. I had to make sure nothing bad he did was left behind.”
“Ah...” Laura lied down on the bed and smiled in a complicated manner. “You make all this seem so small.”
Laura stared at the ceiling with a distant look in her eyes.
“How do you see the world?”
“...”
Nazar pursed his lips as he thought, trying to find the best way to word his answer. However, nothing came out so he puffed out a mouthful of air and let his shoulders droop low.
He did not want to answer this question, but there was no other choice.
“How do you look at ants?” Nazar shook his head. “Actually, scratch that. How do you look at atoms?”
“Ant… I don’t think any of it. As for atoms, I do not even see it.”
“Unfortunately, that's how I see galaxies and universes. The scope of a cosmic event like this,” he waved his hand through the air. Dozens of glowing yellow dots appeared. A white glowing yellow line connected every dot together. “What you are witnessing right now is combining universes and dozens of timelines I just made, although it has no living creatures within it.”
Laura gasped in surprise.
“I can merge it with a snap,” he clicked his fingers together and the dot became one, although the size stayed the same. “And bring it back to its original state.”
Dozens of dots appeared alongside the yellow glowing line, connecting them.
“The only reason I don’t do anything is because it’s boring and pointless…” his tone slowly turned gloomy and dull. Before his tone sunk even lower, he shook his head and smiled, changing the topic. “Anyway, that’s boring and unnecessary, but there is something I wanted to confirm.”
Still staring at the ceiling, Laura swallowed her saliva to wet her dry throat and spoke slowly, “Sure, what is it?”
“When did we get together?”
“October…”
“I see, I see…”
Although they are fuzzy - because that bastard deleted my memories - she might be right. This is one piece of the puzzle which I have put together.
“Ah,” she sat up with great interest, which had a hint of suspicion mixed into it. “You said you cannot remember?”
“Until now, that is. But these memories are still hazy. Around that time, mostly, another personality was taking control. But I am starting to piece them together and it seems he might have been lying, which is good.”
Seeing the relieved smile on his face, she wondered what that personality was lying about.
“What do you mean?”
“Oh, it’s nothing,” he dismissed it with a wave of his hand. “You ought to get ready, I should take you where you brother is.”
“Oh, alright,” she stood, although quite lazily and walked towards the bathroom.
Being left alone, Nazar's face twisted in anger.
"Damn it!" he clenched his fist with a click of his tongue.
