《Dimensional Market System》(VI)

When Oreth woke up he found a dark unfamiliar ceiling, he quickly stood up and found himself in a room that closely resembled a hospital room.
He was confused for a second but the memory of what had occurred caused him to pat down his whole body. When he double-checked that he still had all the parts of his body and that he had escaped the tragic end that Turgas had, he jumped back down and took a deep breath.
"Phew, I'm still alive and in one piece. Can't believe I nearly died because of the stupidity of that idiot. Also, I need to be more careful with the way that I speak, I don't want to die for offending someone else by saying something stupid now whe...."
"You got that right Oreth, you gotta watch that tongue of yours. If it would have been anyone else other than me you'd be pretty screwed."
Oreth froze for a second, he could feel his blood turn cold. He quickly turned around and looked at the direction that he had heard the voice from but there was nothing. He was the only one in the room.
Suddenly in front of him, a grey light appeared and it began to rise showing more and more of a body. Since it was a uniform it was hard to see who it was from until the head was revealed but Oreth could already tell who it was from based on the voice he had heard earlier. That and the reason that the grey light was from space magic and there weren't many demons with the space attribute.
When Vernes body was shown completely he smiled and waved, "Hello there, hope you are feeling better. Now then I while I was listening to you just now you mentioned that you nearly died because of someone stupid. Do you mind me asking who you were talking about?"

Oreth looked at the blue-haired demon and couldn't help but sigh and sat down on the bed, 'Seriously? What the hell is it with me getting on the bad side of demons? How come all the MC's in the other mangas get so lucky and here I am stuck with this bastard.'
"I was talking about Turgas, he punched me simply because I wanted to avoid getting into even more trouble with him and the idiot just had to punch me towards you. If it would have been another demon that had a similar background and power level to me then maybe I could have gotten away. However, luck wasn't on my side and I landed on you sooooo,,,, what now? I figure that you didn't wait for me using some kind of cloaking magic just because you were worried about me did you?"
Vernes laughed and brought out a bottle and cups from a miniature portal that appeared in his left hand. "Well not exactly, I only gave you a small slap after all, not like you would die from that. I just came here to thank you and ask you a question."
Orteh straightened himself up from bed, "Thank me? For what?"
The blue demon poured a drink into one of the cups and extended his hand to give the cup to Oreth. He wasn't exactly sure what Vernes was planning but he knew that the demon could simply kill him easily if he wanted to so he took the drink. It turned out to be some kind of alcoholic drink.
"For giving me an excuse to kill Turgas, that damn demon had been getting on my bad side for a while now. All the noise he made since his brother was accepted into the academy got in the way of my sleep."

Oreth would have thought that killing someone else because he was being to loud was too much, if it wasn't for the memories he had of demons being killed for less.
"Ummm okay, but why didn't you simply kill him? I mean it's not like you would have gotten in any trouble. I mean his brother is part of the Academy but I don't think that means much to you you could simply have him killed so why wait?."
Vernes laughed and shook his head "Anithal? You're not wrong, I'm not worried about him but I can't simply kill him for two reasons. In the Academy, background gets a little blurred, the only thing that matters is your power. This gives the weak demons a chance to raise from the waste they were born in. There have been several demons who were nothing but trash turn into some of the strongest once they entered the Academy. Anyway back on topic, I can't simply pay someone to kill Anithal in the academy, I would have to wait for him to come to me. That said I don't think that he is stupid enough to do that since my family would hunt him so I don't have to worry too much, unlike you haha."
When Oreth heard that last part he realized that the Anithal would blame him for what happened to his brother. It was his brother that punched him but he was the one who landed on Vernes and the one who blamed it on Turgas. Oreth doubted that Anithal would even put this much thought into the matter, if anything he would simply try to kill him to let out his anger.
"Well anything I do gets me killed, how long do you think it will take him to know what happened to his brother?"
Vernes shrugged and raised 3 fingers, "Let's say about three hours for him to get here. The one that took Turgas to the infirmary never came back to class, my guess is that he went straight to Turgas' father. By now they should be making their way to the academy."
Oreth nodded and stood up and headed towards the door, now that he was being chased by someone stronger than him he had no other choice other than to get the hell out of the city. The forest was dangerous but at least he had a chance to hide. In the city he would have to hide from demons that would want to get closer to Anithal.
"Where are you going?"
He turned around and found Vernes chugging his drink.
"Well, I'm getting the hell out of this city."
Vernes whipped his mouth with his sleeves and then yawned, "About that, I would actually like to offer you a deal that you might find interesting."

Another world
For some, this old story would always be altered, but the outcome was always the same. 'The Evening Celebration.' Some blame humanity for provoking them, while others accuse monsters from another realm, and a few believed it was all merely the devil's fault. There is now a killer in the city. Attacking all the young ladies, pulling something from within them, and abandoning them on the doorsteps of their loved ones. Exactly similar to the old story. Will this issue ever be resolved, or will it be the start of something new? Ignoring the matter is also an option. Continuing with their everyday routine is generally a wise decision. That's just for the time being, of course. Till the plot leads them to someone they should have never encountered.

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
