《I'm not evil, trust》Chapter 2 - well chapter one extended

Sigh, I pulled into an underground parking lot. It honestly felt like the worst day for me but maybe that was because I was planning on getting laid. Instead it turned into a shopping trip with my future wife being extra harsh when she noticed I was low on minor things like tissue, napkins, and detergent. I mean, I'm a single man most of the time. I don't pay attention until that stuff is out.
I cut the engine and hopped out. It was a good thing I parked near the south entrance instead of the north. I could smell the heavy scent of cleaning oil used to remove gunpowder residue, in the air. Only reason for that to happen is if a large gathering of cops or feds with standard issue firearms are nearby. I tapped the elevator button and this group of cops walked over with flashlights. They were shining it on license plates and then reporting the plates to the walkie.
It made me wonder if this was a sting operation and I definitely did not need cops snooping in my life. Yet, I couldn't possibly figure out why they were bothering with this when the club was pretty much a legit business.
I stepped into the elevator as one of the prettier cops turned to me. I wave and the woman didn't seem all that pleased about my flirt attempt. She just had no idea I was thinking about plundering her soul in a more intimately painful fashion.
I sent out a message to all the shifters working tonight.
Code red.-
I guess it was finally time for me to clean the house. I wondered what kind of reward the organization will give me. Maybe a main role in some low budget film or a role with more screen time in a TV series? Either one would be good money.
The elevator dinged open and my boss assistant gave me a weird smile that set my nerves on fire. The lady was hot but in a slender pencil skirt, blouse wearing, kind of way. She has just enough hump that her outfit wasn't detrimental but small enough that you felt like you could fuck her guts. Yet, this tiny woman was what I called a spellcaster. Someone capable of chanting spells and roasting people alive with a flick of her fingers.

Kind of the real boss hidden behind the figure head.
"Meeting set up in conference room two. The higher ups want a clean household." She said in a deadpan voice as she turned around and led the way.
I follow while thinking of how to safely handle this situation. Oh, who was I kidding. I was most definitely going to show out. These mundane weren't even enough for me to break a sweat.
The moment I walked into the room, I found my boss sitting beside one of the enforcers. A mundane man by the name of Tim Butcher who had an impressive rap sheet. The big guy had a skill though and that made him valuable.
On the other side of the table were two spooks. One dress like a rich kid tech nerd and the other looking like he was recruited from the special forces. Someone even let him in with a Beretta and three throwing knives.
"Mr. Winters, these two gentlemen are from a tech company and they have an interesting proposition. I thought as the club partner that you would want to hear this." My boss smiled in a way that felt so similar to a snake. Like she felt that she was going to get one over me.
I reached my hand into my pocket and grabbed the rubber grip of the Beretta. When I pulled it back, I immediately aimed at the stocky brute. I watched the shock appear on his face as he reached and failed to touch his missing gun. Followed by his head rocking back as a red dot blossoms between his eyes.
It took not even a second for me to kill the other spook who tried to dive under the table. Or to throw a knife that cut through my boss throat and slammed home into her bodyguard chest. I pop both of them to ensure their deaths.
I had a second to think that this was easier than taking out a rival gang. I cut the lights and took the shadows to my car where I threw on a mask and tied my loose hair into a ponytail.
Time to do some snooping.
I reentered the shadows and appeared behind the crowd as the swat teams stormed the club. I guess they were more prepared than I knew. Even brought out the surveillance vans. Makes it so easy on me.

Elbowing through the crowd took me more than ten minutes. Some people see a big guy in a mask and they have the nerve to run their mouths. In the end, I walked through but not without grabbing a few cops attention. I almost wanted to turn around and tear those skinny fucks apart but I just took my anger out on the cops.
A bullet for each of you!
You would think that more cops would surround me but upon hearing gunfire. They dove behind their cars or whatever they had and looked around.
Me, I just walked right into the surveillance van and smiled at the first tech nerd who turned to me.
"Who are…"
I unloaded a clip into all the people on board. Even had to grab an extra gun to ensure some of them stayed dead before I could happily sit behind a computer. I tapped a few times and realized it was on the login screen. A quick glance around showed me the same thing. Which means I was too hasty in killing everybody.
Grunting, I grabbed two flashbangs from the ammo cage and tossed them outside. After hearing the bang and a few cries, I rushed towards the other van. This time I left three alive just with a few holes.
I planned ahead just in case one of them wanted to be a hero and not comply but they all made copies of everything related to evolvers within their authority. It really ruined my moment of thinking of something to say that would inflict max trauma on the other guys.
I snatched the flash drive from them and held off the thought of killing them. Instead, I had them turn off the monitors while I cut the lights. I threw open the door and tossed out flashbangs. Stepping into the shadows right after only to be knocked out right after I got passed the crowd. The flashbangs were hella strong.
By the time I made it to my car, sirens destroyed the peaceful silence. Too late to be reinforcement.
I threw my mask into the passenger seat and pulled out the garage. It was no surprise that red and blue lights set up barricades up ahead. I sighed as I glanced backwards and saw the same thing. I was mildly unimpressed with this waste of tax dollars.
What real reason did they have for employing hundreds of cops and feds to do a sting operation on a legitimate business. I couldn’t honestly think what illegal thing we have committed but nothing came to mind. The boss wasn't an evolver, so she had no idea what went on in that world. As for the business end of our group? It was not even a very good money laundry business. Just a bunch of actors and models spending money together under a collaboration of financial advisors.
However, that didn't feel like what had set the feds off. No, it felt like they were targeting us evolvers for a specific reason. While some of us still did or live on illegal means. Nobody in my pack was a big time criminal. Just low level drug dealers or lawyers who work for them. The rest were in short words, common folk.
Which means that the feds were targeting us for being evolvers. Like how mutants were bullied by their government.
A tap on my window dragged me out my thoughts. I rolled down my window and threw a frown at the officer who was not so subtly flashing his light into my car.
"Registration and licenses, please." The way he said that wasn't like he was asking but telling me.
I pop open my glove box and pulled out my Registration card. I leaned forward a bit and pulled out my wallet, fishing out my license. The guy snatched them out my hand before I even got them up to the window. He growled and threw it back in.
"Move along."
I almost shot him, right then and there. Instead against my better judgement, I drove on through. Not even halfway to my house, a car started following me. Yet, again the government is giving me all kinds of signs that they were attempting to be like nazis. Should I just take them all down or wait for a solid reason?
My phone went off and I struggled to get it out of my pocket.
"Yes?"
"Tomorrow at noon. Meeting at the usual place."
"Okay."
Like always that was all I could get out before they hung up. I wondered what they knew about how we became evolvers in the first place.
