《The Strongest Soul》Chapter 6: Guillotine Slice

Kain found himself inside of a dark murky place. The large two headed wolf had actually swallowed him whole. Its saber teeth made it so that it couldn’t chew and Kain was so small compared to the beast that it couldn’t use its second head to rip him apart. This way of eating was normal for the beast actually so it didn’t make it any difference. It would just wait until its prey was either dying from being digested or suffocated or drowned.
Kain suddenly jerked and punched out with his hand toward a nearby ‘wall’. Then he punched again and again. He even threw in some kicks and headbutts. He was struggling until he could internally injure this beast. He knew he wasn’t a match for the beast on the outside and the only chance he had was to defeat the beast on the inside.
This was something that was passed down as knowledge around this planet. If a large beast you couldn’t escape from started chasing you, take the chance to be swallowed whole and beat it from the inside. It was basically considered general knowledge on this planet. So that was the approach Kain had taken to fight back against this beast.
Kain took everything he had to injure this large beast. But no matter what he did it seemed as if the beast could just shrug off his attacks as if they were nothing. After his soul awakened, Kain’s strength, speed, agility, potential, and everything about him improved. For his age he was actually immensely stronger than many adults. But even with that increase in strength, it wasn’t enough to shake this beast.
Kain continued to sink further down into the stomach of this beast. He fought relentlessly and didn’t stop raining down blows. He continuously punched, kicked, and headbutted the beast from the inside in an attempt to injure it.

“That’s a pretty nice strategy you have there. Unfortunately, you aren’t actually strong enough to shake a creature of this strength yet. I like your drive kid, I really do. You really remind me of my master when he…” The soul stopped speaking before continuing on with a different train of thought.
“Anyways, there might be a way for you to escape this beast if you’re talented enough. I’ll show you a technique and if you’re able to do it, you should be able to carve your way through this beast. I’ll guide the energy through your body while I transmit the technique to you. For now, keep on attacking.”
The soul stopped talking as a wave of gentle energy washed through Kain’s body. A simple technique appeared within his mind. It was being demonstrated by a figure in crimson furs and crimson eyes. Every movement he did was simple and to the point. The figure raised a hand into the air and then swept it down with a shockingly fast speed. It was akin to a scythe slicing through the air. The technique replayed itself in his mind three times before Kain was able to get the name of this technique.
Kain stopped raining down blows and coldly raised his hand into the air. His energy was being guided by the soul and a black light was converging upon his hand. With a swipe of his hand Kain swept down with a lightning fast strike.
Guillotine Slice!
This strike was meant to slice through everything. Meant to create a path for one’s self no matter what was in the way. It was a simple strike but it was very profound. Kain didn’t even understand it, all he did was copy the movements and followed the intent.
That wave of his hand caused the beast to let out a furious roar. Blood gushed out of the wound within the beast and splashed on the face and body of Kain. This strike left a deep gash in the beast but it couldn’t do anything to fight back. Kain kept on repeatedly using this strike in an attempt to kill the beast. Soon he managed to find the heart and sliced right through it.

The beast shuddered and then went limp as it died. Black light enveloped the beast and soon the whole beast disappeared without a trace. Kain was left standing there with a cold face. He had experienced too much and it had changed him mentally. In front of him he could see the light of a distant village up ahead.
